Everyone else seemingly ran off.
"Well, I can't blame them if they did, but did they run because of the pyro, or something else?". Stopping and looking around being able to see more. The light from the burning wrecks showed more than just the B17s burning, but thankfully not many. The hangers also appeared intact. There was also a light in the Air Control Tower. From far away there didn't look to be any movement. It was also blue which was odd.
Thinking through the options before him Jack would go for the tower. Reaching a jog as he did. Keeping a wary eye for anything off. He may or may not need the food, but if he took it all. He might be screwing someone else over. The Dark of the night being kept at bay by the burning planes, especially the one that had been just fueled foe a test flight, it was visually clear all the way to the Tower. Briefly pausing by the main maintenance hanger. the scattered tools, and burn marks explained what had happened. At least why no one else was around so far.
Taking a moment to pray that no one was killed, or at least seriously injured, jack would continue on past the large doors coming to another pause. As the next bit was in a wide open area. The path between the Hangers, and the tower were kept empty. Not for space reasons, but as the Museum Director put it. "She's old, and maintained as best possible. However, one day she's coming down.". It just sounded like paranoia to Jack. Having been in there before it appeared perfectly fine.
Looking around the space there was nothing visible in the area lit up by the blaze. Taking a few steps, and then going into a jog. Jack made it half way to the tower a good fifty yards (45 meters) away and then Jack hears a loud crash behind him. Stopping to look would insight terror into the bravest individual. There running through the flames and fuel was a pack of six Hounds, the fire seemingly doing nothing to them, or to slow them down, as they ran right for him.
At that moment as Jack took off running in a full sprint to the tower. *Ping*

Jack not really reading the notification took the only option he had. Which was to run for the tower door. Which was thankfully open. Though whether it could keep those things away was questionable he'd try. Having a head start helped however once he reached the door and looked back. He locked eyes with the leading Hound and with a yelp of fear slammed the door as it had gained and was not fifteen feet away.
Shortly after banging, snarling, and scratching causing the door to rattle, and shake. Even though it was metal. It was still then, and started to buckle. The hinge, and closing lock groaning with each hit. It wouldn't hold for long Looking around for anything to brace the door to keep it shut. He was really regretting not taking anything from the Main Maintenance hanger as he passed it.
Without the fire outside it was hard to see, but an old shelving unit. One made of thick iron, and wood shelves. It being empty was good, and being in a hurry after checking if it was bolted to the floor. Thankfully it wasn't. Using all his strength Jack managed to push it to door, and tipping it over so it would lean against the door and the feet catching at the base of the stairs. He'd have to hope it held.
After taking a moment to catch his breath Jack would then head up the stairs while checking the Notification he had received. The last part confusing him. As until then the system had never shown a bit of personality, but to wish him luck was new. Maybe he could get answers to many questions as this felt like some random encounter. One moment there was nothing then the next running his life.
Reaching the top of the stairs made the confusion increase, and yet be tempered by wonder. The top of the tower was not as it used to be. All the old equipment was gone. Replaced by a Single Futuristic table in the center with what appeared to be a Sky blue hologram Floating above it in the form of a shifting crystal.
As Jack studied the table and approached it lights would begin to coalesce into a smaller crystal drawing his attention, and with a heavily accented robotic voice, "Hello User Jack Goodspeed. I am System Sprite 833, or Bee. I am glade you made it. I have many things to explain to you.".
