Hello! I'm the author of Steampunk CTs. If you may have (or maybe you didn't) notice, there wasn't a weekly upload yesterday. This means that I'll have to put Steampunk CTs on a slightly different schedule. It may seem sudden, so allow me to explain. If you don't really care about the happenings of what lead to this decision and would just like to know when to expect the next chapter, please scroll down to the bottom of this post.

Steampunk CTs has been a part of my life way longer than the day that the first chapter was uploaded to the site. I conceived of the idea for a competition, lost said competition, but for some reason, felt compelled to continue...so I did. I was just writing because I felt a certain feeling of "This story has to continue." Even when I was going to college and had to take up a part time job to make ends meet, even when that part time job had to turn into a full time job, even when I graduated college to enter the workforce and finally landed a job...getting my daily word count on Steampunk CTs was on my list of things to do. There were times when I had ups or downs and I really questioned my worth as a writer...But it got to a point where I would think about everything happening in the world of Steampunk CTs and would grow sad knowing that if I abandoned it, Arno and Ori will never see the ending they've been fighting so hard for. That made me sad so regardless of the low numbers, I continued to write for their sake.

That brings us to the present. I have gotten a job that I love (although it's very time consuming haha.) I quickly saw time that would be used for steampunk used to ensure everything at this new job goes right. My backlog shrank more and more until I was writing week to week. (I was an entire thirty chapters ahead when I started uploading steampunk! Can you believe that?!) When I finally realized the position I was in, I told myself that if I missed a chapter, I would just switch to a different uploading format for the series. There are many talented authors on this site that can write multiple chapters in a day. On some days I would be one of them. However with the new job, it's harder to make those days happen. And because of that, I would rather take my time with steampunk rather than rush to the end, look behind me at the work I made, and see a mess of a final act.

Steampunk CTs will be adopting a new upload schedule. I'll be dividing it into "arcs" and after each arc, I'll announce when the next arc will begin. When these arcs are serializing, it'll be business as usual. When they are not however, it's because I'm diligently writing, editing, revising, and quality assuring this final stretch of steampunk cts. We are currently moving toward the end of the "Cross Zone Finals" arc, so when I come back, I'll have the rest of the arc finished and uploading weekly. After the arc is done, I'll make an announcement of the next arc and when it'll begin.

With all of that being said, I'll announce here that Steampunk CTs will return with the conclusion of the "Cross Zone Finals" arc on June 6th 2025. The date is so far away because it's supposed to be a hard deadline for me to keep track of and guarantee a timely return.
