Back to the Present. . .
So, if you're anything like me, you probably are wondering what the hell the deal was with that whole flashback or whatever sequence that took place a few moments ago. Well, truth be told, I don't know myself. When I awakened back in the Demon Castle, I was in my room and in bed, with Emily and Landala present in the room with me by my side. Apparently, Landala had found me in the library passed out and immediately called upon the other 6 of my closest subordinates in order to take me back to my room for some 'testing' aka making sure I wasn't dead somehow.
From there — They determined that I was simply in a deep sleep state that had been caused by a powerful magic spell, however, none of them understood how that was even possible, since they searched the entire library and even the entire Dark Lands territory, but didn't find anyone who couod have cast a spell powerful enough to place me to sleep. Their entire description of the events that transpired after I was found had told me one thing — the chest I had found, was completely gone. Either that or it was just in my head...
That is also a possibility.
However, if it was that the chest was really there and then after I opened it, it had vanished, then there was something strange going on. I mean, really — Sure, I am not the most sane person around, however I doubt I am gone far enough for me to start hallucinating full on interactable objects such as chests
No, I really did find a chest and opened it, only for it to I guess put me into a deep sleep and then vanish from the library. Only question right now was - Did the chest send me into a dream or did it make me somehow relive a past event which I cannot change? Honestly, who knows — however, I had to get to the bottom of this.
So, even though Emily and Landala were protesting like crazy, I had left them both behind and headed back to the Library to begin researching things that could be connected to the chest — which mainly were things that were connected to the symbol which I saw engraved on the chest, and in return....
Were linked to the fallen Demon King of Agony, Nilove Traviosa — the potential creator of the chest I had found.
However, I wasn't a fool. I didn't go to the library by myself this time, instead — I decided to call upon Kaila to tag along with me to the library. One, to help with research upon Nilove Traviosa and the artifacts he had created and two, to ensure I had a second individual present in the library, should a situation similar to what I had experienced before happen again and the chest suddenly appears again. Though, that was a bit of a stretch on my part, since for that to happen, stars would basically need to align for me.... And not in a good way.
In the Library, me and Kaila were sitting at the main table of the library, both of us reading through several books that were mainly history books and what not. However.... Researching things linked to Nilove Traviosa wasn't as easy as you may think....
You see, the problem with this worlds library and recorded history is that it basically only starts its records with the rise of the Demon King of Sins to power as a grand villain or mastermind behind a Demonic invasion, with the Gods being the one thing battling against him and establishing all the different racial kingdoms that are a thing nowadays. Basically nothing of the true history and the other Demon Kings or even the War that went on from the literal beginning of this world to around the Year 205 was recorded. Only small snippets and legends were 'recorded' in books about the other Demon Kings or the great war between the Gods and the Demon Kings, however these were merely just legends, not historical facts. Which meant that even though right now, in the Demon Castles library me and Kaila could find some minor details about the past which Avis was part of, the information was so vague and small that it legitimately felt like the ingredient list on canned beans had more to read on it.
Realistically, the only way to learn anything about anything that was even slightly linked to the past from Year 0 till Year 205 was only through researching the artifacts and relics left behind from that era — which, to be fair, I did have a bunch of. You know, I said before that Avis had claimed a LOT of the items, artifacts and relics that once belonged to the other Demon Kings after they all fell, before locking them all up in a vault. So theoretically, I could go and look through them with magic for even a slight amount of traces left behind that have the past engraved in them on the relics and artifacts, however.... That — felt like the worst and most inefficient option.
The information stored in the relics and artifacts was only really viewable by using some strong Eldritch magic to extract the traces with information in them from the relics and artifacts and then transfer that information onto paper to be able to read it. That I could do, however it was quite a slow process. It wasn't an instantaneous thing, since mixed with those traces of information, there was also degraded old spells that the artifacts and relics were enchanted by.
So, that option could work, but I think I'll stick to the books. And so, for the next 3 days, me and Kaila basically did not sleep and just went through all of the books in the Demon Castles library — yes, all of them — all 780,450 books that were in that place, before eventually coming up empty handed and leaving the library. Despite my slight hopes, all the books had were maybe a legend or two about that age and nothing more. If I wanted more information about Demon King of Agony Nilove Traviosa, I was going to need to find another way to get it. However — ....I am tired right now. Like I said, three days without sleep and just reading through books. I need to catch some sleep.
And that's what I did.
After leaving the library, I headed straight to my personal bedroom, got changed out of my royal attire and basically fell into bed, wrapped myself in my blankets and just drifted off to sleep. I can continue searching for information another day...
For now, I just want to sleep.

3 Years Later. . .
Time was here. The time, that I was dreading. It was the day. Just a month ago, Alis, the protagonist, turned 13. And you know what that means... Yup — the plot has officially begun.... Well, not really actually. The main plot is going to begin today, as today was the day when Alis enrolls at the Evelia Kingdoms Magic Academy — or atleast, it should be the day for that today, if everything goes just like it did in the games plot. How do I know this? Well, in the games main plot, Alis' birthday is only a month from what is essentially September 1st in our world - which in this games timeline was when the school year at the academy begins.
And as far as I remembered from the game, around a weei after Alis turns 13 she receives a scholarship at the academy, given to her by the King himself in secrecy, as to not draw much attention to her. That was the excuse given in the game at least, but if you ask me — her having Merlin and Gilgamesh as her mentors was already drawing a lot of attention. I mean, really. Two of the greatest individuals in Evelia have both been her mentor in the ways of using a sword.... If that doesn't draw attention, then nothing will.
Anyways, currently I was preparing. For what? Well, to enroll at the academy as well. I thought about it thoroughly and even though I could very easily infiltrate the academy as a teacher and sign up as a teacher, I decided against it and instead decided to enroll as a student at the academy as well. Mainly because of one reason — it allowed me to keep an eye on Alis, without needing to worry about responsibilities. As a teacher, I would be busy blending in and teaching classes and wouldn't get much chance to observe her - however, as a fellow student... Things would be different. Yes, I would have student responsibilities to worry about, but those are much, much easier to deal with and wouldn't also effect my ability to observe Alis in any way. I mean, really — how much can education effect it any way? Now, while I personally won't be enrolling at the academy as a teacher, I did get Dvirt to agree and sign up at the academy as a physical strength teacher. Mainly, because I told him that I wish to infiltrate the academy and look out for the potential Reincarnation of the Hero who once wielded the Sacred Blade of Hope.
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
Luckily for me, Dvirt didn't question it much and agreed to do it instantly — only adding on that he would also be forced to treat me as all the other students and unable to give me special treatment as a supposed negative thing. However, I simply had responded to him that it wasn't a bad thing and that him treating me just like all the other students was actually the most ideal thing he could do.
Currently, Dvirt was on his way to Evelia to sign up, since anyone wanting to become a teacher at the academy had to sign up before the opening ceremony which was happening around 13:40 o' clock this afternoon. Which also meant that I had around 2 hours before I had to be there. I already have secured my enrollment at the academy, using my connection with the Golden Dragon Saint to get her to vouch for me and to sort of bribe the academy into enrolling me as a nobles child, setting me up with the background of being the child of a secretive noble family that happened to have connections to the Dragon-born Kingdom and their King. Yeah, I know it sounds unbelievable, but you'd be shocked just how gullible and short sighted the humans in this world are.
As for how I would look to go to the academy... I needed to look like a 13 year old at a minimum, with maybe having some room to look like a 14 year old. So let's get to it.
I stood infront of the large mirror on the wall in my bedroom, before activating my disguising spell and beginning to morph my body — sculpting together the appearence of a mortal, human child just like it was just some clay project. I decided to make myself a bit tall for a 13 year old, give myself a somewhat scrawny yet some what muscular build, give myself pale skin, deep blue eyes and short hair, which was black in colour. As for the outfit, I simply created up some clothes which I believe would fit a child that was part of a noble family with connections to the Dragon-born King — basically, very noble and mighty looking, but not so mighty and noble that it was royal. It was noble enough to make me look like the child of a wealthy family.
Looking in the mirror, I smiled lightly. The look was perfect in my opinion. I turned my head to the sides a bit, checking them out as well as looking for any misses I may have had during the body sculpting, but all looked good.
"Now I just need one more thing..."
I mumbled to myself, before turning towards my bed and walking over to it and picking up the bracelet which Ghurt had made for me. The bracelet was the most important part of this whole disguise — it's the only reason I will be able to enter the academy undetected as no one will be able to pick up on my true aura and magic.
I clipped the bracelet open, before placing it around my left wrist and clipping it closed, before it tightened around my wrist — adjusting its size to fit my new child body. After the bracelet was on, I exhaled lightly spinning around before snapping my fingers.
In an instant, the door to my bedroom flew open with Emily stepping inside and kneeling infront of me.
Emily: "You called, Your Excellence?"
"Indeed I did — tell me Emily, do I look good?"
I asked, posing a bit in my child form. Emily lifted up her head lightly, looking at me and examining my child form. For some reason her cheeks flushed with red and she began looking quite nervous, sweating quite a bit — which confused me greatly, causing me to lift an eyebrow.
"...Emily?"
Emily: "A-Ah! My apologies Your Excellence... I think you look fantastic."
She sort of panicked a bit before lowering her head again and replying. I could see her almost fighting back some kind of urges or something, however decided to not question it in any way and simply sighed, before walking up to Emily and lightly rubbing the top of her head.
"Come on with me — You'll be my escort to the Evelias Academy."
I stated leaving the room.
Emily: "Of course Your Excellence."
Emily replied instantly, before continuing to kneel there. Then, she gasped before standing up in a panic and rushing out of the room.
Emily: "H-Hold on — the Evelias Academy?!"
She shouted darting after me in confusion. I simply grinned to myself while walking down the hall of the Demon Castle. The main plot is beginning today, which was a something I dreaded for a long time. However, now that I am ready to go and enroll there myself.... I can't help but smirk with a devious smirk.
I hope that the Gods and this worlds main story is ready — because the Final Boss is about begin his quest. The quests goal? Simple;
Prevent the death of Avis Virtiosa, the Demon King of Sins.... Aka..... me.
Kingdom of Evelia...
40 Minutes until the Academy Ceremony.
I was sitting in a carriage which we had taken from the Demon Castles basement and changed to how it needed to look with transformation magic. The carriage was being pulled by two Death Horses, which were disguised as regular ones via special disguise collars that Ghurt had made around 4 months ago. Emily was the one on the carriage, controlling it, with only me being the only passenger inside. You know, if I wanted to sell the image of being some secretive noble families child, I had to make sure I did everything that a secretive noble family would most likely do.
....Although, now that I think about it, I doubt a Secretive noble family would send their child in a carriage alone with just a maid as the one accompanying him. No, that definitely wouldn't be the case... Oh well, it's too late now.
We had easily managed to make it through the Evelias gate, using special documents we had made and gotten approved by the Dragon-born King and were currently on our way to the Academy as the ceremony was approaching rapidly. Only 40 minutes remained... Or actually, more accurately, around 35 Minutes remained now. The academy was located quite deep inside Evelia, being a massive building somewhere in the back of Evelia. No, it was quite literally in the back of Evelia, I am not even joking — it felt more like a prison on the outside then an education facility.
Earlier while on our way to Evelia, I received a mental message from Dvirt who had confirmed his successful acceptance or infiltration in the academy as a teacher — which were great news to hear. With Dvirt in the academy as a teacher, the entire plan that I had prepared for my observation of Alis could go smoothly, as now I could not only observe Alis as a student, but also had the backing of Dvirt who would always be on standby at the academy.
Emily: "Your Excellence, may I inquire for your reason to enroll at a human academy? Humans are our sworn enemies, so I don't understand why you would do this."
Emily suddenly spoke to me through the mental message thing. Right — I had forgotten to fill Emily in on the same plan as Dvirt, which kinda makes me surprised that she even agreed to do this in the first place. Emily is usually a careful individual - she doesn't agree to things without the full context, even if I order her to do something, she would usually ask what purpose it served.
So her having come this far and gone along with a plan that she doesn't even have any knowledge of, was kind of surprising and also a bit strange. Although, I guess it actually isn't that strange now that I think about it, considering that I didn't even think about this up until now...
After a small amount of time, I exhaled lightly.
"I'll tell you the same thing I told Dvirt — I wish to see whether the Hero who wielded the Sacred Blade of Hope all those years ago has potentially reincarnated."
Emily: "Even then... Wouldn't the Humans protect a potential reincarnation of the Hero with all they had? Would they really attend a normal academy?"
Emily made a good counter point against my whole fake plan... The humans most likely would not let a potentially reincarnated Hero just roam around like everyone else. No, they would most likely protect the Hero and keep him in the palace or something, before coordinating an expedition or something to reclaim the Sacred Blade from the Ruins of Inara.
I thought about her argument for a little while, before exhaling lightly.
"Your concerns are grandiose — however, I doubt that the Humans would catch onto a potentially reincarnated Hero that easily. As far as I understand, Reincarnations of past individuals never have the memories of their past nor do they have their power, so there is a high chance that if he has reincarnated, he hasn't been discovered yet."
Emily: "I see... Then I applaud your intelligence Your Excellence."
Phew, she bought it.
To be honest, I had completely made all of that up, well... Most of it anyway. The thing about reincarnations not having any memories or powers of their past life stands true.
After that small exchange between me and Emily, it only took for us around 20 minutes before we finally reached our destination — the one and only, Evelias Magic Academy. The carriage stopped infront of the academy gates, with students both — new ones and older ones — pouring into the school slowly. Emily hopped off the front of the carriage and walked over to the right door, before opening it and bowing lightly, as I hopped out.
Emily: "Have a nice day, Mister Anker."
"Thank you Emily - tell Mother and Father that I will write to them in the evening."
Emily: "I shall."
Emily responded one final time, before handing me the bag we had prepared for me to enter the school with. Afterwards, she shut the carriages door and hopped back onto the front, throwing me a slightly nervous gaze, before whipping the horses and leaving with the carriage.
I could see other students throw gazes and whisper amongst themselves about me, while I stood in one place. Guess rumours of my enrollment have spread like wildfire.... Good.
That's what I need.
And so, with a grin — I turned to look at the impressively sized academy, which towered over everyone here, with also a massive territory around it fenced off by a big brick wall. Time was here, it was time for me to infiltrate the academy as a student and begin my plans step one. I've waited 13 years to begin this entire thing — and now was time to finally set it in motion. Laughing to myself lightly, I threw my back onto my left shoulder before beginning to confidently walk towards the academy building, joining the stream of students that kept just piling up and entering the academy.
