Mike felt a pain in his wrist and groaned. His head was buzzing. He tried to breathe, but a strong cough came out. He tried to open his eyes. Everything in front of him was floating.

To his surprise, he was still alive. Mike was lying on his side in a pile of garbage. It was dusty all around. It made it hard to breathe. The dust made his throat scratch and he coughed repeatedly.

Gradually he regained control of his body. Mike took a handkerchief from his pocket and breathed through it. It felt considerably better. After catching his breath a little, he was able to pull himself up and sit up.
