Chapter 1: Learning a Lot... Again.

As we walked, I sighed and took the time to ask the wolf, “So what are you?” She sighed and turned to me. I thought she was mad, but then she said, “Look, sit down and I’ll tell you.” I sat down and waited for my answer. My feet were hurting, anyway. I then noticed that I was different. My feet looked like a dog’s paws. Confused, I looked up when she started talking. “What you turned into.. And what I am? We’re called Pokemon. That’s the… general term between us. There’s around 700 different kinds, and you have become one of us. Each species of the Pokemon is different, like me, an Absol-”

“Like, absolute?”

“Yes. and you’re a Lucario from what I see.”

“Lucario? What?”

“I forgot to mention that all Pokemon are divided into different types, and some are mixed.”

“So what ‘type’ am I?” I blushed when I said that.

“Fighting and Steel.”

“So… what does that mean?”

“Well, think about it like this. Have you been shot before?”

“With a gun? Yeah. I consider that my weakness, actually.”

“Well, then there’s certain types which will hit you like one. The ones you’re weak to are Fighting, Ground, and Fire.”

“So nature is somewhat against me, I could die in a fight, and fire melts steel. Is that right?”

“Well, you seem to be learning.”

“I am, aren’t I? Haven’t felt like this since I was in training.”

“Wait, what do you do?”

“Well, I used a part of an Army in the place where I’m from. Now I’m just an old mercenary. By the way, do you have any cigarettes around?”

“No, but I can get the closest thing to that… here.”

She handed me a rolled up leaf that looked a lot like a cigar.

“Thanks.” I said. I looked at the back of my hands to see spikes there, and struck them together near the thing which was now in my mouth. I lit it up, and breathed in. My aching back soon felt better.

“So, what’s your name?” She asked me.

“My name’s Solid Snake. Just call me Snake, though. And yours?” I asked.

“Yami. The leader told me it was japanese for the word Dark.”

“What’s your type?”

“Dark.”

“Well, your name seems very fitting.”

“Thanks!” She was blushing.

“You know, for a dark type like you, you’re nicer than I expected.” I said that with a bit of a smirk on my face. She blushed, giggled, and said, “Well, I’m always here to help.” Soon after, I stood up, breathing out a bit of green smoke. “What’s in this, anyway?”

This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.

“Heal powder. It removes any status conditions, and in some rare instances, prolonged pain.”

“Who made this?”

“Well, I did it for fun and occasionally sold them.”

“How do you know about cigars and all that?

“Well, I did mention befriending a human besides you.”

“And they told you?”

“Yeah. So I tried to make one, and it was a success with Heal Powder!”

“Well, you’re certainly doing a good thing here.”

“Helps if you’re poisoned!”

“And my foot pain’s gone, too. I just hope it doesn’t do anything too bad.”

“It won’t.”

I soon sighed and looked down. A large spike on my chest blocked the majority of my legs, but I still saw my feet. Paws for hands, with working fingers, and feet as well, and all I had was my bandana and the Codec receiver implanted into my ear. My sneaking suit was completely gone, and I was standing here with a cute girl.

“So… why am I here, anyway?”

“I’ll tell you.” A voice rang out. Feminine like Yami, yet different by voice. All of a sudden, a mouse/cat hybrid(Quilava) walked up.

“And what Pokemon are you?” I asked.

“I’m a Quilava.” She said. “Name’s Fang, I used to be human.”

“Well, now you’re talking to another.”

“Your voice sounds very familiar…”

“How?”

“Wait, don’t tell me… you’re actually him, right?”

“Who are you talking about? Because if you’re talking about me, then-”

“I knew it! You’re Solid Snake, right? Former CIA? And all that other stuff I don’t think I should mention?”

“Well, you found me out easier than a troop can spot me.”

“I knew it!”

She was smiling, and strangely enough, I was too. She was a fan as well as some other people I met, including the girl I met on Shadow Moses Island after taking out Revolver Ocelot. And when I met Mei Ling.

I sighed and said, “So, why am I here?” Fang smiled and responded, “Well, you see, there’s a problem between us and time itself.”

“I suppose this involves stealth?”

“Yeah. That’s why you were called.”

“Well then, fill me in.”
