In the Beginning (Chapter 1)

Third person pov:

"Daddy, daddy can you tell me one more time" , said the little boy.

"This again Itami. I must've said this story a thousand times, don't you ever get tired of it". "No!!! How can I? It's so amazing", said Itami.

"Why can't you bother your mother about this, I'm sure she'd love to spend some time with you and read you as many books as you'd like," said Hayato, Itamis' father. Hearing the reluctance in his father's voice, Itami shivered at the thought. Itami's mother, Rin, had always wanted a girl, and when Itami was born seeing a boy made her disappointed. However, although she was sad at first, a few minutes later she immediately perked up because Itami was so adorable. Ever since then, she made it her mission to treat him as the daughter she never had. Including dresses, make up, and everything in between. Knowing what his fate would be if he was forced to "play" with her, Itami decided to pull out his trump card.

"She just doesn't say it the way you do," Itami countered with puppy dog eyes.

"Okay fine. I guess I can grace you with my greatness one last time" said Hayato. Itami, seeing the faint shade of pink on his fathers cheeks could only sigh even though his plan had successfully worked.

Itami's perspective:

My father was once a traveling author before he met my mother.

He rarely talks about it but I know he misses it. Sometimes I catch him looking at his old journal where he keeps his stories with a tear in his eye.

Nevertheless, I still take advantage of it sometimes. I know it's wrong to think like this, but can you blame me? Whenever I brush his ego a bit he simply folds, and if all else fails, who can resist these adorable eyes?

Third pov:

Once Itami notices that his father is about to tell the story he hushes his mind because he doesn't want to miss anything. Suddenly, Hayato'se eyes shine gold and an arcanic circle covers his eyes.

This is his aspect, the bookkeeper. What's an arcanic circle? What's an aspect? Don't worry he's about to tell you.

In the beginning, there was Arcana, as she always was formless but conscious, and from her came Argonaut the first ever being.

As Argonaut was her first-ever child he tried his best to serve her, but because he was made with a finite lifespan he knew that he himself wouldn't be enough.

As time passed this worry grew bigger and bigger, so to serve his mother better he birthed children in the likeness of his mother, with infinite life. This way she'd never be alone. These children are what we call today the Gods.

Each gifted with miraculous talents, they were called to serve Arcana. However, Argonaut made a fatal mistake when creating them because he never thought about how he could create something that was perfect while he, himself, wasn't.

In his folly his creations, his children, were impure. Some were prideful, somewhere lazy, while others craved destruction and war.

After Arcana saw this she was furious at her child and told him to fix his mess, but he, who could only create, did not know how to destroy because the chaos was not of his mother.

In an attempt to appease his mother, he created demons, beings that could go toe to toe with his children. Unfortunately, even this didn't calm his mother.

Eventually, after being invaded by impure thoughts she lost all reason and went on a rampage threatening the balance of reality itself.

However, before she could destroy everything Argonaut for the first time in his life killed his mother.

After realizing what he had caused, he wept for three days and three nights and split her ethereal body apart into two halves.

the first half became the world, and the second half became the humans.

As the third generation of children of Argonaut, he saw that they were weak and helpless, but also understood that they'd have immense potential as they were directly from his mother.

Because of this, he showed them immense favor in his lifetime giving their realm, Astrea, many things like the seas, land, and the sky, and like him made their lives finite in honor of his mother.

Seeing this the demons in the land of Hades grew jealous, and the gods in the land of Celestia grew intrigued.

However, seeing through their intentions Argonaut became defensive. Knowing that they intended to meddle with the humans he gave the humans the power to protect themselves, these were the first aspects.

Calling spirits with arcanic circles, they granted humans powers that allowed them to manipulate the world made of his mothers flesh, the aether.

However, something unexpected happened: the gods and the demons chose to intermingle with the humans for various reasons.

The demons did this to make their father angry, and the gods did this out of interest and love. From them, the Demi-humans, cursemancers, and heroes of old were born with unimaginable potential.

Seeing how great they became many individuals were happy and hopeful for this development except one, Argonaut.

Seeing his last children born from his mother tainted he fell into a pit of despair and ripped himself limb from limb.

As he died his torn flesh and blood fell onto the Astrea setting his final resting place to be with his mother, but Arcana seething with anger at the time of her passing left her malice in the aether.

So when his flesh fell and hit Astrea rather than being buried they took on different forms.

From his blood came the magic beasts, monsters that upset the balance of nature, and from his flesh birthed the Titans beings that were similar to magic beasts but possessed active consciousness.

When the Titans saw what was left of their predecessors' world they attempted to cleanse it, but were stopped by the combined force of the humans, gods, and demons.

Seeing that they're bound to lose the war they created large structures that housed their souls and bodies, and could be seen from across the horizon. These are the 118 great towers we know today."

Once Hayato was done talking he closed his eyes and they returned to their natural azure color. "Now you know the next part, right Itami." "Yes sir!" Said Itami enthusiastically.

"Though the Titans were sealed in their towers, they insisted on meddling in world affairs hoping to realize the cleansing one day.

The humans knowing this built cities around the towers, and set off on quests to clear them, and the magic beasts. And those that slay the magic beasts, adventure the world ,and challenge the towers are called ….."

"the Chevalier!!!".
