Ashley Meridi, was running. She was scared. She was running as fast as she could. She needed to get there, then she'll be safe. She crossed the road, went through the large garden, crossed another road, and finally ran into the large building. It was labeled 'Vorda University'.
A school for only the genius' and prodigys. The number 1 school that not anyone can get into. All the staff could be considered some of the most important people in the country, even the cleaning staff were important. Most of them helped create the chemicals they were using. It was even said that it was harder to enter as a teacher than a student. And to get in as a student you would have to get top marks on your PSAT test, get nearly all A's in high school, and achieve something that would get noticed by the higher-ups. Easy, at least it was to Ashley. Everyone of her peers and teachers alike would spit blood if they heard her say that.
Anyways, she missed her alarm and was paying the consequences. She wasn't running from anything. She was simply running to her classes to prevent herself from being late. She had to keep her 'goody two-shoes' facade. She was labeled as 'perfect'.
'Fudge! I'm going to be late!' She was passing through the hall close to her first class, 'Physics 101', when she bumped into someone. She looked up, and there he was. ' Are you kidding me!?' Alec Brandiger, the bully of this school and his 2 lackeys.
For a short summary, Alec Brandiger is a complete and utter jerk. His lackeys are no different. The only reason that he's the leader is because he is the son of the 3rd richest person in the world. His father is the creator and present CEO of 'Destiny incarnate'. An incredibly famous game that earned the title 'Game of the Century'. Ashley played it all the time. She loved it. It was her favorite game and she was the number 1 player. Ironic, right?
"Well, well. Look at what we have here. Little miss genius is late to class." The worst thing about Alec was that he was that stereotypical, snobby, rich kid. He would pick on anyone with less money and power than him.
"Heheh, what do you think we should do this time Alec?" Lackey number 1. Brent Verma, another snobby rich kid, except that he definitely deserves to go to this school. He excels in engineering and robotics. He got into this school by creating the first prototype for a near perfect computer that could become sentient in a few years with the proper information. It's sad that he became a minion for Alec. He could've done much better without him. He might've gotten himself a girlfriend, even with those average looks.

"How about we steal her homework! Her reputation would go down by a lot!" And the 2nd lackey. The son of a famous lawyer, Rei Murton, a Jack-of-all-trades type. Among everyone in school, he's average in everything, among everyone else, he's a genius. He got into this school by 'solving' a murder case. He didn't solve it, he framed it. Ashley knows this only because she got interested in him. She reviewed the evidence and found that the 'murderer' was completely innocent. She didn't reveal it though, she doesn't want any grudges from his father.
"Hmm, I like the homework idea. Well, guess I'll just take those papers off y-" Then the Physics teacher came walking by. "Mr. Brandiger, Murton, Verma, and Ms. Meridi, what are you doing standing around? Are you trying to be tardy?" The 3 bully's look behind them in surprise. Before they can say anything Ashley speaks up, "Sorry Mrs. Tera, I tripped and they were just helping me up." The teacher looks at Ashley with suspicion. "Fine, then get into class." And so they did.
The bell rang and Ashley rushed out before the others even got the chance to leave. She had about 45 minutes before her next class, anatomy.
Now, the reason that Ashley got into the school wasn't because she applied to be a student. The principal wanted her to be a student. This was quite incredible because the principal never sent out letters personally to ask for a student.
Ashley Meridi's achievements include the discovery of, what she calls 'mitochrome'. A man-made material that is able to withstand temperatures of -543 degrees Fahrenheit and is very light. It became the new material for space suits. She created it for her chemistry homework when she was 11. She also became the first independent child millionaire. At 15, she was well versed in physics and anatomy, so she decided to use her knowledge to do something. She found the first cure for muscle depletion and officially became a billionaire. And at 16 , she became the youngest to ever be accepted into Vorda University.
Ashley was running through the halls. She ran to her room, put the key inside, and entered. There inside was her newest creation. There were many glass vials filled with strange liquids. She was lucky she didn't have a dorm mate. The glass vials were filled with poisons. Very dangerous poisons. She mixed them together with a hobby and recently found a new type of poison. She doesn't have a name for it yet, but she can worry about that later. Right now, she was going to test this new concoction on a rat she found in the janitors closet. She walked over to the cage and replaced the water with the liquid. She heard a door open. 'Huh? I don't remember giving someone my key.' She turned around and saw a woman. "Uhh, who are you?" The woman walked toward her then brought out a knife. "You don't deserve your money or your fame!" Ashley didn't react fast enough and was stabbed in her chest. Her last thought was 'I wonder what happened to the rat.' She closed her eyes.
