It was way into midnight, and I couldn't feel my body anymore but I can't give up. The only thought going on my mind was  'I have to save the prince'. I was the strongest swordsman on my continent, yet my king ordered me to retreat and run away with the prince I was near the castle gate when I noticed a soldier charging toward me his sword horizontally pointed right at my chest not wasting a single second side jumped dodging his attack then formed an ice spear and threw right into his skull. Entering the castle I quickly slammed the doors shut. The cries of battle echoed in the halls, and not even trying to catch my breath I ran towards the prince's room as I barged into the young prince's room my eyes widened as I witnessed the young prince putting on his armor to assist the kingdom. The little prince who just started his combat and mana training 2 years ago, showed no expression of fear on his face he looked at me surprised that if I was here 'the strongest swordsman' of the kingdom of Scorpin then who was beside his father the king of Scorpin he snapped "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE CAIN?!" ignoring his question I picked up the 10-year-old prince, got out of the castle than ran towards the stable as much as I wanted to fight beside my king Karsen I also had a responsibility to keep prince Kores alive.

When I got to the stables the horses were all injured, and the only choice I had was to run into a forest of beasts, The forest was the best if not the safest choice because the forest is filled with monsters strong and weak. I knew the forces won't chase us once we were near the forest, but I underestimated the enemy.

As I was on my way toward the forest, my senses started shivering as I noticed a huge fire blast directed toward me I tossed the prince aside and formed an ice wall to take all the damage head-on but something wasn't right I knew there was no one with this strong mana control and power in the city where the surprise attack took place did they plan all this so that the soldier would only have the forest of the beast as an only choice. When the fireball collided with my wall, The wall shattered into pieces stopping the fireball as I thought to myself 'my ice got shattered like thin glass, MY ICE?'. Just when I wondered about this, I saw him and it cleared half of the doubts in my head, since the battle commenced we didn't know who and how they infiltrated the kingdom.

But now I know who infiltrated the kingdom, It was those damned Virgisians, and the person walking toward me was none other than the prince of Virgisian kingdom, his pitch-black single horn attached on his forehead lined vertically up, dressed in silver armor with a sword embedded in fire from the tip to the end of its blade, he was called Droga the Vargisian knight prince. He looks at me grinning as if everything was going all according to his plan, He stops and says " Cain!, its over, give up the young prince and I'll ask father to spare you " I just stared into his eyes, and he knew what my answer was. He shouts aggressively " YOU BETTER NOT REGRET THIS! ".

He comes running toward me with his blade, I quickly took out my sword and formed a huge icebox on the prince, covering my sword with ice I charged toward him our swords clung, and I directed his powered slash away from the prince this time I run towards him and again our swords clung I quickly formed a tiny spear while pushing my sword forward, threw the spear on his face he dodged the attack almost instantly. I quickly took a few steps back trying to find an opening but the knight prince didn't let me have it my way he charged toward me conjuring five fireballs on the tips of his fingers as soon as we clanged swords, he released one of the fireballs near my face as soon I sidestepped he released all the other in my direction I tried to conjure an ice armor around my body but it was too late I was already hit with two of his spells. My body was already feeling numb and now was hit with two spells strong enough to rip through a normal soldier's body even with the strongest metal. 

I knew this was it as I thought to myself " some strongest swordsman I was" but I wouldn't go down alone. I showed no sign of fear and regret and rushed toward Droga shouting " Let me show you the power of a Scorpin knight " when I said this I could hear him stiffening, he replied " O my, the knight speaks! " I got more furious at his unfunny joke as soon as our swords clung I dashed back knowing he would repeat the same trick he came charging with his five fireballs again but this time I covered myself in ice armor the purest I could create using all of my mana, I kept doing the same thing over and over. Our swords kept clanging trying to annoy the knight. I smelled sweat, The knight was getting tired, he started charging in blindly after a few exchanges but this was what I was waiting for as soon as I dashed back this time he came charging in with no idea how he should attack me I dropped my sword, the knight thought I've given up to be precise I had lost all hope of survival, when his fire blade touched my ice armor I focused all my replenished mana to form spikes from the armor and stabbed him with me.
