Welcome to game one of the Fifth Super Series! I’m, Art Poise, your commentator for tonight’s contest between the Honolulu Bikinis and the Des Moines Cheerleaders. With me tonight for color commentary is George “Don’t call me slow” Jorge.
[Thank you, Art.}
Each team has fought through a grueling season with Honolulu winning home field advantage through the playoffs easily dominating through to today. While, Des Moines took the last wildcard spot and riding that momentum to edge past some great teams.
[No one saw the cheerleader’s getting to the playoff this year; yet alone, getting into the league finals. With almost a fairy tale esque story so far to defeat some very strong teams in amazing fashion we can expect the best games of the year to finish this championship season.]
First pitch is coming up in a minute as the Cheerleader’s take the field defensively in their home uniform, white lettering on green, for the first inning. The green on the uniform makes it look like they are wearing white pants under a green miniskirt and blouse; Something one might find on a cheerleader in another sport. Climbing up the pitcher’s mound is our good old fashioned right handed fireballer, Edna Valentine, who has pitched an amazing season going twenty-four wins and four losses with a one point five three ERA.
[Art, Her success this season has been setting up batters using her mid-nineties fastball with dominant control followed up by either her offspeed pitches or her super spiral pitch to get the punch out. As her pitch count rises expect Edna to pitch to contact getting a high number of ground ball outs. In post season play she has put her game in a legendary gear as it has become difficult to make an argument for anyone else being the post season MVP.]
Great scouting report there, George, but something must be said out her battery mate.
[The upgrade behind the plate that contributed both to offensive production and defensive stability from a midseason trade making the push to the playoffs a reality.]
Marvelous, Truly fantastic, Well up to bat to start the game for the Bikinis is the deceptive shortstop, Amy Wood, her long spindly arms and super powered legs give the ability to reach any ground ball hit to the left side of the infield like a vacuum or beat out any bunt to first base. It is good to see the Bikinis in their road uniform as well. Red uniforms with blue filling in where you would expect a bikini to be worn Highlighting these players physique and also adds to personal flare as there are several different types of bikinis shown. Amy’s blue looks to be similar to a tube top with no over shoulder straps making her uniform look like it has a high amount of risk while wearing it, perfect for her high risk play style. Amy certainly looks ready in the left handed batter’s box.
Edna leans her six foot one frame over to read the complicated signs from her battery mate then straightens up and goes through her windup. Right hand swinging rapidly high overhead sending a wave through her bob cut black hair. Mrs. Wood squares the bat down into the strike zone. Third base, Holly, is charging hard down the line as the ball screams into the strike zone and off the bottom of the bat right into the catcher’s glove. Foul-tip strike one is how we start this game on a ninety-four mile an hour heater low in the zone. The crowd is buzzing with excitement here in Des Moines and Edna is just warming up her engine.
Pitch two comes in from the mound just as hot as the first. Once again Amy leans over the plate to bunt but quickly jerks backwards as the pitch screams through the area just vacated. Amy Wood’s quick bound is a little strong taking her out of the batter’s box on ball one. The speed on that ball was at ninety-six. Surely that would leave an impression on the young batter. I’m also certain no one wants to be in the way of that one. After a brief moment collecting her thoughts out of the batter’s box or just simply trying to forgetting the last pitch the lead-off batter steps back into the box to signify she is ready for the next pitch. A quick exchange between pitcher and catcher, the windup, and the pitch. Another low ball just a few inches under the zone but no effort to bunt made by the batter.
Edna’s fallen behind two balls and one strike to the left handed shortstop. After a quick set of signs relayed to the mound, Edna is pushing off the rubber and launching a scorcher into the strike zone. Amy squares her bat on the ball and pushes off with her back leg resulting in a rolling ball up the third base line. Here it is folks! The superpower that could shake the all world sprinting records. The Explosive 90 foot DASH!

Third base made a hot read out of her corner infield position and is about to scoop the ball out of the dirt yet lays off it at the last moment. Any throw would not have beat Amy to first but the spin of the ball off the bat carried it into foul territory. Strike two is the call and Amy has to come back to the plate. Think she will go for another bunt with two strikes George?
[She does try for it on strike two about half of the time but this is the first at bat of the series so I don’t think you need to take a chance here.]
I’ll agree with you George but is it really a big risk with Amy at the plate?
[Not with how she explodes using her dynamic legs up the first base line. Amy will not need much more than the ball staying fair. She has only failed on one bunt all year that has stayed in play.]
That was a highlight play by the Pitcher Sandy Chumaeker, the bunt was laid down right in front of the mound. Sandy’s dive into a bare hand scoop of the ball before lacing a rope right into the first baseman's mitt. The ball beat Amy by barely a half a step the opposite of the normal results.
Anyway, Edna has readied on the mound for the two ball two strike pitch. All we have seen is fastballs on this at bat so I would not be surprised to see a secondary pitch here. A quick lean over and a strong step towards home. Here comes the change-up. The slower speed throws off Amy’s bunt timing. She going for the bunt on strike two!
The ball spins off the end of the bat careening towards foul territory on the third base line. Amy had to stutter-step in the batter’s box making her late out of the box. Holly charges from near third base as the ball spins closer to the foul line. Amy has made it to full speed, Legs and feet seeming to expand violently with each step. Holly’s glorious figure leaves a majestic figure as she reaches out, scooping the ball with her bare hand and lobbing it under-hand in grand arc towards first base.
Most of the spectators are stunned as Holly tumbles through foul grounds near home plate. The balls slow arc gets to first base at the same time as Amy leaving both teams staring at the first base umpire. The umpire, Jack Rodriguez, waves his hands outward signalling Safe. Amy gives a quick high five to Honolulu’s first base coach.
Holly is pointing towards the Home Plate Umpire, Susan McGee, whose signally for a foul ball. Foul ball on a bunt swing is strike three. Amy is called out at home. Honolulu’s Manager Doug Le’Manse is out of the dugout to discuss the call with the Umpire. Wow George, what does the replay show?
[Art, the ball clearly rolls on the chalk of the foul line as Holly scoops it up. A spray of chalk is pretty clear proof in the replay. We also see that thanks to the arc of the throw, Amy, easily beats the throw by a couple steps. One last thing; You can clearly see Holly’s Majestic Mounds on the replay fighting gravity and momentum alike. Perhaps the greatest superpower on display.]
Yes George, I can see that when Holly rolled over and stopped in a sitting position. She strikes a pose that is straight out of the old pin-up magazines of last century. Chest pushed out, legs bent under her to either side of her hips. A suggestive lean to her right. I think that it her tongue poking out between those bright red lips. George, are you going to get that image as a poster in the near future?
[Art, I am already in touch with a nearby print-shop.]
------- Writing notes
Hope it was clear on when which announcer is talking. I had it formatted differently as I had wrote it in a different program before transferring. I apologize for all errors in formatting, spelling, and grammar.
I'm still writing the further story on this and posted this before I had a decent backlog as I really wanted some feedback and to gauge any interest.
Thanks for reading.
