He looked at those texts again and decided to put them on hold. The reason was that he didn’t know why a constellation would offer a hand to help him or ask him to be his follower.
Also, he had no idea about the Constellation. If the constellation turned out to be evil, which seemed evident from the Alias he used, he would end up in trouble.
‘Well, I do have the system…’

Ian stared at the screen for a few seconds right after which he noticed the ‘Rank’ that was mentioned.
‘Rank? Does that indicate the authority power of a God?’, he asked.

With this he was sure, the Constellation that tried to offer him to be his follower was a high-ranking one.
“Na, I reject his offer.”, he said.

Ian looked at the screen in a daze.
‘Do they respond in such a manner?’, he was surprised.
‘Well anyway…’, while thinking about this he walked out of his house.
Just as he opened the door, he was completely surprised by his surroundings.
”What the-“
There were tons of people murdered. A lot of blood had been spilled.
It was easy for Ian to deduct what had happened. He could see the footprints of the animals that walked after killing.
*gulp*
‘Just what the heck is going on?’, he asked himself.
He recalled the message that he had heard in his dream and co-related with the task that the Angels wanted him to do.
‘I see.’
‘The Gods want to kill us while the Angels want me to kill the Gods.’
‘Ha…’, he sighed.
He was a normal 18-year-old boy who had barely seen the world. Well, the world he knew was no more.
The place where humans used to roam, was now occupied by beasts.
‘What do I do?’
‘How do I survive this?’
“Wait…”
“What about her?”, right after saying this he turned to his left and ran as fast as he could.
‘Ya…’
‘She should be fine.’
‘Nothing would have happened to her.’
‘Yes, she would still greet me with the same smile as always.’
He rushed as fast as he could until he arrived in front of the girl’s house.
There were three houses in between Ian’s and the girl. This meant that their houses were relatively close.
*huff huff*
He was panting a bit because he ran too fast. But after arriving and pausing for a while, he was bewildered. Yes, he was bewildered when he looked at the front door of the house.
The door was open. Moreover, there were markings of the beast’s footprints all over the entrance.
“No way…”
Right after he said that he rushed inside while shouting her name, “Lia!”
“Where are you, Lia!?”
He couldn’t care more about her parents. All he wanted was to see her.
He climbed the stair as fast as he could and arrived at her room only to find a white cat-like beast chewing someone’s arm.
“That…”
It could have been anyone’s arm so he had to think carefully. Unfortunately, he couldn’t. It was because he saw Lia’s clothes and a little of her hair covered in blood near the cat-like beast.
“N-”
“No way…”
He said in a low and shaky voice which the beast heard.
‘Rawwrr!’
It growled and then dashed towards Ian with all its force.
The beast was trice the size of a fat white cat which Lia owned.
He squat almost immediately due to which he successfully dodged the beast. The beast dashed right into the wall and ended up going through it.
He looked at the beast falling on the ground and killing itself as a kitchen knife pierces through its head.
“This…”
“This is Lia’s cat.”
“Then…”
“Then what about Lia?”, he was bewildered.
‘No.’
‘I should think positively.’
‘She might have gone to her relative's house or her friend's house and might be safe…’, he tried to give random reasons that could have led to Lia’s survival.
However, he couldn’t help but cry. The tears overflowed and drenched his entire face because he knew the fact that Lia would always take her cat everywhere she went.
He did conclude earlier that the pet animals had transformed into beasts and now his hypothesis ended up being true which finally forced him to conclude that – Lia was dead!
“Why…?”
“L-”
“Lia…”
He kept crying and whimpering.
‘You were the only reason why I forced myself to be alive till today…’
‘Now without you, how will I live?’, he asked himself.
‘Maybe…’
‘Maybe, I’m better off dead.’
And just as he had thought this, suddenly a notification appeared on the screen.

After these texts appeared, a mysterious gift box icon popped on the screen.
‘‘Ha…?”
‘Survived level one? Rewards?’
‘The heck? Do the Gods think that this is some game!?’, Ian was so angry that the blood pressure rose and blood vessels expanded so much that they could be seen all over his arms and face.
Even his eyes turned only a bit reddish earlier because he kept crying and rubbing his eyes but now, his eyes were completely red as he got furious.
