:Reincarnated As A Side Villain

Chapter 0001:

The one thing competing with time is death.

Those who have been caught never had the slightest idea when it caught up to them. For him, it was always a matter of trying to outrun death.

"Don't let him escape!" one of the three gangsters chasing him yelled.

He could sense their thoughts: kill him and get the bounty on his head. But it wasn't as easy as it seemed.

Some truckmen were offloading goods beside a warehouse; they didn't notice him until his footsteps grew louder, disturbing their mundane business.

They would have grabbed hold of him; however, he maneuvered by stepping on the truck's glass and leaping above them.

'I can't shake them off,' he thought inwardly.

The mobs relentlessly chasing him somehow leaped over the trucks once blocking them. He wasn't surprised though because he was no ordinary thief.

It was normal to have these gangsters chasing him like a runaway groom.

But for some unknown reason, they abruptly slowed down chasing him. A smirk appeared on his lips, thinking fatigue had caught up to them.

'Bitches.'

Wait, there were three of them at first; now there were only two behind him.

Swish.

Goodness, he was this close to losing his life. One of them had cornered his movement and sliced through the air with a knife.

He only managed to dodge that by sliding on his knees, just a hairsbreadth from the assailant's dagger.

And it was after he managed to escape that fate that they began chasing him again. But this time.

Kweuk.

He coughed out blood when the dagger stabbed through his chest, a little to the left and it would have been called end of the road.

The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

He couldn't remove the dagger, so he kept running with a trail of blood, the package must be delivered.

And those relentless pursuers wouldn't quit.

'I just need to cross over the street; I'll lose them for sure,' he thought.

As he staggered, forcing himself to run while gritting his teeth.

"Fuck, don't let him escape."

Fuck them back, now, he was home, where his own gang belonged. He leaped, wanting to cross.

Seriously, where did this truck come from?

Bam.

He was hit hard enough that he fell dead on the street, the truck's light shining on him.

He could only stare at the moon and listen to the murmuring of the pedestrians.

The ones chasing him caught up, laughing and sharing knuckles.

He was this close to shaking them off; how did he not see that truck?

He just needed a few more seconds.

They took back the package, entered the truck, and left the area.

"My God, there's no saving that poor kid."

Turned out, they had the truck there the whole time, waiting for him.

Just like death, waiting for the right moment, you can't outrun it.

It's a race.

And it definitely catches up.

————————

Inside a room, a woman held a newborn baby. She was worried because this child hadn't cried or opened his eyes for weeks now.

The child finally opened his eyes in shock, as if he had just experienced death.

It was him. He didn't understand what was going on. Wait, did he go back in time? This was epic and, no, this woman looked nothing like his mom.

And this brown-haired man staring at him was freaking him out with his cold looks.

"Why isn't the baby crying?" he asked with a demonic tone as if wanting to force the tears out of the child.

"I don't know, Master Winter."

That name. A maiden pinched him. He just stared at her with a long face.

But the name Winter, no way was it the Winter he knew, the ruthless Baron of the south who had two childs, one named Loki and the other Diva. Pfft, obviously a coincidence.

"Lord Gate, Mistress Alia has given birth to a child."

He shivered when another maiden rushed in, giving that news. His heart pounded, and his mom could feel it.

'An..another child? Lord Gate? Miss... Mistress Alia?", he assimilated with a lingering fear.

"I'll be right there, and before I get back, I need answers to why Loki isn't crying," he said, pointing his finger at the baby.

'Loo...Loki?... I'm Loki?... Why God?... Why?'

Was he Loki? The name alone just made his fear surface. He began crying, knowing the situation he had gotten himself into.

'Uwaaah... uwaaah!'

His cry brought a smile to his mother's face, to the Southgate Lord, and to the present maidens. These people had no idea why he suddenly began crying.

And after he heard the baby cry, he exited the room to attend to his step-brother, that bastard.

Once again, he was in another race. The race of running from death. He had reincarnated in a novel, called "The Protagonist is Too Strong."

Why is that? You'll find out once you see him, and his dear step-sister, Diva, the Villain.

You must be wondering where that leaves him. Well, he was Loki, the first son of the SouthGateLord who would be overshadowed by a girl, the evil villain who would end up getting killed.

'Of all fictions... I'm in this one?'

The kill part he liked because Diva used him as a punching bag. The comparison between them was too much.

Why wouldn't he be strong, you ask? It's because Loki didn't cry; he was born with a nightmare disease.

He was born with that disease. A curse that kills from the inside, then what was the use of th stupid Reincarnation anyway?.

He only had a few years to live. What did it matter? He was a petty thief who couldn't outrun bullets and throwable knives.

He wasn't born to be anything great in this world either. He could survive when his sister was the Villain and the top strong Protagonist mopping her ass.

'Even after given a second chance I'm still becoming nothing great... A fucking punching bag, a fucking side Character... A fucking stepping stone... JUST WHY?', inwardly, he yelled.

"Take it easy, Loki," said a maiden. She saw how he was grabbing his mom's breast so hard. He let his anger surface without knowing.

But forget her, who the hell was she? As far as he was concerned, these breasts now belonged to him. One major advantage of a man's reincarnation.

Overall, there was one thing confusing him. Why wasn't anybody opening the inbox messages on the blue holographic screen.
