Chapter 4: Johnny’s Dragons & the Four Alphabets

*********

As night descended, the Tibayan household grew still and peaceful. Johnny finished a video call and checked on his twin dragons, who were fast asleep, cuddled up, and looking adorable. While admiring them, he reminisced about the Gift Opening earlier that had left him nervous. Despite the staff's instructions, Johnny couldn't focus due to his anxiety and simply followed along without fully comprehending the process.

Suddenly, he returned to reality when the Gift Extractor inserted something into his chest, causing Johnny to collapse. When he regained consciousness, he saw two large eggs before him and was unsure what creatures would hatch from them. The police officer instructed him to release mana into the eggs to hatch them and acknowledge Johnny as their owner. Following his advice, two cute baby dragons emerged from the eggs, and Johnny's anxiety melted away, replaced with joy and excitement.

As he recalled the memory, Johnny cuddled his twin dragons, unsure if it was the right thing to do. The baby dragons woke and softly whimpered, inviting Johnny to sleep with them. Johnny realized he had not named them yet. As he thought of their names, the baby dragons sat up and waited expectantly for their names.

"As for you, the red one, I'll name you Nate because you're so 'mai-Nate,' hahaha." Johnny knew the name was cheesy, but Nate jumped at him and rubbed its head against his neck, saying that Nate liked it.

"As for you, you're cold. I'll name you Migs, short for 'La-Migs,' hahaha." He continued to think of corny names, and he didn't know if Migs liked the name he gave because Migs just lay down. So Johnny went near and carried him. Migs also rubbed its head against Johnny's neck, indicating that he agreed with the name. Same with his brother, but he just didn't want to jump at Johnny; he wanted Johnny to come to him.

Between the two of them, Johnny noticed that Migs was the more aloof and reserved one. He was quiet, but he followed suit when his brother got rowdy. Nate, on the other hand, was too active but affectionate.

Johnny hugged them both, and the three lay down on the bed. Of course, as their father, Johnny decided to position himself in the middle. Johnny sighed and said that it was a tiring day, but everything vanished when the two babies gave him a warm embrace.

"Whoever gave this Gift to humanity, I thank them very much. They gave me a Gift that exceeded my expectations." Johnny says to himself and decides to sleep.

In the middle of the Amazon Forest, a man of average height is walking. He wore a fitted black leather jacket that hugged his broad shoulders and toned arms. The coat was adorned with silver zippers and buckles, giving it an edgy, urban feel.

Underneath the jacket, he wore a black turtleneck sweater, which contrasted nicely against his white skin. His black pants were slim-fit and tapered at the ankle, showcasing his shiny black leather boots. His outfit was simple yet so stylish, but wearing it in the middle of the jungle irritated him, as it was not suitable for such an environment. You can also see that he has two horns on his forehead.

A werewolf was wearing a bright purple basketball jersey at his side, with an unfamiliar logo across its chest. The jersey was too small for its broad shoulders and stretched tight across its muscular frame. The number "0" and the name "Wolfstein" was on the back of the jersey.

"Are we close?" asked the man wearing a black leather jacket.

"I really can't believe you removed me from that game to track these fuckers!!" complained the Werewolf.

"It's just an order from a superior; you're not the only one disturbed," the man replied.

After a few minutes of walking, they reached the location of what they were looking for. In a cave, a foul stench hit the Werewolf's nostrils. It was a smell that could make even the strongest of stomachs turn.

The Werewolf angrily said, "Shit !! That's why I don't want to find this fucking Glu; the smell is so fucking bad!!"

A human-like figure emerged from the depths of the cave. Its entire body was covered in thick, oily fat. The folds of its skin were so deep that you might wonder what could be hidden inside. If you took a closer look, you would notice a gaping mouth in its belly. The teeth were sharp and uneven, and saliva and tree debris dropped from its belly lips. It seemed like he was eating some trees while in the cave.

"Glu, are you a vegetarian now? You're eating a tree! Haha, "the man teased.

"He's going to eat all the animals in the area, so I told him to be patient with the tree first" a man came out of the forest, wearing a gray t-shirt with the words "Life happens. Alcohol helps" on the front, he was also wearing khaki colored shorts. He was carrying two bottles of whiskey in both hands. It can also be noticed that it has a horn on the nape of its neck.

"Where is my requested liquor, Mon? I'm going to run out of stock here!" he shouted.

"Nico. Give the supplies box to Tipsy," Mon ordered.

The Werewolf named Nico placed a cube on the ground. He stepped back a little, and the cube grew. It became a large supply box.

Tipsy opened the box and was very happy to see a lot of liquor inside. Vodka, Whiskey, Tequila, Rum, and Beer. Tipsy took out various kinds of alcohol from the box, and when he almost got them all, he felt a human body. Layers upon layers of corpses, this was the strange thing he smelled. He thought the bad smell was just an effect of the whiskey.

"What the fuck !! Why do you have human corpses in the box? Can't you give us a separate box of Glu?" Tipsy complained.

"Complain to the fuckers in the Supplies Department; they just give it to us!!" answered Nico.

"Okay, Okay. Anyway, why are you guys here? The Boss won't assign two Alphabets to bring supplies." Tipsy asked as he finished the whiskey in his hand.

"The Boss said you should go to the Philippines with Glu, and I will take you there. The Boss needs you guys to look into something." Mon explained.

"Is the mission complicated? That the Boss is sending two of the Alphabets to look into that?" asked Tipsy.

"I don't know, but I only know one thing. You are the only one who is fit to scout this person" Mon threw a newspaper at Tipsy.

Tipsy scanned the news article and laughed out loud when he read the headline.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Now I know!! HAHAHAHA!!" Tipsy opened a bottle of beer and chugged it. He felt excited about what he read, and some memories came back to his mind.

"So, Mon, when are we leaving?!" Tipsy asked

"I'm not sure, maybe in two nights. I need to rest because transferring you to the Philippines will consume a lot of mana. Please stay where you are and don't leave. I'll be back tomorrow night and take Nico to resume his basketball game. He's done his job here." Mon said.

When he hears that, Nico shows happiness, and Mon signals Nico to come closer to him. When Mon finished preparing, both of them jumped into the darkness.
