“AAAAAAAAGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!” Theo shouted in agony and the energy in the surroundings grew even more chaotic, while on the other hand Kundrarra was surprised.
He wasn’t surprised at the pain the opposite party was experiencing, it would have been even more surprising if it felt no pain, what truly surprised him was the great amount of strength he had to use just to break through the barrier of the soul. This fact had him rethink the race of this creature.
He couldn’t even remember the last time he strained himself as much, there was a reason he was this epoch’s supreme after all.
Just as he put those thoughts at the back of his mind and prepared to take complete control, something inexplicable happened.
All the strange creature’s movements halted, the screaming stopped, but the surrounding energy went even more chaotic. No, chaotic wasn’t the right phrase, all the energy seemed to converge towards a single spot, the location of the energy-based creature.
As all of that was taking place, the solidified energy threads smoothly entered into the deeper parts of what Kundrarra until now thought was the creature’s soul. The only problem was that such movement wasn’t prompted by him, he completely lost control of his energy, powerlessly letting it flow into the core of the creature.
It didn’t stop there, however, as the solidified threads started forcefully pulling with them his other energies, quickly forming a giant rope-like vortex created from Kundrarra’s own energy.
Kundrara quickly panicked and tried to break the connection between him and the strange entity, but without a satisfactory result.
Any energy he brought forth to interrupt the process just got sucked in along with the rest, only increasing the strength of the vortex.
Kundrarra didn’t know what to do, he never anticipated such a situation. He didn’t believe that there was something in existence that was capable of stopping him, the only exception being the now destroyed barrier at the world’s center.
The suction continued and quickly started draining not just his energy but his celestial body itself, slowly disintegrating it, turning it into pure energy, and absorbing it into the creature that now seemed more akin to a black hole on steroids.
As his celestial body almost completely disappeared, living behind just his core of existence that housed his soul, Kundrarra almost went into shock, never in his life had he felt so weak, so powerless. Just the thought of the time it will take to recultivate his body brought his soul a migraine.
But it looked like karma wasn’t done with him yet. The vortex that feed of his celestial body losing its target now latched onto his soul, but instead of slowly transforming it into energy and absorbing it, it sucked it up with great force, not allowing Kundrarra to even attempt resistance.

At that moment Kundrarra calmed himself somewhat. Seeing no other way out, he grit his metaphorical teeth and proceeded with the only action that could potentially serve as his saving grace. While he was forced into making that decision, the way it was forced also made the whole process of what he was about to do a lot easier.
Just as he was about to collide with the source of the suction, he proceeded to shift his soul from a spherical form to something more akin to a piece of cloth and enveloped the strange being. Although to any other unknowledgeable individual, this would seem like an action that would only speed up his doom, but kundrarra believed that that was his best option. Although he couldn’t resist the force of the pull, at the same time, the vortex also didn’t dismantle or damage his soul in any way, unlike his celestial body.
What he was attempting right now was possession. While he wasn’t sure if it would work as this creature didn’t seem to follow any conventional ream of logic, it was his only option right now and the fact that it was inviting him so openly only increased Kundrarra’s confidence of success.
As the pull continued it slowly forced his hollow spherical form to contract in on itself, the only thing separating him from the previously penetrated barrier now being the thick white energy composing the creature’s body.
The whole process seemed to slow down and Kundrarra was caught in a dilemma. The pull didn’t stop, it only appeared to intensify, putting continuous pressure on his soul. On one side he was facing the pressure of the pull and resistance of the creature’s body and on the other the pressure of a massive amount of the strange energy slamming into him, trying to get to the creature. It was only normal now that he thought about it, as he directly blocked any possible route for the energy to reach its target, but the constant strain from being trapped between a rock and a hard place caused him pain that he hadn’t felt in ages.
With no other options, he immediately manipulated his soul to form many small holes through his whole body to let the energy through, which also allowed him to sink further into the creature’s body, towards the origin of the suction.
Preparing himself not just for the upcoming possession, but also mentally for any unforeseen surprises, he used the corresponding technique, causing the essences of his soul to flow in mesmerizing ways to achieve the wanted effect.
As he hit the core of the creature that produced the irresistible suction, he immediately activated the technique.
…
A fraction of a second passed, then a couple more fractions, and then a whole second. Nothing happened, the aggressive absorption of energy continued, the force still incapacitating Kundrarra. A technique that used the absolute superiority of one soul to completely consume another failed, even when the one who used it possessed the strongest soul in current existence, at least to his knowledge.
It couldn’t even be said that the effect was subpar since there was no effect at all. No matter how he used the technique, the creature’s soul showed no sense of even flinching.
Even in constant failures, Kundrarra held unto the last string of hope, yet with no result.
The flow of time, no matter how fragmented the energy caused it to be, continued.
The suction didn’t stop, the energy continued gathering at its center and Kundrarra continued to desperately channel the flow of his soul essence to try and attain any progress whatsoever.
Yet nothing changed, the suction only intensified with the passing of time and kundrarra’s helpless soul only stuck to its center like a piece of chewed up gum, using all of his power to hold himself together and resist the suction.
He only felt humiliation, helplessness, and despair, but there is no medicine for regret.
Minutes passed, then hours, and eventually days. The more time passed the stronger the suction became, and the stronger the suction, the faster the energy was absorbed. In a couple of days, the massive cluster of energy completely disappeared into the creature. But it didn’t stop there, as the size of the vortex increased, it started disintegrating anything it came across into the basic form of energy and absorbing it.
Nothing was spared, no asteroid, planet, or galaxy could resist it, even the barriers of chaotic time and space that separated dimensions crumbled like paper under its might, yet the only one capable of witnessing it was the incapacitated Kundrarra, who by that point became immune to shock.
Eventually, after innumerable realms disappeared from existence, not even the soul of a supreme being could resist the destructive force of the suction, slowly tearing apart and integrating with the creature’s core.
But as to prove his absolute superiority over the whole world, the soul of the dying supreme finally elicited a reaction from the mysterious creature’s core, something that nothing else up to this point did. It made it tremble for a bit, or rather, it just vibrated a little, but it was a reaction nonetheless.
Whether the dying Kundrarra caught this reaction or not remained unknown, but it did nothing to stop the suction, if anything it only increased the vortex's speed of growth.
