Ch5: Problems At Every Step

Ch5: Problems At Every Step

The chilling atmosphere did not last long. Even if he knew that there was a perpetrator behind all his sufferings, ultimately, his main priority was to reach his home planet and his family.

"Fuuh... "

The torn space soon returned to its original state, like it was not torn apart a moment ago. Under the universal laws, even a god could not easily damage the foundation of the universe.

"... Let's continue."

Now that he had calmed his spirit down, he moved on and started the process to establish a link to Earth.

What he used as the link was the vestiges of his presence, which were left on Earth, where he lived for twenty years. These vestiges could be said to be the remnant left when he interacted with people and nature.

The memories he left in people's minds and its influence on them, the change he brought to the world—no matter how small—and the miniscule life force he left behind as he lived his life.

It all became a link, and through his Aura Piercing Eye, he clearly felt the existence of Earth even through this distance.

"There you are."

Unlike Karma, which was a little vague and inaccurate, the aura shone clearly amidst the darkness of space. He could feel this aura moving at an unimaginable speed, which clearly showed the moving path of Earth.

The aura became a beacon of light in the dark ocean as he sailed it towards with a clear destination in mind.

"... Then, here I go."

And then he disappeared.

*****

Nothing exists in the void of space. A vacuum pervaded it, and no sign of life could be felt there. Even the surrounding outer space of Earth was the same. No sound could be heard, no life could be felt, and no change could be observed from their point of view.

It was what many mortals thought.

But for a God like Rihan, it was very, very different.

A Living World emitted a large amount of life force and energy into the space, which could be felt from hundreds of kilometers away. The peculiar flow of energy as well as the cluster of luck and fortune was not something hidden from the eyes of Gods.

That was why Rihan found it extremely strange and suspicious when his senses could not pick up anything of these peculiarities, even when Earth was in front of him.

He could still feel the undeniable connection to it as his home planet, but everything was veiled aside from it. Even his senses could not penetrate into the Earth and spy on it.

"Why is there a barrier set up here?"

Moreover, the barrier was not weak, as it could obstruct him. His teleportation directly to the Earth's surface has failed, and he appeared in the space void a few hundred kilometers away.

At that moment, he saw a small asteroid entering the Earth's atmosphere without any problem. It left a long trail of fire behind and soon disappeared, turning into dust.

"Hmm, it is a bit strange. This barrier obstructs God only. Hm, hm, why is that?"

The Saha World's barrier was definitely put up for the Mortals. Otherwise, he would not be able to escape from there if it was a well-made barrier, especially for Gods.

But aside from them, there was another absurdity.

"Was there such a huge ass tower in my time?"

It was a strange tower, which he saw, and it was so huge that it reached all the way up into the outer space.

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

It definitely did not look like a man's creation, no matter how much he overestimated the capabilities of mortals.

"Haah."

𝘛𝘢𝘱. 𝘛𝘢𝘱.

As his foot moved up and down impatiently, space undulated violently and affected the outer space around the Earth. But these space ripples did not even reach Earth's atmosphere before being absorbed by the damn barrier.

"How annoying."

Who was it that set up this hateful barrier?

Who was so confident to try mess with him?

Who was the fucker that was delaying his return to his family?!

"Hahaha. Is there also an Innate God on Earth? Why don't you show yourself, huh?"

His patience began to wear out at last as he felt like everyone and everything was hindering him. What was wrong with him? He just wanted some peace in his life.

But it seemed to him that even becoming a God was not enough to be able to live his life carelessly and without any worries. Life was surely hard when you just wanted a little bit of happiness.

In his fury, he unleashed all his Godly Presence. His Divine Spirit blared menacingly like the edge of a sword, and the aura of a Conqueror dominated the space around him.

𝘙𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘭𝘦!

The flow of energy distorted to unimaginable levels, but thankfully, the Earth remained safe.

Suddenly...

"Hmm?"

Space constricted around him, trying to restrict his overflowing power. At the same time, he felt someone trying to teleport him to an unknown location.

"It is really an Innate God. But..."

It was pure foolishness to restrict him with the power of space. But something else intrigued him.

"This is not the Authority of Sapce."

Instead, it was like he had trespassed into another's territory, and the owner of that territory was just exercising his power over him—the trespasser.

"It is an interesting concept. Hmm, I have heard about it in novels, if I think about it."

What was it called? Sacred Grounds? Or Divine Territory.

Meanwhile, amidst his monologue, he was also analyzing the structure of this territory and the intent behind the action.

As though mocking the ability of the Innate God, it's actions did absolutely nothing to him; on the other hand, he was calmly observing his situation.

'The Intent isn't even that strong. I don't think this Innate God is that powerful.'

Suddenly, he looked in a particular direction.

"Caught you."

The Intent infused around his surroundings became the link as it guided him to the secretly hidden space.

𝘍𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘩!

He disappeared again.

*****

If you ask a mortal what he thought Heavens looked like, he would definitely answer this.

A beautiful and peaceful sky with fluffy clouds sailing all across it, brightened up by the soothing rays of sunlight, bringing sacred serenity to your soul.

Well, the scene in front of Rihan might as well be the same.

But instead of bringing serenity to his soul, the place was more irritating to him.

'I don't like this place.'

Just by standing in this place, he could feel some kind of strange energy affecting his State of Mind. But thanks to his Godly Soul and the Spirit of Endlessness, it had minimal effect on him.

Nevertheless, it was baffling that something like this could affect him. He silently circulated his physique and refined the energy.

'Much better.'

𝘊𝘭𝘢𝘱. 𝘊𝘭𝘢𝘱.

Sounds of clapping resounded throughout the sky. From nowhere, a middle-aged man came out and appeared in front of him. And with him, a vast Godly Presence filled his surroundings.

'His presence is wavering. Hmm, why is that?'

It was not very noticeable and deeply hidden, but the slight tremors and crack in the Godly Presence could not escape his senses.

'His Identity is likely wavering. He is also not that strong. The reasons maybe–'

His thoughts flowed only to that point.

"For a recently ascended Mortal God, you have quite the capabilities, oh fellow Earth Dweller."

The Innate God praised him even when he forcefully barged into his territory and even tried to act friendly by referring to him as a fellow Earth Dweller.

'What is his purpose?'

"I don't know that there was also an Innate God on my home planet."

The Innate God smiled as he said,

"Of course, you didn't know. In fact, every Living World has at least one Innate God overlooking it. I am the one who governs the Earth World."

'That's new.' Rihan thought in his mind.

'If that's the case, then there might be more Innate Gods in the Universe than I initially thought. Hmm, maybe the barrier was to protect his world from other Innate Gods?'

"I also know about you." The Innate God continued as Rihan's expression became odd at his words. "Of course, as you are a God, I can't read your Karma just like a Mortal. But, since I am the Innate God of the World you were born in, I can still glean some insignificant information about you."

At the Innate God's expected explanation, Rihan nodded slightly to him. But he didn't believe his words completely.

'He is trying to gain my trust. I should pry for some information, then.'

He repressed his anger and impatience for now. After all, he had already waited for two thousand years; some more minutes were fine to him.

"Then, do you know why I was teleported away from this world? And why I came back."

"Yes, but I don't know your intentions for coming back. Is it to see your home world again or meet your family members?"

He ignored his question and asked the reason for his teleportation instead.

"What was the reason?" He asked with a sharp voice.

"That." The Innate God pointed downwards, his finger pointing in the direction of the Tower.

"That tower? Right, I don't remember being it there in my time. Hmm, did it appear after my disappearance? Or... it appears at the same time as the space-time fluctuation tunnel."

"You are quite sharp. Yes, that Tower appeared out of nowhere one day. Because of it's appearance, the space around the Earth became unstable, and unluckily, you got sucked in a rare phenomenon."

"Hmm." Rihan fell into contemplation as he looked at the Tower closely.

'Should I trust his words?'

This whole conversation seemed as if being steered in a particular direction by him. Even though he was the one questioning, he was not confident to say he was the one who was leading.

"And."

Rihan looked at the Innate God when his tone suddenly changed.

"Your mother is no longer alive."

'Huh? What did he just say?'

"It is unfortunate, but you can't meet your mother anymore."

"...What?"

𝘉𝘰𝘰𝘰𝘰𝘮! 𝘊𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘬!!!

𝘋𝘪𝘯𝘨! 𝘋𝘪𝘯𝘨! 𝘋𝘪𝘯𝘨!

With those words, all his remaining Divine Seats opened completely and let out a menacing burst of power.

*****

'What a boundless Spirit. It seems to contain the principles of endless growth, just like the Universe.'

The Innate God thought to himself in surprise as he looked at the broken fragments of the space, sharply pointing towards him with murderous intent.

"What is your purpose in telling this?" Rihan asked with an angry look.

'A smart child indeed, but... unnecessarily emotional for a God.'

In spite of the danger he was in, the mysterious smile never left his face. It irked Rihan even more.

"You are misunderstanding something here, oh fellow Earth Dweller. I am not one who killed your mother."

Killed... Killed... Killed...

This word seemed to reverberate across the realm as the mental state of Rihan deteriorated even further.

'Good. Become even more agitated. Be more emotional, and let your weakness consume you to become my sword.'

"... Do I have to care about that? I can just kill you to try to meddle with me."

'Oh? He noticed. Impressive, he had not lived so long for nothing. But I am still superior to a recently ascended God.'

"You are strong; I acknowledge that. But!"

With just a gesture from the Inbate God, the space of the secret realm was restored.

"You are still too naive if you think you can kill me, your own God."
