drip.
drip.
DRIP.
DRIP.
The sound of the water drops was getting louder and louder as I continued to walk towards it. My right hand as on the wall, tracing it. While I used my left hand to wave in front of me so that I would not accidentally hit anything in the darkness. I continued walking like that for a good few minutes.
I was about to stop and rest when I felt that something wet near my feet. Crouching down, I swiped my fingers on the ground. It was definitely wet.
'Almost there.' I said to myself, smiling in the meanwhile.
I got up and kept walking.
* * *
I was shocked out of my wits. I was somewhat sure that I had to go left and right like a maze in the cave while following the sound and tracing the wall. However, I had finally arrived at my destination. The water. The reason I was so surprised was that the water was located in some sort of a crevice but the thing is that the water was glowing blue. Glowing so bright that the first few seconds when I saw it, I thought I was blind.
After finally finding the water something made me wonder. It should have been quite some time since I woke up. I should be feeling hungry or at least, thirsty. Right? I couldn't feel any hunger or thirst inside me. That was weird. Nevertheless, I approached the crevice to take a deeper look in the water.
I squished myself through the crevice so that I could reach the water behind it. It wasn't really hard considering that my body was relatively flexible and slim. I arrived on the edge of the crater, a lake, a pool of water? I'll go with a pool of water. Looked down to check my reflection, I have to admit that I was still wondering what situation my body was in.

I could not see...
No, I was able to see. But it was something unexplainable. I was not able to discern anything from the reflection I was seeing. I scratched my head then started feeling my ears, my nose, my eyes, my mouth one by one. I could.
'Maybe it's about water?' I thought. I could definitely feel everything, but the water was not able to reflect it. Probably something in the water, maybe just because it's dark here? Surely, I could not answer that question.
Suddenly, the cave shook, it shook hard. I fell down on my butt, trying not to fall inside the pool of water as I had decided to call it. Cowering in fear, I used my hands to protect myself in case any rock decided giving up on life and fall down onto me. After a few seconds, the shaking stopped. Luckily enough, no rock piece had fallen on me. I raised my head and started checking my surroundings to verify what happened. Looking behind me, I saw that the crevice I had initially come here from was sealed with huge boulders. That just meant one thing, there was no going back or venturing inside the cave... Unless there is another way.
"DRINK."
I jumped in fright. I had heard a voice. It was the first time I heard a voice since waking up in this case. I was trying to locate where the sound came from when I heard it again.
"DRINK."
The voice was... ethereal. It was coming from inside my head, my left, my right, above me... All directions. I was scared, yet tempted. I wasn't hungry or thirsty. But something made me want to drink the water after hearing the voice.
I submerged my hand into the water. It was not cold or hot. It was not warm either. As I shook my hand inside the water, it felt like my body was being charged. Brimming with energy.
I cupped my hands and took out a small part of the water, looking at it shining blue just before drinking it.
