Harry led the way through the rest of the corridor and down to the end of the Academy where the massive white stone building, which looked similar to a castle with it's spires and many floors, ended and the gate leading to the village started.
Though there was a gate hiding the villagers and houses, everyone was allowed to leave and go as they please.
As they stopped at the door for Harry to open it, he felt her getting close behind him. The hair on his neck stood up. His hands hurried on the latch and he swung the door away, revealing the quaint place within.
Now it won't seem so weird... Harry thought as he stepped to side, giving the girl plenty of room. There were still plenty of people roaming the vendors and sellers lining the street ahead of them. So keeping his distance while squeezing through wouldn't be an odd way to keep a few steps away from her.
But then again, the crowd was still big enough for her to get lost in. Which defeats the purpose of me showing her around...
"Th-This is big..."
The girl stepped closer to Harry while he scanned the crowd. He didn't realize she reached for his shirt tail until it was too late.
A jolt of electricity surged through Harry. He doubled over, feeling like his insides were torn out of him.
Crap this is just what I need!
He could still make out the blurry and darkened figures of the Shapeshifters walking around. None of them noticed thank goodness.
Please don't start crying---!
The longer she held onto him, the longer his feeling of utter emptiness and despair grew. His face started getting hot, and he slammed his eyes shut.
Don't start crying.
Keeping his eyes closed his arm fumbled to find the girl's hand. She'd moved away from the back, probably to check on him.
Don't start!
He gasped for air, trying to fight back a fit of panic not of his own will.
Don't start! Don't start!
He kept searching for her hand.
Where is she?!

Tears formed at the edges of his closed eyes, threatening to slide down his face at any moment. Please, let me find you---!
At this rate he was just going to start bawling his eyes out right here for all these strangers to see.
Please... Please... Please...
Where was she?!
"Please stay awake! Please. Please. Please!"
There was a sudden whooshing sound. As if everything around him was sucked away. His body was suddenly still, and though his body felt empty, the feeling of despair dwindled.
"Please, stay with me!"
A voice that rang out a moment before yelled again.
Hayato...?
Harry hesitated to open his eyes. That voice had to be him. It was most definitely his.
Hayato, your back?!
Harry's eyes flew open.
"...!" He found himself surrounded in darkness. Save for the glowing figure right in front of him, casting an eerie light.
There he stood. His appearance of jet black hair over his sharp red eyes the same as the last time Harry saw him.
"Ha-Hayato?!"
Harry started forward, his voice ringing around him.
It's him... It really is him! I... I can hug him again. I can make sure he's safe. I can---
But a sharp pull from behind made him stop.
He spun around, seeing the girl clutching his back leg.
N-No. No, please don't let her be here too. That... That can only mean... N-No!
She stared at the boy, her hands shaking. "G-Go away..."
Tears fell down the boy's face. "Please... Please..."
Harry stood in shock, looking between the two. Realizing just what was happening.
"Please..." The boy stumbled forward, his body melting around him. "Please..."
"G-Go away..."
Harry watched in horror as he watched his beloved friend's face slide and morph into something of nightmares.
Make it stop...
He wanted to run away. Wanted to even look away. But he couldn't. Like he was frozen in time.
Make it stop. Make. It. Stop!
"Please, come back..." The distorted monster kept coming. "Come... Back..."
"Go AWAY."
The girl released Harry, covering her ears and closing her eyes.
And just like that, it was all over.
Harry flew back as everything came crashing back. Through blurry eyes he saw the village slowly return. And through ringing ears he heard the late night hustle and bustle.
They knew nothing of what happened.
It was just a normal night for them.
They knew nothing of the horrors that just transpired.
"H-Hayato..." Harry's voice was merely a whisper as he waited for all of his senses to come back. His whole head felt like it'd been impaled by a mallet as he gritted his teeth.
His last images of his friend had been sad, but bittersweet memories. Now, he had to have that... That... Monstrosity stuck in his head.
Sorrow. Anger. Confusion.
All of this ran through his veins, causing his heart to constrict into a tight ball.
"S-Sorry..."
Gasping, Harry's head sprang up. That's when he realized he was sitting against the gate.
Looking up at the girl devoid of emotion. As she tried to force a look of something like sorrow as she started placing a hand on his shoulder.
No! No! No!
He couldn't see that again. He couldn't feel that again. He couldn't. He just couldn't.
All of because of her.
The girl stood in the street, her hand outstretched, as she watched Harry run away from the village.
Away from the noise. Away from the people. Away from everything.
And away from her..
The next Chapter will be kind of explaining stuff in a little bit more detail. So stick around!
