Two
Knowing the what gave me a starting point, even if I still didn't know how I got here. And I definitely didn't want to think about the life being over bit. For the first time, I really looked around and took stock of my situation.
If I was actually in one of the survival games I enjoyed playing, I needed to work on gathering materials. Luckily, among the towering trees were plenty of large branches and hand size rocks. Even noobs knew you needed to make an axe or pickaxe to start advancing. This was gonna be easy!
And it was! Or would have been if I was playing with a keyboard and mouse like normal. Did you know that picking up large pieces of rough-barked sticks while naked is not fun? Naked also meant I didn't have an inventory of any kind, at least that I could find. Shouting out "inventory", "pockets", and everything else I could think of probably made me look like a psycho to anything around me, if there was anything out there.
I started by dragging all the sticks and small logs together. It took awhile, since appearing in a weird forest didn't seem to magically give me more muscles or put me in better shape. Huffing and puffing, I had what I considered a good selection of wood in order from smallest to I-can-barely-move-this. I tried moving some of them together and even whacking a couple together: nothing happened. Maybe there weren't wood tools?
Sighing dramatically to myself, I ate a big handful of toko berries. I didn't know what would happen if my little status icons got too low and was loath to find out. I just hoped I'd find more of these berries or a stream once I left the clearing.
Slightly refreshed, I began picking up the few hand sized rocks I could find and placing them near the wood. I really didn't wanna have to move the bigger ones. Holding a few of them, I passed them over some of the sticks until a small blue shape appeared. I held my breath, and pushed them together until a bright light flashed. Yes!

Stone "Knife"
Damage: 1
Durability: 3/3
If you squint real hard, this kinda looks like a knife.
Laying where a stick used to be was a tiny knife. The blade, if you could call it that, was a kinda sharp chunk of rock wedged into a weak handle of wood split down the middle. I was kind of let down to say the least. I had a notification.
Your weapon crafting skill is now 1.
Oh boy, I'm on my way to building an empire. I tried not to roll my eyes as I picked up the knife. Looking at the way the stone was basically embedded in the wood, I realised what I needed. The stone needed to be tied to a haft to create what I needed, so obviously I had to get together some cordage.
Luckily for me, whatever the non-pine trees were called had some thin vines climbing up their trunk. I cut the vines along the ground and it took quite a few swipes with the little blade. Then I reached as high as I could and started cutting. Just as the vine was almost sawn through, the little blade disintegrated in my hand. Just poofed into little blue motes of life. Guess that's how long 3 durability lasts. Shrugging, I jumped up and grabbed the vine, hearing it snap as I fell to the ground. Now I was ready.
Wrapping the vine around my arm and wiping dirt off my -2hp butt, I walked over and tossed the coil of rope on top of my other materials. I grinned as several blue shapes showed up, including my crappy little knife. Looking over them, I noticed that the different materials seem to glow as well. Which meant I'd choose the first one to highlight all three materials. Another bright light, another creation.
Stone Hatchet
Damage: 5
Durability: 25/25
Finally, a hatchet. Time to get chopping.
I grinned, and gripped the hatchet tight. Now it was time to get ahead.
