The two redeemers descend into the dungeons of the fortress, entering an enormous, empty chamber. This is where they would fight.
Raxyas stood by the entrance of the chamber, as Xayn walked across it to stand at the very end [https://img.wattpad.com/3d0c664471c8f4112398d6cc464df57ff9a849cd/68747470733a2f2f73332e616d617a6f6e6177732e636f6d2f776174747061642d6d656469612d736572766963652f53746f7279496d6167652f514931334c56434930574d3962773d3d2d313139373436313739392e3137323866663238396236343138633037303330343337303235342e706e67?s=fit&w=1280&h=1280]
Raxyas positioned himself at the end closest to the chamber's entrance, whereas Xayn walked across it to stand on the opposing side. Once in position, they stopped for a moment, and absolute silence took over.
Xayn: BEGIN!
The room quaked as flames emerged from their hands, with the same color as their eyes. From within the flames came powerful arms, each unique to the soul of its bearer. Xayn's weapon was a bow, an extremely long bow at that. It had a spike on each end to penetrate the ground, allowing the user to shoot almost spear-sized arrows. A great ranged weapon but of little use in melee combat. Raxyas' weapon was a whip-sword. In its default form, it resembled a gladius, though the blade could break into a myriad of shards connected by a thin ethereal string that could stretch for several meters and, in that form, be used as a whip.
Then, the battle began. Acknowledging Xayn's advantage, Raxyas tried to quickly close the gap by running toward Xayn. However, Xayn anticipated such a move and prepared to rain hell upon him. With three arrows loaded, Xayn shoots, and the arrows travel at an astounding speed. In the air, they break in halves, which repeatedly break in halves, until a wall of smaller-sized arrows zoomed toward Raxyas.
With no chance to dodge, he transforms the gladius into its whip form and begins rapidly spinning it in front of himself [https://img.wattpad.com/de119652d23bda6445675902762a0984ef986130/68747470733a2f2f73332e616d617a6f6e6177732e636f6d2f776174747061642d6d656469612d736572766963652f53746f7279496d6167652f374e705669734e566a5149666b413d3d2d313139373436313739392e313732386666376335323366303831663737353334373936333436342e706e67?s=fit&w=1280&h=1280]
With no chance to dodge, he transforms the gladius into its whip form and begins rapidly spinning it in front of himself. The shards rotated with such incredible speed that the weapon could now be used as a shield. As the arrows came in contact with it, they were ripped to shreds by the sharp, rotating blade shards.
Raxyas continued to advance, as Xayn loaded a single arrow into the bow. It was fired, however this time it did not divide into multiple arrows. Instead, this arrow stopped in mid-air, halfway between Raxyas and Xayn. Raxyas suddenly stops and morphs the whip back into a sword. He begins slowly moving to the right, as the stopped arrow rotates to follow his movements. Then he steps to the left, and so the arrow aims left as well. With each passing moment, the energy emanating from the arrow grew more and more noticeable. Raxyas knew what was coming. He took a sideways stance, with his body directly aligned with the arrow. Then, it fired. Faster than light. The moment it did, Raxyas swung downwards at the perfect time, effectively slicing the arrow in half, causing both halves to barely scrape off his body. Had he not adopted such a stance, surely both parts would have pierced him. Close enough to Xayn, he takes two confident steps and leaps into the air. Without a good angle to shoot from, Xayn abandons his bow and begins using the large arrows as spears. Even without the use of the bow, the spears were still extremely deadly. As Raxyas begins to descend, Xayn throws forth two arrows, which both miss the target. Desperately, one last spear is hastily thrown right at Raxyas, which is promptly sliced in half, failing to affect him in any way. Raxyas goes for the finishing blow – a downward slice headed toward Xayn's skull. Just as the sword is about to connect with the skull, two arrows pierce the back of Raxyas' head, the tips coming out of his eye sockets – the same arrows that had just missed him.

Xayn grins.
Xayn: Come now Raxyas, you know I never accidentally miss my target...
Raxyas crashes into the ground, his skull cracking against the cold, hard floor.
Raxyas: ... Cut me some slack... I'm clearly out of shape...
He says, as he slowly brings himself upright, and pulls the arrows out of his own skull.
Xayn: Shall we go again?
Raxyas: We won't stop until I beat you.
The second round started, and Raxyas wasted no time. From his end of the chamber, he throws his weapon in its gladius form at Xayn in such a fashion that it almost seemed like one of Xayn's arrows, albeit traveling much slower. Xayn had never seen this move before and did not know what to expect. He decides that shooting the weapon out of its trajectory would be the best option, and so he fires a single arrow that strikes the blade at just the right angle to send it flying down to the stone floor.
As soon as the tip of the blade touches the ground, a flash of light is created, and Xayn becomes temporarily blinded [https://img.wattpad.com/75fc0b7ce895c6f8be3e6ac4388701e57c8a0fad/68747470733a2f2f73332e616d617a6f6e6177732e636f6d2f776174747061642d6d656469612d736572766963652f53746f7279496d6167652f2d475839514448654446346451773d3d2d313139373436313739392e313732393030393138643766313134393239393238373536393639362e706e67?s=fit&w=1280&h=1280]
As soon as the tip of the blade touches the ground, a flash of light is created, and Xayn becomes temporarily blinded. Without his sight, he has to trust his hearing to pinpoint Raxyas' location, which is of little difference to him, as his weapon grants him an unparalleled hearing. He suddenly hears the sound of crushing rock from afar, quickly moving towards him. Moments later, he could feel the floor vibrating as well. Raxyas was closing in. Xayn loads two arrows and fires them at the ground in front of him in such a way that they pierce the floor. Energy flows between the two arrows, as a forcefield is generated in a wall-like shape as if the two arrows were connected by a line that was then pulled from the ground and into the ceiling of the room.

Raxyas was running unarmed towards Xayn, as his whip sword carved onto the stone floor rotating at an exhilarating speed, much like a sawblade cuts through wood. The sound it created crushing the rock beneath was the sound Xayn heard from afar, and it accelerated more and more as it rotated rapidly towards him. Seconds later, an explosion is heard, signalling that something had hit Xayn's forcefield. Knowing its exact position, Xayn fires a volley of arrows at the target, until it produces no more sound. As he slowly regains his vision, he looks where the arrows landed and sees Raxyas' gladius on the floor, with his arrows next to it. It was too late already, for before he had a chance to look up, Raxyas was already approaching from above while charging a powerful downwards kick that landed squarely on Xayn's head, sending his skull flying straight into the ground, where it then laid embedded.
Raxyas: Well Xayn, how about that?
Xayn struggled to free his skull from the stone, so only muffled sounds could be heard as he attempted to answer Raxyas. Angry muffled sounds. Raxyas helped him get free, and they prepared for the next clash.
And so the two redeemers fought, with each round oscillating between a victory for one end or for the other. Eventually, they tire themselves out and decide that they had had enough training for the time being. Rest followed their session.
After hours of travel, their first target was now close, as Morthol's map revealed...
Raxyas: The target seems to be... Zank...?
Xayn: Hmm... Number 6. Zank the Vain. Supposedly, he is a great warrior, although a bit too confident in his own abilities... Which explains his nickname. Are you sure that energy reading is his?
Raxyas: It's clear now. That's him. But... This increase in power is unnatural.
Xayn: We'll have to keep our guard up at all times.
Raxyas: Yeah, well... So will he.
Real battle would soon ensue.
