Something's not right…. I think? I don’t know, I don’t feel…. What was the word? I don’t know. What should I do? Maybe I could do something. I’ll try at least.

“Haah… haha… I did it,” I breath heavily from carrying the girl with my levitation magic. I finally made it back home, which looks like a ordinary tree. The tree had a door on one of the branches and one at the trunk. It didn’t really matter where I entered, because the girl is too big for my home, so I can’t bring her inside.

I don’t want to leave her out here, so I’ll have to ask someone from outside for help. For now, I’ll set the girl on the ground.

I fly to a low hanging branch, which has a door placed right above where it came out from. Opening the door, I shout, “Can I have someone please come and help me!” and then wait for a response. I don’t need one immediately; can always shout more if I have too.

I hear quite yawn from inside and then a soft voice, “Fianne, do you need something?”

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.

“Yeps, it would be nice if Siu would come over here,” my sister’s name is actually Shiu, but I find it too hard to pronounce.

“Okaaaay~” Shiu waltzes up to the door, instead of flying like most fae. “What’cha need big sis Siu for?” she smiles kindly, waiting for my answer.

Not wanting to keep my sister waiting, I lead her to the girl.

“Soooo…. I saw this girl pass out in front of me,”

“What happened?”

“....She seemed like she wanted to talk, but couldn’t for some odd reason”

“Then… Where did you find her?”

“I think she was walking from a large amount of ruble”

“So, a ruin?”

“Yea, probably”

“...” Siu looks at me with a displeased face.

“W-was I not s-supposed to help?” Unsure of why Siu is looking displeased, I ask.

“Of course you should help! She’s probably hurt somewhere, and needs medical attention!” Siu yells with her soft voice and somehow manages to be intimidating.

Frightened by my sister's unusual outburst, I ask meekly, “W-what should we do?”

Shiu gets a serious look on her face, “First we should look for any injuries, then patch her up.”

“Oh, that should be easy,” I say, rolling the girl on her stomach, displaying her broken wings.

“These are… Metal? I’ve never seen wings like this before…” Shiu analyzes the wings and looks at me. “Fianne….”

“Yes, I know the wings are messed up, but what am I supposed to do?”

She sighs, “You should tell me right away then.”

“Sorry.”

“No worries, as long as you remember what to do next time.”

Thank goodness my sister is so kind.

“Let’s get started right away.”

“With what?”

“Fixing the girl silly, what else?”

“Oh, haha…” Why didn’t I realize that?
