Part 65 Liu Shun

Li Ze stepped out of the stone chamber.

The Iron Guards waiting outside approached him, their faces showing some surprise. In their perception, Li Ze was different from before. His aura was more imposing and oppressive, even causing them some apprehension.

What had happened to Li Ze inside?

As the eight Iron Guards exchanged uncertain glances, Li Ze said淡淡道:“Let’s go.”

He thought to himself,

It’s time to deal with Liu Shun!

The next morning, at dawn.

“Boom~”

Amid the roaring sound, the K1789 train rolled down the tracks.

In the last compartment of the train, sat a young man dressed in ragged clothes, looking like a migrant worker.

He appeared to be around twenty years old, with a scruffy appearance and unkempt hair that hadn’t been washed in ages. His demeanor was careless and disheveled.

Due to his appearance and the unpleasant odor, everyone avoided him, and no one was willing to sit next to him.

“Yawn~”

Liu Shun yawned and was feeling somewhat drowsy.

After some time, he slowly awoke, his eyes widening in shock. The compartment he was in was now completely empty!

What’s going on?

Liu Shun jumped up from his seat. Although he wasn’t very bright, he wasn’t completely foolish either.

The situation was clearly off!

“Crash... Snap!”

A loud noise erupted, accompanied by a painful cracking sound. The last compartment had detached from the rest of the train!

Caught off guard by the sudden inertia, Liu Shun nearly fell to the ground.

The last compartment, now without the leading train’s momentum, gradually came to a stop, hovering precariously between two cliffs.

This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.

Suspended in mid-air.

No way up, no way down.

Liu Shun's eyelids twitched uncontrollably. At this moment, even a fool would sense that something was wrong!

“Clack, clack, clack.”

Footsteps could be heard from the top of the compartment, leisurely and as if someone was taking a stroll.

Footsteps?

Liu Shun looked up in astonishment.

Just as he was puzzled, the next second—

“Boom!”

A deafening noise erupted.

The compartment above him shattered, and a figure descended from the sky, accompanied by a fierce gleam of cold light!

Instinctively, Liu Shun raised his arm to block, but was thrown violently backward, crashing through several seats in succession.

Amidst his pained screams, he fell heavily to the ground.

Li Ze slowly rotated his elbow, holding a short knife that gleamed with a cold light.

In close-range confrontations of this level, cold weapons are far more effective than firearms.

Of course, at long distances and with overwhelming numbers, unless you can endure bullets, you'll be turned into a sieve before you can even draw your knife.

Liu Shun sprang up from the floor.

The deep wound on his arm immediately stopped bleeding and began to visibly heal at an astonishing rate!

Li Ze’s eyes narrowed.

As expected from the show, he's a monster... Can a human even heal this fast?

Liu Shun's face contorted in fury as he roared, “Who are you?”

“Li Ze.”

Li Ze said淡淡地:“Does this name sound familiar?”

Liu Shun’s pupils constricted, then he sneered, “So you’re Li Ze? Perfect, saves me the trouble of looking for you. I’ll just kill you right here!”

For Liu Shun’s simple-minded brain, there was no need to think too much.

Since Ye Tian had ordered him to kill Li Ze, and Li Ze was now right in front of him, his only task was to eliminate the opponent!

“Roar!”

Liu Shun roared in fury.

He charged forward like a wild beast.

Li Ze didn’t evade. Instead, he sidestepped and charged as well. The two collided like two cars revved to their maximum power, crashing into each other!

“Boom!”

With a deafening sound, Liu Shun remained unmoved, while Li Ze was hurled backward, crashing violently into the end of the carriage.

“Hahaha.”

Liu Shun laughed maniacally, confident in his own strength. In his view, he was invincible!

“You fool, you actually tried to go head-to-head with me? You’re still alive after a full-force collision? You’re indeed the strongest person I’ve ever seen, but unfortunately, you’re up against me!”

Liu Shun looked smug.

“In front of me, you’re nothing more than an ant that I can crush at will!”

“Cough, cough.”

Li Ze coughed lightly, straightened his body slowly, and grinned, “Sorry, that was just a test, but now I’m clear...”

“You’re actually very weak, even weaker than I imagined!”

Weak?

Liu Shun’s expression froze, then his anger flared.

Weak?

“Boom!”

Liu Shun stomped and leaped into the air, his fists aimed at Li Ze.

But in mid-air, he suddenly froze.

Where did he go?

In his line of sight, Li Ze had vanished in an instant.

Stunned, he landed back down, unable to believe what he was seeing. As he looked around in confusion, he saw that familiar smiling face.

Clear and cold.

Li Ze was still standing there, scrutinizing him: “Hey, where are you looking?”

Then, with a simple clenched fist, Li Ze swung a punch!

It landed squarely on Liu Shun’s astonished face, breaking his nose and sending his body flying out.
