The door toward Alexander's room opened, and he turned his head to see who had come in. He was standing naked in the middle of the room while Melina tried to find something suitable to wear for him since his last outfit was more breakfast than clothes, "Mom! I am naked!"

He held his private parts, and his face flushed. His mother just tilted her head in confusion, not knowing what to say about her weird son.

She ignored his strange behavior and asked him straight to the point, "Alex, how do you feel about your Father?"

He relaxed and thought about how stupid he had behaved. He stopped being idiotic and thought about the question at hand. He wanted to be honest. Not like he could meet his father again and play it off, "My instincts screamed to run away, Mom. Until Dad was close enough, this is where his smell overwhelmed me."

She looked at her son and thought about it for quite some time. Alexander couldn't bear this silence, "Is… this normal to feel something like this towards Father?"

He seriously thought so. Not like he could explain a lot with common sense from his previous life. If this was true, Alexander would never want to have children, as this would devastate him.

His mother looked saddened and shook her head, "No, of course not. He has a skill which scares beings who can sense mana."

Confused, he tapped his anti-Mana collar, "But I have this thing here?"

She approached Melina and started to look for clothes for him, "Yes, it will prevent you from using your mana skills, but it is not perfect."

He frowned, "Can't Dad just not use this skill? I don't find this funny."

She looked at the clothes on the bed, decided on a petite white robe with red flowery patterns, and went to her son, "No, he has barely any control, and these are just the remnants while the skill is not in use."

She stood for a moment there and observed Alexander genuinely, "Your Father would never want to frighten you or your siblings. Please understand this. He really loves you."

He tilted his head, "Of course…." After his mother said it was something his father couldn't control, he instantly started thinking about the real problem, realizing, 'I really thought skills were more or less unproblematic and easy to control.'

He rubbed his chin, and his tail waggled, "So, these are just the remnants of the skill, and he does this not on purpose. Hm, does the skill damage me somehow?"

There were the ones who liked to talk their problems through and first resolve how they felt about them, but Alexander was someone who liked to tackle problems head-on. If there was a problem, there was a solution. Usually.

He tried to brainstorm all possibilities while remembering this was a loving family and not some Shakespearian novel. He wanted to avoid any drama and resolve it as fast as possible.

She came close to him and put the robe on. He always had problems placing his tail through the small hole in the back since his coordination was rather underdeveloped for obvious reasons. So, he needed help, "Yes, your father would never do something like this on purpose. Like I said, he loves you, and it does not damage…." She stopped herself, unsure how the skill worked in detail, "Actually, I don't know. I am sorry, Alex. I will ask your father before you see him again."

He nodded while looking at himself. He was in a better mood immediately, and who would hold it against him if he looked this great? "It's fine, really. I will try, and if I get injured, get the healer on the short dial, hehe."

Marisia frowned, "Stop using elven language, and no, I will first talk with him."

He could understand her if she didn't find it funny since, in his short history, he had too many accidents. Nonetheless, in his mind, it would be exciting to try to resist such skill and how far he could go. There was also the little bonus to show that he was not afraid of his father and thus helped to hold the family peace together.

He came home to see his child, born when he was away, and what happened? He was frightened to death and puked at the sight of him, 'He should be heartbroken, and I start to feel like shit too.'

He could empathize with his father entirely. Had he a child who rejected him suddenly, he would probably be on some bench, drinking his worries away.

Suddenly, Marisia hugged Alexander and whispered, "We will try to find a solution. Will you try it with your father and me?"

Even though his mother looked a little cold on the outside, she showed much warmth through her actions and words. Alexander wanted to return this warmth, "Don't worry, Mom."

She kissed her son on the forehead, "Thank you, Alex, for trying."

He became visibly confused. "Why thanking me? It is not like he did this on purpose or knew this would happen? So, who cares."

Alexander just dismissed such a proposition. If he was a real child, there would be many tears, hugs, and all the nonsense, but he wasn't. He could intellectually rationalize all that happened without holding any stupid grudges.

Furthermore, his family accepted him without questioning anything, and he would obviously do the same. If this problem was something that needed time to solve, he would be, at most, annoyed.

His mother smiled from ear to ear, hugged him again and even tighter, "I don't know why you are like this, but I am happy you are like this."

Alexander hugged back and found it a little confusing, 'Why being this overdramatic?'

She stopped and straightened herself up again. She had a big smile on her face, "I will go to your father and talk with him, and later we will come over. So please wait here."

She hurriedly went out and closed the door.

Alexander became more confused as his mother's emotions were too much to process for him. He turned to Melina to ask her, but she was teary and was visibly holding back, 'What the...?!'

His confusion was overwhelmed with a stronger feeling. Grumble! He was hungry.

He giggled slightly as he asked his maid, "Melina, can you get me something to eat? My breakfast is sadly in the entrance, hehe."

Melina wiped her tears away, nodded, and went out. As the door closed, Alexander started to inhale and exhale deeply. This was also overwhelming him, and the day had only started.

Without any break, he started to recreate the feeling his father's aura emitted, so he began thinking of every snuff and horror movie he saw to prepare himself for it.

The problem was that he never paid attention to anything, which could scare him. He only saw the crazy horror movies while on a date where he barely paid any attention to the movie and only tried to get closer to the girls at that point in time.

He mumbled, "Fun times."

...

Later after the incident in the main garden of the Leonandra estate

Sarusos used [Dash] and [Flash] consecutively as he looked for the lady in the estate while holding Lorient in his arms. He tried to find her as fast as possible.

He rarely listened to his gut feeling and thought something had happened with his master's oldest daughter. Usually, he tried to ignore it, but this time it was different than the usual madness he experienced.

He sighed with a tired smile, 'The lady has so many troublesome children. I can't imagine whom they are after... could be both.'

While he was in thought, he also tried to pick up her smell, but he couldn't find it anywhere, 'Right, they were scrubbing themselves clean to the extreme.'

He concentrated a little energy into his nose to increase his sense of smell and finally found her after he rushed through a group of servants.

She went from Alexander's room towards where the lord was, 'Sadly, I need to postpone their lovely appointment, but what can you do?'

Sarusos flashed as fast as he could in long strides towards her and appeared only moments later before her, holding Lorient in his arms.

As he appeared before the lady and she saw Lorient, her energy almost exploded. The fox-kin could feel the crazy and wild fluctuations, and she could barely hold it back, "What happened, Sarusos?"

The killing intent she directed toward him was almost as bad as what his master occasionally emitted, "She was probably corrupted by her energy. I found her how she attacked Sarah and Narsiz with deep red eyes, and I could feel how the demon energy wasn't controlled and ran wild."

Marisia nodded and took Lorient towards a room while Sarusos followed her and awaited more instructions.

Laying her down in some random guest room, Marisia put her hand on her Solarplexus and tried to perceive her energy, "The demonic Aura is running wild. You are right. Didn't she invests any points in [Spirit]?"

He shook his head, "I don't know. The Lord and I told her to do this and train mental skills, as well as the consequences of not doing it."

"This is not good…." The energy around Marisia went wild, and he could see how she started to absorb Lorient's energy.

The room was filled with demonic red mist, and as soon as it did, Sarusos had trouble breathing. He felt as if his mind would break through his skull. He needed to activate every single mental resistance skill to strengthen himself and remain calm.

The red mist hovered in the air and looked like the demonic version of Lorient and was screaming silently like it was getting violated. It tried to fight against the absorption of the lady and was attempting to return to its previous body.

After five minutes, every bit of the red mist was absorbed into Marisia, and Sarusos immediately felt fatigued. His knees were shaking, and his muscles felt sore. He canceled every skill, and an intense headache slowly crept up, 'I hate this damn energy.'

Sarusos knew and felt the energy quite often as he followed his master, Kairoso, to the east. The problem was that the lady's power was several times stronger, and while absorbing Lorient's, she released hers.

Marisia sighed and looked at him. Her eyes were red as rubies, and he could feel the bloodlust from her and a grimacing smile, "Don't worry, let me meditate for an hour. Just stay here and make sure nobody disturbs me."

He bowed down, "Yes, my lady."

What he felt was immense. He tried to compare the power of his master and was surprised, 'She got stronger.'

His master was wild and showed might, while hers was of pure madness. The difference was even more apparent with the bloodlust released.

Nonetheless, he smiled, stood beside the door, and waited, 'How delightful.'

...

Later, Alexander's room

Inside his room, Alexander tried to hype himself up. After a long time of boredom where he couldn't train or learn, this was a nice change of pace, even though it could also be considered torture. But he liked to see the world with a more positive outlook, which slanted more toward that he did it to build an everlasting father/son relationship.

At dinner, he was also told that there were easier possibilities to mitigate such skills, but for this, he would need to wait for a magic teacher to show up or buy something like an artifact. Such solutions were safer and preferable, but for this, Alexander needed to be more patient, which couldn't be further away from his true personality.

In his previous life, he liked to be proactive instead of passive, resulting in him prematurely joining the military. Ultimately, it worked out well, so he ignored the overwhelming amount of negative reasons in his current endeavor because of those previous positive experiences. Obviously, there were also things where he was forced to be patient, but those he liked to ignore for now.

He ate beforehand, but at the moment, he didn't know if this was such a good idea, 'I also never ate before I went to an amusement park.'

Why did he start to think about it? It was because he started to feel something that came from outside his room, 'What the actual fuck? How strong is this damn skill?'

Alexander heard steps and tried to relax as much as possible, 'Think of it as watching a horror movie and imagine that this shit isn't real.'

A knock later, and his mother came in. She knew instantly that he could feel it. Alexander didn't want to waste any time, "Bring Dad inside. I don't like that a skill dictates how I feel."

He obviously couldn't point out his other reason, that he was bored and wanted to also train.

From the outside came a voice he heard for the first time, but there was a sense of familiarity, "Guhahahahaha! That is my son!"

Alexander smiled and tried his best to relax.

His father came in, and Alexander could only smell the typical familiarity that he was related to him, 'He was really thorough... he has barely any smell.'

After the natural smell, his father came in, and Alexander clearly saw that he had only acted. How he laughed before showed confidence, but his eyes told Alexander that he was terribly anxious.

He stood around ~five meters away from his son, and the pressure of his aura was terrible. Alexander smiled anxiously while repeating multiple mantras in his head to calm down.

After a moment, Alexander was ready for more, "Come closer. I am ready."

Kairoso took a step forward. While he stood there and looked at his son, he was bewildered. He was not only different from his siblings, which was a given, but also very different from any other mage apprentice he met who almost became unconscious because of the [Mana Fear] skill, which could only be received after killing dozens of mages.

This made him visibly smile, 'He comes after me, good!'

Alexander sat on the bed for a good minute and endured the skill, and he thought, 'This is... too manageable.'

Before, it caught him off guard, but now, after all the mental preparation he did, it was not that bad. All he needed to do, was to suppress his fear and anxiety, which he had experienced while in the military in his previous life.

He raised his tiny hand, and Marisia became immediately anxious, "Is everything alright?!"

Kairosos's face also contorted slightly, and he stepped back.

Alexander had a plan which hopefully would work out in the same way as it did with allergies, where people get their body slowly used to, over a period of time and in small portions, so they can eat or touch the specific allergen again. He willfully ignored the over a period of time part, "No, Dad, please come a meter closer. Fuck this skill. I want to desensitize myself against it."

Kairoso's smile bloomed while Marisia just frowned, but Alexander could see a slight smile inside that frown, 'I think the frown is more because of my language... I heard that word from some maids and identified it instantly, hehe. Nobody can stop my liberal earthy-ness.'

Marisia didn't care about the curse words her son threw around, but she noted inwardly that she would tell him later about the nobles' conduct and that such things were inappropriate. She also wanted to find the person who cursed in front of her son in the first place.

This little inwardly exchange only showed how relaxed and on edge simultaneously she was. After the little demonstration that Alexander was fine, a lot of pressure was lifted from Marisia. Kairoso also felt much better.

Kairoso came closer and was now ~four meters away. Alexander's instinct screamed much stronger at him, and it became unbearable to do it this slowly, 'Fuck this! This skill is nothing more than an illusion, making me fear!'

He gently climbed down from the bed, 'I need to be proactive, not reactive!'

Marisia's frown became more pronounced, but she only watched. Should something happen, she would instantly take Alexander and run in the opposite direction of her husband.

The small puppy stepped forward slowly. The pressure and dread inside of him heightened to such an extent that he shivered. His tail was between his legs, and his ears were hanging down, but he was smiling. Even though he didn't know why, he found it exciting.

He asked himself if he was getting slowly insane as the fear increased with every centimeter he came closer. Still, something different inside him hated that a skill could control his emotions toward his family.

"Alex, are you ok?"

He could hear his mother's voice and the worries it carried, 'I don't care. Ignore her. Concentrate only on this feeling. I can't control it, but it should neither control me.'

~Three meters.

Kairoso started to look worried. Alexander ignored him too. Something inside him became increasingly arrogant, like something looked down on the concept of skills and the system itself.

~Two meters.

Alexander started to sweat buckets while tears ran down out of pure fear.

~One meter.

He looked up and stared his father directly into his eyes. Pride was seen in him. Thankfully he was not moving away, 'He believes in me!' His resolve was strengthened even more.

~Half a meter.

Alexander felt pressure akin to the devil trying to hug him from behind. His imagination went wild, and he swore he saw how two hairy arms wrapped around him from behind. The evil itself was breathing in his ear. A bony finger with a long nail touched his neck softly like a knife, and the whispers intensified from dozens of lost souls.

'I am going insane, but why does this feel so exciting?'

'I hear sounds. Ignore them.'

'I feel pressure. Stay straight to lighten it.'

'I imagine things. Dissolve them.'

He was close enough to almost touch his father, the source of all this. His body started to shiver more substantially, almost convulsing, 'Control it. Don't let a skill control you! Control it. Control it. Control it.'

The pressure became too high for him to fend it off with pure will. He couldn't ignore it anymore and improvised, 'You fucking asshole! If you can't ignore it, just take it in!'

Alexander decided to lose the mental barrier and take all the imagination, fear, and what came with it fully in and accept it. It came like a tsunami that crashed against his mind. It was too much but simultaneously became because of the sheer amount of insanity muddled into a mush of madness. He embraced all of it and hoped for the best.

His decision was rewarded as he heard the ring from the system.

Nonetheless, it was too much, and his mind went into insane ramblings. His stubbornness intensified when he identified the main reason why he wanted to resolve it as quickly as possible.

Excitement? Maybe a little.

Was he a control freak? Without question.

The main reason he hated it, which came flooding out as he cried, was family. He loved them and hated even more that some outside factor wanted to take away his parents again.

Was it irrational? Yes.

Emotional? Yes.

Did he care? No.

His mind went crazy as emotions that were deep burrowed inside of him unleashed themselves, 'Fuck all of this world! Getting reborn, and you will take away my parents again? Who the fuck do you think you are?!'

A new skill was received as a ring was heard.

More emotions streamed out of him that he buried to never see again, '...and who you think am I?! I went through hell already! If this breaks me, it just shows that I was not ready in the first place for a second chance!'

Another new skill was received as a ring was heard.

The pressure subsided suddenly, but a more terrible sensation was felt shortly after. Alexander grabbed his head and screamed, not caring about anything else around him, "Fuck! I think I learned a skill again!"

He actually learned multiple ones, but he didn't notice since the fear was overwhelming him, and only with the combination of the three skills did the fear subside, and all the pain came flooding in as the skills blocked his father's skill.

Kairoso stepped back. When Alexander saw this, he gritted his teeth and wanted to continue since he was in the zone.

He didn't know if the pain and pressure got the better of him, but he wanted to risk more. His gut told him to do it, and he always believed in his instincts.

Alexander jumped toward his father and grabbed his leg. The feeling subsided even more while rings sounded inside his head like some shitty software wouldn't close even one x-ed it dozens of times. The negative of this was that the headache became unbearable. The fun ended when he felt the taste of iron as something came from his nose.

Marisia instantly grabbed her son from behind and tried to drag him away. The pain got the better of Alexander, and he started to be irrational, even more than before, "Let me go! I will not let a shitty skill control my emotions!"

His rationale was, even if it sounded insane, at this point, leveling up the skill should now be the easiest. He would not get a second chance like this.

Marisia looked at her husband and yelled at him, "Kairo, go! He is starting to bleed! He is leveling up some mental fortitude skill to resist your aura!"

Alexander heard this and tried to make him stay, "No, stay! I don't care about it! Be a fucking man, you pussy!"

Kairoso was confused and just stood there for a moment. Alexander could barely see his face as the whole view was dyed red, but he was being carried farther and farther from him. Out of instinct, he bit the hand holding him, mumbling, "Let me go! I am fine!"

"Alex! Calm down! You will hurt yourself, and this time it will be worse!"

Marisia looked with murderous intent at her husband, "Don't stand there! Go! I will come back in a bit!"

Kairoso sighed and looked at his wild son with pride, "I love you, Alex. We can do it later. I will come back when you are better."

He was gone, and Alexander yelled after him, "Coward!"

As he tried to get away, he couldn't as he was restrained by his mother, but his headache was also getting worse by the second.

Marisia tried to hold onto him as softly as possible while being firm, "Alex, calm down! Damn it! You are even more stubborn and outlandish than your father!"

He suddenly felt calmer. The aura his father's skill produced partly manipulated his decision-making abilities, but that was secondary as the headache was now coming in waves. He sensed a tsunami coming soon, 'Uh, oh.'

He looked at his mother and felt terrible. Her face was teary and full of worries, "Mom…."

"You calmed down?"

"I was stupid. Knock me unconscious. I can feel the pain coming…."

"I… I"

Did his mother stutter? The dignified person Alexander identifies as a mother, and the picture of a knight?!

'Oh no… she will not do it! Damn it!'

"ARGH!"

Going into the fetal position out of reflex, Alexander curled up in her arms and tried to ignore the massive pain, "Mom…give… wood… biting…."

He couldn't see her anymore as he clenched his jaw with all his might, but he retained enough rationality to think adequately and wanted to prevent biting his tongue off.

He heard something cracking and ripping, "Open your mouth, Alex."

She put a piece of wood inside his mouth, which was wrapped with, what was probably a part of her dress. He bit it instantly and clenched his mouth.

Alexander closed his eyes and tried to ignore the pain, but it was much worse than before, 'Did I do something stupid again? Fuck yes, but also no!'

It was all about principles for him. Giving the system the pleasure of separating his father from him, he would not compromise on it. He made up his mind even more as his father's son-of-a-bitch skill also manipulated his decision-making.

'I now have a family which I love and who loves me! Who cares about a bit of pain? So what? I will be bored for the next months or even a year. Tough shit.'

...

Hours later

After what was hell for Alexander, he saw his mother crying and looking angry back, "You idiot!"

His eyes went wide, and he wanted to apologize while defending himself, but his teeth were glued to the wood, "My lady, please calm…."

Marisia interrupted Melina, who came in to check, "Shut up! Can't you see what Alexander looks like?"

In Alexander's mind, this was probably too much for her and brought her over the edge, 'Well, Alex, you fucked up again, but you can at least eat breakfast with your family, was it worth it? Fuck yeah!'

He tried to open his fatigued and stiff hands. He saw that he had clawed his mother, who was slightly bleeding, 'This… she probably deactivated some skills to make it soft for me. Otherwise, I can't imagine even scratching her.'

He also only now noticed they were lying on the bed. His surprise didn't hold for long as his mother screamed and reprimanded him, "Don't do something like this ever again! You are worse than your father!"

Alexander tried to remove the wood from his teeth which hurt because his mouth was basically glued to it, "Stop. I will help you."

She grabbed inside Alexander's mouth and removed the wood with one swift move like a dentist, "Mom, I am forry."

"Don't talk," and like this, they were lying on the bed for an hour in silence till the fox-kin came. Alexander could sniff him out from far away, especially the obnoxious fruity perfume he remembered Sarusos bathed in.

Sarusos knocked multiple times and asked through the door, "My lady? Can I come in?"

"No, what is the matter?" Marisia barely moved and didn't even let her son go.

He felt her motherly love very much and liked it, but it was a bit too overwhelming since she held him in place. Was this too much in this situation? Probably not. He already had so much stuff happen to him. Every mother would be at least slightly clingy in this situation, even more so because the child was a bit… well? How should he describe himself? Moronic? Suicidal? Moronically suicidal? 'I bet Darwin has a term for this.'

Sarusos's voice sounded worried, "The lord expressed his worries, and dinner is almost ready."

Marisia didn't move at all and kept on hugging Alexander, "Say to my dear that I will take my dinner later, also say that everything is fine, he doesn't need to worry… oh right, tell him he did a good job as his son is basically his copy, just more stubborn."

...

Later at the tea room

"This is what the lady said, master."

Kairoso sat in the tea room and pondered what had happened a couple of hours ago and how he could interpret it. After what his retainer told him, he let her alone to bond with Alexander and would only drag her out when it was time for Narsiz's legacy.

He mumbled to himself with a visible grin. He couldn't contain his pride but was also worried a lot. It was a terrible mix of emotions to have as a father. At first, he thought Lorient exaggerated while they were traveling, but she actually understated him by a large margin.

Each of his children was talented. He could sense it at first glance, in the same way how he chose people for his mercenary group in the past.

Lorient had an affinity for fighting, clearly above average but only partially on the level of a genius. While talking with Narsiz multiple times, he was a born diplomat and bureaucrat, intelligent and dutiful. Sarah was also quite adept in fighting, even more than Lorient, but because she had no experience, time would tell if it would stay that way.

But how would he describe Alexander? Calling him Intelligent was a massive understatement, but even if he ignored this trait wholly, his determination was on another level.

His smile grew even more, 'I can't blame my little flower for wanting to be with him right now. I was frightened too, but his eyes and smile told me he would not back down.'

"What a prideful puppy… Guhahaha!"

"Master? Will we eat without the lady and Mr. Alexander?"

Kairoso stood up and wanted to go to the dining room while waving his hand in dismissal, "Of course, it will do them good to be alone."

There was also the problem with Lorient that Sarusos informed him about, 'I need to talk to Sarah and Narsi and explain what happened.'

Fighting Tier 3 demons sounded more relaxing for him at the moment. The problem was that his children's upbringing clashed with what he learned while growing up in his old village. At most, what happened was that a fight broke out between villagers, but here, he had his hands full on the first day after coming back.

He knew why. Skills and [Divinity Line]'s with much more power and potential often came with much more danger and/or ambiguity. For example, someone who could perfectly determine lies often had the problem of differentiating between little white lies and when someone deceived others by omitting information or changing their wording a little to the ones who straight up lied out of bad faith. So, a lot more drama would be produced.

This was his life after marrying Marisia. Nobles loved to hoard knowledge on how best to obtain certain [Divinity Line]'s and skills, which sometimes was the only reason why they were as strong as they were. Surprisingly, the Leonandra household had barely any secrets and mainly relied on training and teaching.

This was also a perk that almost nobody could enjoy in his village. Commoners primarily depended on luck to achieve something noteworthy like he did. His [Divinity Line] was something nobody expected.

Kairoso's thoughts were interrupted as he arrived after some minutes. Going inside, his two other children were already there.

As he sat down, he was immediately bombarded with questions, "Where are Mom and Alex? Is Lorient ok, and what is with her energy?!"

Kairoso frowned since he didn't like long speeches, "Hm, Saru, explain everything."

Sarusos, who couldn't even sit down at the nearby table, came over and stood beside his master, "Yes, my Lord."

He explained, "Let me begin with Mr. Alexander and the lady. They are well. Mr. Alexander feels slightly under the weather while the Mistress decided to stay with him..."

'What a little liar.'

Kairoso began to grin. His retainer was always like this: Diplomatic to the core regarding his household.

He remembered him when he found the sorry little fox-kin as the last survivor in a village overrun by monsters and bandits. Uneducated and rough on all edges.

Sarusos didn't have an easy life, and Kairoso thus groomed him into what he was today, which wasn't his proudest achievement as he remembered how insane he was, 'Well, nobody is perfect, I guess.'

"... as for Lorient." He gazed at all servants who were serving food and drinks, "Please leave the room for five minutes."

The servants bowed and went out, not even making a noise. There were multiple reasons, and one was the rumor about his unique hobby, which was more than enough to listen to him.

Sarusos wasn't one to do it at random, though, and the rumor about him torturing a servant for weeks till she went insane was misleading since the servant in question was a spy. But this didn't mean that him leaving the dungeon smeared in blood and a smile full of joy on his face wasn't something nightmares were made of.

This painted a picture for other servants, and rumors went wild. Kairoso once overheard how some servants said that Sarusos loves torturing parents in front of their children while feeding them delicious things, 'Our servants have too much time on their hands if something like this is a hot topic between the lower ones.'

When they left, the door closed, and Sarusos continued, "It is a very sensitive topic, so you should never disclose this to anyone."

As he looked around, Narsiz and Sarah nodded in affirmation.

Sarusos smiled, "Good, our Leonandra household has used the demon energy for centuries, and like all rare and powerful skills or [Divinity Line]'s, it also has very negative effects, and as such, if you use your energy..."

Pausing from talking, he used his energy and, after tweaking it a little, he projected a rough wolf-kin on top of the dinner table, milky white in color.

Kairoso raised an eyebrow in surprise, 'This bastard has such exceptional control of energy, and he got even better.'

"...the Demon Annihilation divinity line will activate automatically when you activate your normal energy, so it is part of you..."

As he said, his little wolf-kin projection had a little greenish energy around it, slowly changing red.

"...our household [Divinity Line] blood-red energy is, in fact, the same as the energy of a wild demon, and it can corrupt us also the same, just not at the same rate..."

The red aura slowly seeped inside the solar plexus and the head, making the little wolf-kin stand aggressively.

"... to avoid this corruption, the ones with this [Divinity Line] are obliged to train their mental and physical state to a high degree or else..."

Another four milky white figures appeared, looking like different beast-kin, and as soon as they stood there, the red one attacked them savagely and killed everyone. The projection vanished after this.

"...we told Ms. Lorient that to resist it, you need a high [Spirit] attribute, but there is so much more as this legacy, even considered as common under the system, is ridiculously potent against demons and other living beings. It can absorb their energy and make you more powerful. Thus, corruption will accelerate."

After a few seconds of silence in which the puppies needed to digest this information, Narsiz was the first to follow with a question, "Sarusos, but what about Mother? Wasn't she on the battlefield for years and years?"

Sarusos nodded, "Yes, what you probably think about is the accumulation. Somebody with this [Divinity Line] will need to train the control of their energy to a remarkable degree so that what happened to Ms. Lorient doesn't happen to them."

Silence hung again over the whole room, which Sarusos decided to interrupt, "Mr. Narsiz and Ms. Sarah, please don't overthink it since it is a very unique [Divinity Line], and the problem with Ms. Lorient was fixed. All she needs now is rest."

Kairoso sighed and decided it was enough for today since he already had a very eventful day and was tired.

He clapped and commanded for the servants from the outside to enter, "Ok, come in again!"

He wanted to interrupt their learning session for his own sake. While selfish, they could come to him or Marisia as much as they wanted and ask them out later.

The next problem was that every [Divinity Line] was very unique. Even without looking at the [Mystic Skills], it was also the only thing that divided beast-kin from other races. Every [Divinity Line] and their subsequent [Mystic Skills] could be used in millions of ways.

Even their household [Divinity Line] wasn't consistent and sometimes differed significantly but going into such details, they would only end the lesson once Sarah's legacy was upon them.

"This is enough! Let us talk about you, pups! Tell me, how were you? I didn't see you for a long time!"

After this, a harmonic atmosphere was created while dining. Laughter and arguing were heard all over the vicinity, especially the lord ones.

...

Later, shortly before midnight

Narsiz stood before the ceremonial room and felt elated. He would, in some minutes, receive his [Divinity Line] and the corresponding [Mystic Skills].

Before him were only his sister Sarah and his parents. He was sad that Alexander and Lorient couldn't come, but it was understandable.

'I will probably go tomorrow to him and have a day with him just talking and playing. I feel pity for him. He probably feels like an outsider right now. Well, an average one-year-old wouldn't care, but he is very different.'

He didn't forget his lovely sister who wanted to kill him, 'Afterward, I should also go to Lorient and see how she is doing. Knowing her personality, she should feel pretty bad even if this wasn't her fault.'

However, he decided to ignore it as of right now. He had a conduct to fulfill by receiving his legacy.

Before him was his father in ceremonial clothes, a full plate armor with playful engravings of wolves and demons fighting on it. He looked at his son full of pride and with his typical smile like that of a barbarian, rough and wild.

"Are you ready, Narsiz?"

He nodded. Nervous but ready and hoping for the best. He trained and learned his whole life, always striving for the next level.

Narsiz remembered his lazy days and regretted that he couldn't achieve one more skill level since the [Divinity Line] correlated with the personality and the skills one had. Thus, every skill level was a little step closer to the legacy ones really wanted, 'Too late to whine about it. Not like I could turn time back.'

He stood on a small stage where the moon's light shined on. Above him was colorful glass through which the moons looked at the wolf-kin teen.

If one looked up, the moons stood in the same constellation as when he was born. When the light touched him, a glistering glow around him erupted, symbolizing the start of adulthood.

The light became more and more detailed as it replicated the sky, which witnessed his birth. The whole ceremonial room was illuminated.

It symbolized the moment he was welcomed by the world. It was beautiful - like a picture painted only for him by nature itself, like a lovely birthday present.

After the illumination subsided, Kairoso approached his son and took an end of the ribbon. He looked him in the eyes and became serious, "Hereby, Narsiz K. Leonandra, you will be declared an adult. Shall all nature stand by your side and accompany you through your life journey."

With this, the ribbon was opened, and the ceremony was over.

After a moment of silence, the archiver Noriken approached him, "Mr. Narsiz, do you like to record your skills?"

He absolutely forgot it, as Noriken, bound by a strict mana contract, was the only one who could record skills. The records were only allowed to be shown to the lord or lady, and only after ten years after the person passed who decided to register their system window.

He was also the only one allowed to see the servant's system windows when they came for the investigation, and the same rules also applied to them.

He nodded and showed everyone his system window, 'I don't care about things like this - Lorient did the same at her legacy to show off her [Divinity line]. How childish.'

With a smile, he flashed the system in front of everyone,

'Let me be childish, too, for once. System open'
