CHAPTER 466
Chapter 466 Could They Hurt Me?
Simon went to work early in the morning. He had a full schedule with several important meetings. Silvia was not as
busy as him. She planned to focus on the wedding and prepare whatever they needed.
A wedding ceremony was not that important to Silvia. But since they decided to hold a ceremony, Silvia wanted it
to be perfect.
Simon was quite busy. Thus, Silvia was ready to handle the whole process.
Wedding dresses, banquets, and household supplies were not big problems. Silvia had trouble with the
invitations.
Enter title…
Simon had neither brought her to visit his family nor go to the Palmer’s house. It seemed that Simon didn’t want to
do that.
Therefore, who they should invite was a big problem.
Silvia had no work to do. And she didn’t even receive any unwanted calls. She had too much free time. It seemed
she became sick in her idle moments.
She didn’t get up until noon. And she almost fell to the ground when getting out of bed due to her dizziness and
blurred vision.
She forced herself to wash up and then wanted to eat something downstairs. But her strength was gone and she
had no appetite.
She found a thermometer and took her temperature. It was 102 degrees. She had a fever!
What the hell!
Silvia always had a good physique. She rarely had a fever. And it was rare for her to have a cold or cough. She
didn’t expect that she could have a fever in her idle moments.
Silvia poured herself a cup of water and drank it. And then she went back to her bed and covered herself with a
quilt. She wanted to have a nap. However, there was a knock on the door.
“Mrs. Palmer, are you awake?” It was the maid’s voice, careful but insistent.
“What’s the matter?” Silvia asked lazily with a frown.
Silvia had told them not to disturb her unless there was something important.
Therefore, no one knocked on the door even if Silvia missed her lunch. Thus, owns this text.
there must be something important happening.
“Someone outside wants to see you.” After a pause, the maid raised her voice
and said, “She said that she’s Mr. Palmer’s grandmother.”
Then the maid added, “And that lady who claimed to be Mr. Palmer’s auntie
yesterday is also here.”
Silvis was speechless.
Silvia silently rolled her eyes and looked at the ceiling helplessly.
It seemed that Silvia didn’t need to worry about the problem of whether to invite
Simon’s family or not. His family just came to her. Simon’s auntie came
yesterday and now it was his grandmother. If Silvia continued to shun them,
Simon’s whole family might be here tomorrow.
“Mrs. Palmer, do I still tell them you are not feeling well?”
The maids felt quite strange because Simon didn’t allow his close relatives into
his house. But as maids, they just did whatever the masters asked them to do.
“No.” Silvia struggled to get up and opened the door. The maid was shocked by
Silvia.
She asked, “Mrs. Palmer, why is your face so red?”
“I have a fever. Give me some anti-fever medicine.”
Silvia needed to have a rest so that she could have a clear mind to figure out
what to do.
Silvia called Simon yesterday and Simon asked her to send Litzy away. But
Simon rushed back home soon.
Simon was obviously worried. After he met Litzy at the door, his mental state
was also not good. It took him a while to recover. This meeting must have had a
great impact on Simon.
He was so busy today and had three meetings early in the morning. Would it
make him feel uneasy and put down everything to rush back if Silvia called him
again?
Silvia was a little impatient to deal with the complicated relationship. But things
like this were unavoidable after being together with Simon. There would even be
more situations like this in the future. Would Silvia come to Simon for help every
time?
Simon doted on Silvia and tried his best to protect her. Because of this, Silvia
had to face up with those problems and deal with them on her own so that she
could not drag him down and let him worry about her.
After taking the medicine and drinking a glass of water, she felt better and
her strength came back.
“Mrs. Palmer, are you feeling better? How about going to the hospital?” The
maid asked worriedly.
Silvia shook her head and said, “Is there anything to eat?”
“I made pumpkin porridge and it is still warm. Would you like some?”
“Get me a bowl of porridge and put it on the table. I’ll go downstairs in a minute.
After this, let them in,” Silvia said.
“Okay, Mrs. Palmer.” The maid went to do it.
Silvia raised herself on her hands. Her legs were still limp. And her face looked
pale in the mirror. Therefore, she put on light makeup to make her look better.
Since they are here, I’ll be a good host and treat them well. Could they hurt me?
If they want to make a scene, I’ll just shoot them away!
Outside the door, Litzy was fanning herself and that old lady.
It was noon. The sun was burning. They both couldn’t stand being exposed to the sun.
Miley furrowed her brows impatiently.
“Mom, this was how I was rejected yesterday. That’s good for they didn’t shut the door on us directly. But it took
the maid such a long time to inform her masters. This is our family affair. The joke will be on us if others know this,”
Litzy said while fanning herself.
“How could a grandson shut the door on his grandma? Simon used to have good manners. After being together
with Silvia, he just forgets his manners!” Litzy complained with a snort.
Litzy’s disaffection broke out. Miley was becoming livid while hearing Litzy’s words.
Miley said, “Have you said enough? Isn’t it hot?”
Miley was upset. Litzy’s noisy voice disturbed her more.
Miley didn’t like Silvia, her granddaughter-in-law, though they hadn’t met officially. What a tease Silvia is! Does she
think she could take Simon away from me? I know what’s on her mind!
The aim of those women who kept pestering Simon was the wealth of the Palmer family.
Miley thought that Simon couldn’t take those sluts seriously. However, Simon got married, which was out of
Miley’s expectations.
But this was what Simon could do. Simon was such a disobedient man and he always wanted to go against Miley.
Simon took after his mother. Miley breathed a sigh of relief when Simon’s mother died.
Now, it was Simon who troubled Miley.
Miley wondered what kind of woman Silvia was since Silvia could take Simon.
Just as Miley was thinking, the door made a sound and it opened.
“Ladies, please come in,” the maid said
