Urania, the goddess of astronomy, the most beautiful maiden in the realm. She possessed the power of all celestial bodies. Other gods and goddesses envied her because she was the most powerful among them. Out of jealousy, she was falsely accused, which resulted in her being thrown to earth, where there are no other gods and goddesses in existence.
She was sent there to die by fighting and killing various high-ranking demons. However, she refused to die and fought her way to victory with the help of a mage named Ezra.
Humans living in the area were grateful and relieved to know that they were now safe from the endless killings of the demons that reigned over their country. She created a barrier that covered all the land that she had helped liberate, to prevent future invasions by other demons from outside.
Afterward, she and Ezra decided to rule this land and made it their empire, naming it Araceli, meaning ‘altar of the sky or heaven.’
Months after reigning over Araceli Empire, she married Ezra and had three wonderful children. They were each blessed with an ability based on Urania’s astronomical powers. She named them Selene, goddess of moon; Helios, god of the sun; and Asteria, goddess of stars. She divided her empire into three regions, each corresponding to one of her children.
…
Knowing that Urania had succeeded in eliminating the demons and was content living her life on earth, the goddess of the underworld became furious. She opened a gate from ‘down under’ directly to Araceli, and demons began crawling out of the huge hole in the center of the plaza. Humans were terrified; the streets were filled with screams and blood of people who had just been slaughtered by these demons. Urania was enraged as she watched the place she had built being destroyed before her eyes. She rushed to the front of the huge hole and began fighting the massive demons.

Exhausted and scared for the safety of her people, Urania pleaded, “Please stop! I’ll do anything you want; just don’t hurt my people!” The goddess of the underworld heard her plea and offered her two options: she could close the gate, but Urania would remain trapped in the underworld and die alone inside, or the gate would remain open, allowing endless demons to crawl out of it. Without hesitation, Urania chose to have the gate close. Her husband, Ezra, disagreed, but he was unable to stop her.
Before Ezra could act, Urania rushed forward and jumped into the hole, along with the demons chasing her. The gate to the underworld closed, leaving Ezra and her children behind.

“What a weird dream.” I mumbled while still half asleep.
Today is August 7th; it was a normal day for me. But up until midnight before I turned 20, something unusual happened.
At exactly 12 a.m. on August 8th, right after I got home from the bar with my friend. I happened to stumble upon a large mirror in my apartment, which I thought was a gift from my friends. It was a gold vintage mirror with a swirly design in its frame; it was very pretty. But something beyond its beauty grabbed my attention.
The mirror did not reflect the surroundings I was in. Instead, I saw a field of flowers being blown by the wind. I bent down to bring my face closer to the mirror to look at it closely, but I suddenly lost my balance and fell straight inside the mirror.
…
It was one sunny morning when I opened my eyes and realized I was lying in the same setting I had seen in the mirror. I was wonderstruck by the scene that unfolded before me, but I was taken aback when I realized that I was in the middle of an unknown place I had just fallen into.
I started to stand and walk despite still being dizzy from my hangover. I wasn’t sure where to go. I just told myself that I wanted to get out of this forest before it turned dark.
Thirty minutes into walking, I began to hear the loud neigh of a horse and the sound of stomping hooves. I was overjoyed to know that there were other people in the area, so I walked towards it. To my surprise, there were five knights in front of me wearing black and white uniforms. These knights were led by a stunning, well-built man with white hair and blue eyes. I was dumbfounded and could not move an inch because of what appeared in front of me.
I pulled myself together and asked these knights for help, but the knight replied with something odd. I didn’t comprehend it at first, but then he repeated what he said and told me, “Goddess.”
I was confused and responded to the knight who called me goddess.
“I don’t think I heard you correctly, me? A goddess?” I asked.
“Yes, goddess,” he replied. "The emperor has been waiting for your arrival.”
“I think you’ve mistaken me for someone else; I’m no goddess.”
“Not at all. you have the star emblem on your forehead that says otherwise.”
…
And from that point forward, I was brought to the palace to meet the emperor along with the other guardians that would each protect one of the three regions of this empire.
To be continued.
