「Ren-sama, this way please」

Ren is walking in the hallway on the second floor of the Freedom Guild with Ana leading the way.

The two quickly arrived at a room.

Unlocking the door, Ana opened it and welcomed Ren in.

After closing the door, Ana sat into her personal desk and took out some folders and documents. This is for the negotiation Ren had with Arnold, the guild master.

The contents of their agreement is that

First, the Guild has to keep quiet about Ren’s identity. Many other people around noticed his absurd magical presence already, but that was trivial. The Guild’s report back to the royalty is way more influential.

Second, to cover up the incident with Ren’s overwhelming presence, the Guild has to put him on S-rank to convince the people that Ren is simply just a strong person.

But then when it comes to S-rank people, there is a separate system of ranking among them

That is the S-Ladder.

The S-Ladder contains 20 people of S-rank, they were ranked depends on their ability. On this point, Ren was surprised to find out that Yuka is S3, which means 3rd rank among the S people.

That explains why she was addressed with “-sama” earlier.

Then since it would cause some dissatisfaction among the S-rank, Ren was listed as Unranked for the time being. Then he’ll raise his rank by doing requests.

This way, not many people would come find Ren and pick fights with him. Ren is the one with absolute victory, but that’s too troublesome to him, he just wants to relax and enjoy life comfortably.

「Then please place your hand here」

Ana held out a a smaller crystal ball than the one earlier, Ren put his hand on it. The crystal balled glowed and confirmed his distinctive presence.

Ana then cast a spell of a card as small and thin as a credit card on Earth then handed it to Ren.

「This is your adventurer card, it acts as your identity card……」

Then Ana explained how requests and such would be recorded into the card for future promotion.

The third thing in the agreement is that, Ren is free to take any kind of request as he pleases, the Guild can’t stop him from going on any request because of any reason except for when Ren said it’s okay.

The last thing is they cannot monitor him, if he spots any spy or tailing magic, he’ll rain havoc onto the city right away. Arnold turned pale as he heard Ren said this so casually and nodded immediately.

Destroying this whole Kingdom is actually but a simple task for Ren since he doesn’t have any upper limit for Intelligence. But it doesn’t mean that it’s the same to everyone.

Recalling the monster that exploded from excessive magical power, Ren once again told himself to be careful with these numbers when used on a human.

A normal person average number for stats is only around 80, could be less.

For a decent adventurer it’s around 110~200, and for special people like Yan it’s from over 200 to 400. Yuka is actually among the over 350, she’s quite a scary woman when Ren thinks about it.

Now that Ren got the adventurer card of an S-rank and the right to do any kind of request he likes to, it’s easier for Ren to gather more information while going on request. He wants to study about this world first before making any move.

Besides, jobs at the Guild also give him money to live his life during the time he stays in this Kingdom.

(Since I don’t have to be human all the time…I might as well think about messing with other races too…)

Thinking about the future, Ren received the card from Ana.

「By the way…Ana-san…」

Putting the card into his pants pocket, Ren voiced a question he’s been having since they left the guild master room.

「Yes? What is it?」

「Why do we have to come in here instead of normal registration?」

「Ahh…that…」

Ana had a troubled expression as she put on a wry smile.

Though he doesn’t smell anything fishy going on, Ren is stil curious about this process. They could’ve just registered normally and perform the promises in behind the scene.

「…that’s because this is breaking the rules of the Guild. Ren-sama is immediately put onto S-rank so we need to perform the process in secret. Also, this is the proof for you to see that we did actually keep the promise」

‘Ah I see…’, Ren replied while smiling wryly. He clearly did not think the Guild people were that scared of him.

(I guess 6000 Intelligence is too much for humans to handle huh……)

Then Ren watched Ana as she finished up the paperwork in a professional manner. Her working speed was incredible.

Ren actually feels ashamed as a fellow office worker as he always got scolded by his boss because of being late for deadline.

Sighing in his heart, Ren honestly admires Ana’s ability to work as a secretary.

Ren was originally smiling warmly, but then upon seeing her charm while Ana worked, Ren decided.

As Ana finished up some last bits of the arrangement for Ren’s S-rank, the person himself quietly called up her status menu.

Looking through the list of 『Debuffs』 and 『Bad Effects』, Ren found the exact thing he needed.

In some role-playing games, there are times when the final boss of a dungeon is some kind of succubus. This really was the case back in high school when Ren was playing a lot of MMORPGs.

There was this one dungeon boss that took Ren and his friends so much time to kill because of her 『Charm』 bad-effect that makes the game characters do friendly-fire. It was a very troublesome debuff as there wasn’t any way to cure it aside from dodging the area of effect in the first place.

That said, 『Charm』 was picked from the list and added to Ana’s 『Status』 by Ren.

Learning from his mistakes, Ren carefully set the 『Charm』 effect on Ana to 60.

Since the target will be charmed and fall in love to the origin who used that spell, Ana’s target to which she falls in love is automatically set as Ren, though he can also direct the charm at another person.

Ana fell into slight panic and started messing up her paperwork, but with sheer willpower she was able to finished everything before completely lost her composure with a red face glancing at Ren.

Ana fidgeted around as if she wanted to say something while looking up at Ren with puppy eyes.
