Chapter 12:

Chapter 12:

“This is the situation.” Within the room of the principal’s office Xie Nu’s voice sang through the isolated air of the room despite the soft tone of his voice all within that space heard it clear as day.

Right now, within the fully lit room not from the led light no, but from the fully risen sun rays of the early light. Sitting around a table with a group fewer than a handful of people inside Yue Fei being one of the souls in the room, was listening to a briefing being held by Xie Nu his grandfather the principal participated as well. Mostly sitting in his chair like a throne letting his grandson do the talking.

“Around twelve midnight three days ago according to the second exportation team, they have made a major discovery about a one kilometer north of our position.” At Xie Nu’s words all head turned towards a singular direction in the room, a lone armored figure who stood by the window whose livery was now overlapped with a mixture of dirt and gore. The guy’s head was bare his hair was a mess, helmet held under his arm as he then walked closer to the edge of the table as he began to speak.

“Continuing off where the student council president left off when we the second exportation team made our departure last week we headed north-” The guy turned slightly as he points at the direction he spoke off. Yin Chen looked at the guy’s face he instantly knew he was of the other student body not of his own. His own school student body that is. He was one of the new additions to the campus a student of Wu Li One World Academy. Yin Chen then remembered at the moment that he had heard the second exportation team members were made up solely entirely out of their academy board members, he didn’t know why but the though suddenly just spurted in his mind.

“-To make the story shorter, we’ve found a potential oil field and maybe even other natural resources because there was also a potential mine there as well.”

He was lost in his though that he didn’t hear much of the information that was being said and only realized that it was already the end. The room original quiet atmosphere was now gone replaced with wonder and amazement; chatter arouse from every mouth in the room.

“Are you certain about this? Lou Feng?” Kim-sing who was also present in the meeting questioned the armored figure.

“Rest assured I am most certainly certain about this discovery; my team and I double checked no triple checked and confirmed this fact before I left.” Lou Feng answered back firmly. Chattered arose once again, different voices questioned drowning each other out.

“Then we should send another team out there we need those resources.” A female voice spoke out amidst the torrent of voices echoing off in the air. Yue Fei who alone kept his piece looked towards the speaker; he recognized the female to be Yang Guifei the student council president of the Saint Maiden Scholars Institute.

“We will but that will take time it’s not like we can wave a magic wand and make everything work here you know. Even if we get these resources how are we going to process them?” this time in response to Yang Guifei’s words was Zhang Lang, whom Yue Fei recognized to be the student council president of Wu Li One World Academy.

A youth like himself with light skin and is slightly below average height, with a lean and toned build.

“Bet you didn’t think about that did you?”

“Isn’t that supposed to be your guy’s job? I mean aren’t you guys a tech school, so figure it out.” That response from the girl pulled at Yue Fei, he originally didn’t want to get too involved with this meeting but, the girl’s attitude was beginning to deeply annoy him though his face showed no outward sign of it. Others within the room were not as discreet.

“Listen here princess I don’t know if you haven’t figured it out it but we don’t have the answers to everything here!” the one who answered was another male youth across the table. Qiao Feng is his name as Yue Fei turned his head his way. He was the student council president Eagle Mountain College. Like any other male youth here he was slim but seeming well built and toned, that rising feature that Yue Fei has notice beginning to appear more as the days goes by.

“All I hear are just excuses.” Yang Guifei snorted crossing her arms under her chest.

“Excuses you say huh~, well if you think we’re doing such a terrible job of keeping you alive why don’t you step up to the plate then!? Cause your lot sure have been very helpful as of late.” At this retort from Yang Guifei, Qiao Feng actually rose from his seat along with Zhang Lang. The two glared at the woman across the table, if looks could kill she would be dead a dozen times over. Such was the intensely of their gaze but if she was even fazed by it, she gave no sign of it.

“Everyone peace, we’re all on the same side here. Yang Guifei please you’re not making the situation any better.” A bell-like voice full of concern echoed out.

The author's tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

“It’s not me that’s the problem but these useless men.”

“You’ve really-” at this retort both Qiao Feng shifted from his seat as if ready to pounce but was held by the other male youths in the room. One of which was Yue Fei, who in all honestly wished to straggle the girl. However, he forced back the thoughts as his sight turned to her two companions.

Beside Yang Guifei at each side, sat the other representatives of Saint Maiden Scholars Institute. The one on the left, the one who spoke Yue Fei knew or rather there wasn’t a single soul back home in the country who didn’t know her. Mo Qingcheng the eldest child of the one of richest families back on earth the Mo family. She wore her school uniform dress, pristine and well kept being the graceful lady that she is. Her beauty was stunning even in that ‘plain’ school uniform. her clear eyes which seemed to flow like water as the world seemed to lose color before her beauty. With eyebrows like jade feathers and flesh as white as snow her waist was gorgeously narrow and small

Even the clear white teardrop earrings she had on that sparked in the room’s sunlight shining in from the outside helped bring out that beauty.

“You’re too soft on these boys Qing’er clearly they’re just useless.” Another female voice cut through the air. This one was just as condescending as Yang Guifei’s tone. This only caused the boys in the room to become more heated as Yue Fei and the other struggled to hold back the other half on their number in the room. All the while. Xie Nu and his grandfather looked on without a slight care in their expressions, as if they couldn’t be bother to intervene.

“You bitches really think that we won’t hurt you do you?” Zhang Lang retorted still being held back by Yue Fei, Yue Yang and Kim-sing. The girl in question whom Yue Fei learned later was Su Mucheng. She was dressed in the same school uniform as her school mates. Her dark brown hair clearly a dyed color as the top of her scalp the natural familiar color of black was showing. Flowing down below her waist, tied at the tips to form a dolphin-tail split.

“Cheng’er please stop it, you’re not helping the situation.” Once again, the voice of reason, Mo Qingcheng spoke out to her companion. To which Su Mucheng snorted and faced away from the raging men in front while slightly smirking.

“Oh, what are they going to do?” she then simply snorts again as if amused at the notion.

‘You wouldn’t like to know the answer to that question if we do go over there you dumb bitch.’ At this moment truthfully Yue Fei was tempted to let Zhang Lang go and have him rip at the three wrenches in front of him. Well maybe not Mo Qingcheng she seems to be the more reasonable…. for now, at least.

‘This is getting us nowhere.’ He had to get the conversation back on track, so Yue Fei spoke up. “Alright-alright, we can get another team ready to move out by noon the earliest, but the problem still remains. Even if we can confirm again the resources that the second exportation team claimed to have found, the major issue still is we don’t know the means to utilize it.”

Lou Feng’s voice then came over the air calmly. All heads turned to him amidst all the commotions and chaos that almost erupted, everyone nearly forgot about him. “That won’t be an issue along with the site we have found a working factory, well at least I believe it is working.” Lou Feng casually shrugged before continuing. “From what we’ve have gathered about that factory it appears to be mining equipment. That should at least lessen the load of work for us once we figure out how to get the machinery to work that is.”

“How……how unbelievably convenient.” Yue Yang had a look about disbelief at this revelation. However, it wasn’t just Yue Yang who held these sentiments in the room.

“I agree but given the situation we’re all in I’ve long just stopped question things like that just for the sack of my sanity.”

“Fair point.” Yue Fei taking the option didn’t even question the sheer absurdity of the situation. In truth he really couldn’t make heads or tails of his surroundings anymore. No one can really.

“Then I will get the gang together and get them up to speed I’ll meet you at the gate before noon that ok Yue Fei.” Yue Yang faced him as he said his piece Yue Fei didn’t say anything other else other than to nod his head as he, Kim-sing along with Mengya, who was also in the room left the room. Not too long after seeing as how there was no further need for himself to be there Yue Fei also choose to leave at this time.

“Right, I better go start making preparation to leave. Lou Feng, I’ll meet you with me team at the gates, ok?” Yue Fei didn’t even wait for a response as he walked through the door of the office. “Ok guess I’ll have to go back to my room and pack my shit.”

He then turned and walked down the hall of the building to his destination, hearing his footsteps echoing off the walls around him. He didn’t walk far as he turned the corner and there stood Yang Yuhuan dressed in their school uniform of Su Tech University. Still strapped to her waist hung his Song Dao blade that he had given her. One palm held on the hilt of the handle pf the blade. ‘Always so ready now maybe I should do that too more as well’ making a little note to himself Yue Fei then greet his companion.

“Hey Yang Yuhuan fancy meeting you here.” Yue Fei gave a slight simile.

“I heard about the expedition from Yue Yang and the others, when do we leave?” Yang Yuhuan cared little for the pleasantries and went to her point. At this Yue Fei dropped his simile and gave out a sigh. “Straight to the point, is it? Well, we’ll be getting ready to move out at noon.”

Before he even finished his sentence, the moment she heard what she needed to hear she already turned to walk back down the hallway. “Aright I’ll go get ready meet you at the gate.”

“No, you will be saying behind this time.” This caused Yang Yuhuan to cease in her steps. She spun around faster than Yue Fei even had the time to blink. “What?” she demanded as she approached him her eyes furious for answers. However, Yue Fei wasn’t fazed he already expected this response from her, he meet her gaze head on.

“Why not?” she questioned him her voice grew sterner as she spat out her words. “You made me a promise remember?”

“I did.” Yue Fei responded in a nonchalant manner as if not taking her seriously. “And so far, I have not broken that promise now did I? I do my part and you do yours. I hope you haven’t forgotten your part of the deal, so what did you find as of late?”

This ceased Yang Yuhuan’s stern demeanor as her expression loosened before she gave out a tired sign. “Ha~, nothing much unfortunately everyone’s been keeping their mouths shut.” Her eyes meet with Yue Fei’s before she continued. “The grownups also seem to be up to something too, the only one who seems to be ok is mainly Fu Shu LaoShi. Even the faculty staff of Saint Maiden Scholars Institute are acting a bit funny. Though it seems more like their doing their own thing than working with the others.”

“See I need you here.” Yue Fei said calmly but clearly getting his message across. “I need somebody to keep track of things going on back here while we’re away. Whose else better than you?”

“Yeah, sure whatever, another thing you were right about those ‘Two’.” Yang Yuhuan’s stern demeanor returned as she said the last word. Yue Fei’s calm expression too vanished at this as well. “They are most likely the ones behind all the weirdness that’s been going on from the shadows. Also, they might begin targeting people that might include you so be careful not to draw too much attention to yourself.”

“Thanks for the heads up I’ll be sure to keep that in mind, well I should probably get back to my room and pack see you when I get back.” Yue Fei said his piece before to proceeding walk past Yang Yuhuan.

“Hey.” Yang Yuhuan called out behind him as he ceased his steps turning his head slightly back to face her. “Look after yourself out there don’t get careless because I’m not there to keep your ass alive. You made me a promise remember that.”

“I don’t intend too you watch yourself ok.” Then Yue Fei continued on his walk down the hall leaving behind the pair of eyes watching him as he went on.
