Daniel Perspective
Antonio and I brainstormed for ideas to try to contact any military personal but, we both scrapped the idea and we instead chose to gather supplies, clear out the infected from the main building, and then try to look for more help.
Antonio do you have any bags to carry supplies. (Daniel)
Yes I have my backpack. (Antonio)
Good we need it to gather more supplies per trip. (Daniel)
He nodded in response.
Do you have a gun and your knife? (Daniel)
No sir I panicked and dropped my gun while fighting infected but, I have my knife on me. (Antonio)
He looks at me with eyes full of resignation.
Here then but, only use it in a very dire situation because, sound attracts the infected. (Daniel)
I give my gun which is the one with a full clip (An. 15 bullets).
Do you know anything about the infected? (Daniel)
Not much except they are hard to kill and relentless. (Antonio)
Ok do you have your tiny notebook that you almost always carry with you? (Daniel)
Yes why do you need it? (Antonio)
I am going to need it and a pen. (Daniel)
He gives me a brand new notebook and pen but, he looked distraught when he handed it over.
Do not worry think of this of an observation notebook of the enemy. (Daniel)
Sir like when you track your enemy and find out their movement patterns? (Antonio)
Exactly now this is the information I have gathered on the infected. They have pale skin with black liquid which I assume is blood seeping out of orifices on their body or wounds. They are relentless but, not very bright from what I observed they are also, attracted to sound. They are also fell no pain when I fought one I stabbed him in the arm I then, pinned him and stabbed him in the heart he kept moving until I crushed his head thoroughly. Which means we need to thoroughly destroy the infected brain to kill them. (Daniel)
This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
Antonio was shocked by this new information.
You gathered that when exactly sir? (Antonio)
When we were fighting them together and when I fought several in close combat and can you please call me Daniel because, rank does not matter now surviving does. (Daniel)
Ok I understand si- Daniel. (Antonio)
We need to make a tiny base of operations, set up some traps, and see how many days of canned food we have here because, we need to ration are food to make it last longer. (Daniel)
2 Hour Later
For the next hour we made sure that our fort was as safe as we can make it with our limited supplies. We had five line of defenses the first line of defense was the barricaded entrance of the cafeteria, the second was already empty tin can attached to a shoe lace that we scavenged of the chefs this made the cans clang together just in case we are both sleeping there were three of these traps in random intervals across the cafeteria. The third line was another barricade but this tip with the heavy preparation table. The fourth is more like the second one which warns us this time this uses a glow sticks had in his pack a few mouse traps we found and more shoe laces, the trap is also a simple someone pulls gives a tug to the shoe lace activating the mouse trap which cracks the glow stick making a light. The last defense we have is the freezer which has a heavy metal door.
Ok Antonio lets head to sleep inside the freezer that I made room slightly higher than room temperature. (Daniel)
*Yawn* Sure I also tired (Antonio)
Tomorrow I am going to talk to Antonio to convince him to stay here so I can go out by myself to search for anything useful I can snatch without putting myself into too much in harm’s way.
