Stuck on the snowy island, I had a lot of trouble on my hands as I awaited for the perfect moment to get out. I look around from under a massive tank when I hear my Codec reciever ringing. I answer it to find Otacon. “Snake, are you there?” He asked me.
“Yeah, I’m here. It’ll take me a while to get to the extraction point, Otacon.”
“What? Why?”
“Well, there’s a lot of people around. And telling from what they’re saying, it seems I’m their guest of honor.”
“Snake... how do you plan to get out of there?”
“It’s a key thing I have.”
“Don’t tell me it’s a cardboard box…”
“Bingo.”
“Snake, you’re crazy! It’s not gonna work!”
“Otacon, I’ve told you once and I’ll tell you again, this box is crucial to upping my success rate.” As I said that, I moved the box out and slammed my fist on the floor. Then crawled backwards as everyone began moving toward the box. I held a detonator in my hand as I stood up, and when I saw that they lifted up the box, I pressed the button. The C4 charge I had set under it exploded, and I immediately ran for the extraction point, with the data in my pocket.
“Snake, what are you even- you know what, never mind…”
“What?”
“It’s nothing.”
“You sure?”
“I was about to question the box, but, seeing as how you’ve mastered basically every use for it…”
“Told you so.”
I sigh as I look at the burning building in the distance. Sitting down, I wondered about the next mission I’d get. But what came next wasn’t pretty. As I fell asleep that night, I was suddenly thrown into a crazy mission that I’d live to tell.
As I fell asleep that night, a light flashed in my eyes, and I was in a colorful place that looked like a tube. I was lost, and asked myself, “Where the hell am I?” as a voice rang out: “I… I finally found you!!”
“What? What’s going on?”
“I had to find you… so I could send you to the world of Pokemon!”
“What’s a Pokemon?”
“I’d be happy to explain, but there’s not much time… there are some really important questions I have to ask you.”

So I did. It felt like a survey set to last for weeks. I didn’t hate it, but it was a bit close. After a long discussion, I was engulfed by a light as Otacon’s voice rang in my head: “Snake? Snake?! SNAAAAAKE!!!” And for a second… I thought I heard it for real before I went temporarily blind.
I was out cold from a sudden impact when I woke up to see myself in some sort of forest. I groaned as I sat up. Looking around I found myself in a place that I was unfamiliar with. I thought I was in some sort of different place on Earth, but when I tried to contact Otacon by Codec, it didn’t work. None of the frequencies that I memorized worked. “The hell’s goin’ on here?” I asked myself, standing up. Then I heard a voice behind me, nearly scaring me to death. “Oh, I’ll tell you what the hell’s going on!” It was a feminine voice. I turned around to see an anthropomorphic white wolf thing with a blade on its head, looking pissed(Absol). “You’re gonna tell me why you just fell down and tried to break my back!!”
“Look, I wasn’t trying to do anything. I don’t even know who or what you are, for that matter.”
“You can’t be serious.”
“I’m dead serious. I’m not supposed to be here.”
“... Don’t tell me you’re a human, too…”
“What the hell are you talking about?”
“There’s other people who were like you that came here. Humans.”
“Can you take me to them, then?”
“I only know one…”
“That’s good enough for me.”
She proceeded to take me to a base that looked like a blue earless blind mouse(Cyndaquil). I walked inside hesitantly, but the moment I saw what was inside, it felt surprisingly calm. Somehow, it reminded me of how much I wanted to go to Alaska. Then again, I was no longer in America… I was in this new place, where strange creatures that I can somehow understand are living like humans. I had only one thought about this: What the hell are these things?!
