In the frosty wilderness of the Kingdom of Grivania, within the city of Frostwich, it was the year 1095. Deep within the northern Frostwich forest, a skilled archer named Edwin crept silently through the underbrush, a bow clutched tightly in his hands. Ahead, a boar grazed, unaware of the hunter's approach. As he closed the distance to approximately 50 meters from his quarry, Edwin carefully aimed his bow. With bated breath and unwavering focus, he released the arrow.
A sharp twang filled the air as the arrow sailed through the wind, finding its mark in the boar's chest. Startled, the boar let out a brief cry before collapsing to the forest floor.
"Nice shot, Edwin," complimented Marvin.
"It's enough for today. Let's head back to the city," replied Edwin, considering the fading light and the imminent danger of other animals detecting the scent of blood.
"But we're on a good run," Marvin protested.
"It's getting dark, Marvin, and soon other predators will be drawn by the scent of blood," Edwin cautioned.
"Alright, but where's Rex?" Marvin inquired.
"He must be playing somewhere. Don't worry; he'll return," assured Edwin.

Just then, the sound of a dog's barking echoed from the north.
"It's coming from the north," Marvin pointed out.
"Let's go. I hope Rex hasn't found any trouble," Edwin said, concern evident in his voice.
The two men hurriedly made their way towards the source of the barking, preparing for any potential encounter. When they reached the spot, they discovered a small, whimpering puppy on the ground. Edwin picked up the pup and examined it closely.
"It's a wolf," he remarked.
"Hmm, its parents must be around. We should move quickly," Marvin suggested.
"I have an idea where they might be. Look, there's a blood trail," Edwin pointed out, showing the drops of blood leading further north.
"Let's follow it and see where it leads," Marvin proposed.
"We might encounter trouble, Marvin," Edwin cautioned.
"But there's also the chance for an easy hunt," Marvin countered, his adventurous spirit getting the better of him.
Marvin began tracking the blood trail, with Edwin and the wolf pup following close behind. After about 10 minutes of following the trail, Marvin suddenly stopped in his tracks.
"What's wrong? Did you find something?" Edwin inquired.
"I think I've found its parent," Marvin replied quietly.
Just ahead, they spotted a wolf lying on the ground, motionless with closed eyes.
Marvin approached cautiously to examine the wolf's body. "Looks like a boar's tusk pierced its chest," he observed.
"You carry the wolf, and I'll take the boar," Edwin suggested.
"What about the pup?" Marvin asked.
"The pack will find him," Edwin replied with confidence.
"Your family has a history of wolf companions," Marvin reminded him.
"That was a long time ago," Edwin replied with a hint of nostalgia.
"But your family would be perfect for raising a wolf," Marvin persisted.
"Do you think Victoria would approve?" Edwin chuckled sarcastically.
"Alright, it's up to you. Take him or leave him," Marvin relented.
Edwin contemplated for a few moments before making up his mind. "Okay, I'll take him. Perhaps Fenrir can take care of him."
"I knew you wouldn't disappoint me," Marvin said with a grin.
As the sun began to set, Edwin, Marvin, Rex, a boar, dead adult wolf, and a wolf pup made their way out of the forest.
