Hi, it's me. It's been a while.

I stopped actively updating this story a few months back. It was my first attempt at writing on a regular basis, and I learned a lot from working on it.

One of the things I learned, was that I didn't understand how to structure a story. The way things were laid out wasn't working, and I felt like I was writing scenes and inventing characters that didn't actually move the plot along, or really tie in to the main conflict. Time spent learning is never wasted time though, and I think some of these characters might find their way into their own adventures in the future.

I haven't given up on the story, and I'm plotting a re-write of it now to deal with the problems I had in the first draft. I do plan to post it on RR, but I'd like to finish the entire thing before I starting releasing chapters.

With that in mind, I decided to take down the first draft. Some of the characters in it won't be back for the second draft, and those that will be will have some significant changes. I don't like the idea of having two conflicting versions of the same story posted, it just feels messy.

If you're one of the people who read and enjoyed the first attempt, thank you very much! I'm working to make the next draft even better! If you read, but didn't enjoy, the first draft... well, I don't know what to tell you. I don't claim to actually be good at this whole thing, the most I'll guarantee is that I'm learning.
