Martha: Part 1

Martha: Part 1

Martha had always been a bit of a daredevil. She loved exploring the woods behind her house and climbing trees that were taller than the rooftops of neighboring houses. But tonight, she wished she had stayed safely in her bed. Martha was in her room, trying to fall asleep when she heard a strange noise. It was a low growl that seemed to be coming from under her bed. She tried to ignore it and tell herself that it was just her imagination, but then she heard a voice whisper her name. Trembling with fear, Martha peeked over the edge of her bed and saw a dark figure lurking in the shadows.

It had glowing eyes and long, razor-sharp claws. She tried to scream, but no sound came out of her throat. The demon leaped out from under the bed and chased her through the room. She tried to run, but the demon was too fast. It seemed to be gaining on her with every step. Martha's heart was pounding in her chest, and she could feel the demon's hot breath on the back of her neck.

Martha remembered a trick her dad had taught her for dealing with monsters under the bed. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and kicked out with all her might. Her foot connected with the demon's midsection, and it flew across the room, crashing into the wall with a loud thud. Martha quickly scrambled to her feet and ran out of the room, down the hallway, and into her parents' bedroom. She woke them up and told them what had happened.

Her parents comforted her and told her that it was just a bad dream. But Lily knew better. She could still feel the demon's presence in her room, lurking in the shadows. She knew that she would have to face it again someday. But for now, she was safe, atleast, that's what she thought. As Martha lay in her parents' bed, trying to calm down and forget about the terrifying experience, she couldn't shake off the feeling that something was still not right. She couldn't explain it, but she knew that the demon she had faced wasn't just a figment of her imagination.

The next day, Martha decided to investigate the strange occurrence in her room. She cautiously entered her bedroom and looked around. Everything seemed to be in its place, but there was a faint smell of sulfur in the air. Martha walked over to her bed and peered underneath it. To her horror, she saw a small, glowing portal that seemed to be leading to another dimension. She couldn't believe her eyes, but she knew that she had to act fast.

Without hesitation, Martha reached out to close the portal. but she was too reckless and a demon pulled her into the pit of sulfur Martha found herself falling through the portal, surrounded by swirling colors and strange noises. She tried to scream, but her voice was drowned out by the chaos around her. Finally, she landed on a hard surface, and when she looked up, she saw that she was in a dark, cavernous chamber. The air was thick with the same sulfuric smell she had noticed in her room.

Martha tried to stand up, but her legs were shaking too badly. She looked around, trying to get her bearings, and saw a figure looming in the shadows. It was the same demon she had faced in her room, and it looked even more terrifying up close. The demon advanced on Martha, its claws glinting in the dim light. Martha knew that she was in serious trouble, but she refused to give up.

She summoned all her courage and stood her ground, ready to fight. To her surprise, the demon stopped in its tracks and spoke to her in a guttural voice. "You have proven your bravery, mortal. I will spare your life, but only if you promise to never try to close the portal again." Martha thought for a moment and realized that she didn't have much of a choice. She nodded her head. The demon vanished into thin air and she was back in her room alone.

Martha sat on the edge of her bed, trying to process everything that had just happened. She couldn't believe that she had been to another dimension and had come face to face with a demon. But as she looked around her room, she knew that it was all real. The faint smell of sulfur lingered in the air, and she could still feel the demon's presence in the room.Martha knew that she had to keep her promise and never try to close the portal again. She didn't want to risk her life and end up back in that terrifying place.
