“Hey,” The words came floating towards him softly and from behind, He shivered.
“I’m Hunter,” The voice said again,
“I’m Howler,” He replied, fear in his voice,
“No need to be scared,” Hunter said “I was caught as-well.”
“Really?” Howler said, turning around. He had expected to see an adult, male, wolf, but what he saw surprised him. It was a young lioness with beautiful yellow fur, Howler jumped back in surprise and fear,
“What?” She replied, staring at him wide eyed,
“You’re a lion?!” He gasped, he was staring to go wide eyed as-well,
“Yeh, so?”
“Your name is Hunter.”

“I know, in a lion pack. The animals where the females hunt,” Howler found this a little strange,
“Girls, hunting?” He said, bursting into laughter,
“You find it funny do you,” She pranced up onto the bars, her mouth wide open. Howler fell back alarmed! “Not so funny now is it.”
“No,” Fear had come back into his voice. Hunter, realizing she had upset him she tried to calm him “Sorry, I just don’t like being humiliated.”
“Sorry” Howler replied “It’s just a bit strange.”
“Friends?”
“Friends,” They nodded. A moment later the ground suddenly stopped moving, sending Howler and Hunter flying in different directions.
“What just happened?” Howler said surprised,
“We landed” Hunter said,
“Where?”
“In Africa,” Howler did not know where ’Africa’ was, but he answered anyway,
“How do you know?”
“I can understand,” She looked at him and whispered “ou’man.”
“Ou’man?” Howler asked her,
“It’s the animal’s way of communicating.”
