The freezing winds hitting the window had woken us up that day.
Sobaka: What time is it?
Volk: You think I know?
Sobaka: Fuck, let's head out.
Volk: What's the rush?
Sobaka: That it's gonna get worse quicker if we stay here now.
Volk: Have you heard the winds outside? We'll die.
Sobaka: Stop being such a pussy and let's go. It can't be that bad.
He opened the front door of the house and the wind entered the room. Ice started to form at the entrance of the house.
Sobaka: Ooh, umm let's stay.
This dude decided to hit the back of my head.
Volk: I told you.
Sobaka: Well I'm sorry mister know it all.
Volk: Oh fuck off, you should damn well know how strong the winds here are.
We sat down again.
Volk: So what's the plan now?
Sobaka: Stay till it's safe.
Volk: So now we're gonna stay.
Sobaka: Shut up.
Volk: If we can't get out of here, what are we gonna do?
Sobaka: I mean...there are still a few cans of beans left. I say we got 2 days in here if we eat sparingly.
Volk: Fair enough, let's hope that the winds cool down.
Sobaka: You want them to get colder? Are you okay?
Volk: You know what I mean, dumbass.
After a while of just sitting and looking at our fucking thumbs, we decided to just eat and sleep for today, so we could leave early the next day. That would've been a great idea and all but at around 1 in the morning I felt something strange and woke up.
I looked outside, and the winds were still hitting the window with a lot of force, I was surprised that they hadn't broken still. I looked up at the sky through the window and saw no clouds, it was really weird. Out of fucking nowhere, a shockwave hit us.
As the explosion echoed across the landscape, a sudden jolt ran through my body. The shockwave hit me like a physical force, slamming into my chest with a thunderous impact that left me momentarily stunned. For a split second, I couldn't breathe, couldn't move, couldn't think at all. It was as if the world had been turned inside out, and I was caught in the middle of the chaos. More chaos than normal... Then, just as suddenly as it had come, the shockwave subsided, leaving behind a ringing in my ears and a lingering sense of awe at the raw power of the explosion.
The snow and the winds stopped, but the house got really fucked up.
Volk: What the hell?!
After that, a red and green light was seen filling the air.
Sobaka: What the hell is going on?
We started looking around outside to see if something had happened. A few minutes later we find you six wander the snowy plains.
Okami: That explains what happened but...
Inu: Where the hell are we?
Lykos: I was about to ask that as well...
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
Sobaka: Well comrades, welcome to Russia. I don't know how exactly you got here, but I guess it's good to see a sign of life around here.
Volk: Where the hell are you all from?
Kitsune: Well...Okami, Inu, and Me are from Tokyo, Japan. Well, not FROM there but...we lived there.
She started explaining what had happened to them. She told them of her mother, Kawa.
Inu: I hope she managed to survive that somehow...
Okami: We have to get back...
Skylos: How are we even gonna get out of here?
Volk: Well, you could follow us. We've been looking for a way out since like...maybe 2 weeks.
Alepou: How do we know we can trust you?
Volk: I mean...we could've just left you to die out there.
Alepou: True...
Sobaka: Where are you three from?
Lykos: We came from Lindos, Greece.
He began to explain what was happening, he mentioned the voice of the woman he had heard in his head.
Volk: Wait...you heard one too?
Okami: You two heard one as well?
Lykos: Huh?
Lykos, Okami and Volk: Weird....
Lykos kept explaining what had happened. He started saying the things that happened with the sky and the snow. He mentioned the strange bubble that surrounded them before and the shockwave that had broken it.
Volk: So the shockwave came from there? Damn...that must have destroyed the entire city...if it managed to reach Japan and Russia that must have been hella strong. HOW ARE YOU ALIVE?
Lykos: That is absolute magic to me. I guess I'm just built different.
Alepou slapped the back of Lykos' head.
Lykos: Oww.
Alepou: Stop being stupid.
Sobaka: Are you two by any chance together?
Alepou and Lykos looked at each other.
Alepou: Not yet?
Lykos: Maybe?
Sobaka: I'm gonna take that as a yes.
Skylos: Wait, what the hell do you two mean? Did something happen when I left yesterday?
Alepou and Lykos: Perhaps.
Sobaka: Oh so it's recent.
Lykos: Anyway...what's the plan?
Volk: Well, we find a place to lay down in for the day since the last place got fucked up.
Sobaka: We were in the worst possible place to get hit by anything.
Inu closed his eyes for a second and concentrated on something.
Inu: Let's head south, there'll be a small town there.
Lykos: And how do you know that?
Okami: Well apart from a fire power he has, he can see one hour into the future.
Kitsune: It's weird how you didn't see the Enenra hitting the city.
Inu: Because I don't just use the power willy-nilly. It takes concentration and energy to use.
Kitsune: Right...
Skylos: Let's start moving before it gets colder.
Volk: Yeah, the kids right. Let's go.
The 8 of them began walking south and eventually came upon the small town Inu had mentioned.
Volk: Wow, I guess you can see the future. What if we had gone a different direction without your power to tell us? Like, how did you know this was the right future?
Inu: Well, I see a bunch of outcomes, not just one. It's hard to just see everything, so I don't tend to use it a lot.
Lykos: Wait, how do you see them? Do you like, live in that future, and then come back to the starting point?
Inu: That's...exactly how it is...How'd you know?
Lykos: It was just a guess.
Lykos laughed nervously remembering what happened in the forest.
Volk: Let's find a good house to settle down in.
Lykos: Should we look for food as well?
Sobaka: I see you're a logical one.
Okami: Finally, I'm starving!
They all split up and went looking for food. 20 minutes later, the 8 of them regrouped and went to the sturdiest looking house. They found a lot of food and bags, so they could travel with them.
As they all sat down to eat, Lykos started thinking about that nightmare he had. "Is this that future...I convinced myself it was just a nightmare but what if it happens? What am I gonna do?"
Another voice in the back of his head spoke to him. "Just let things flow, it's for the best." Lykos immediately knew what this was all about. "Argos...were you the one behind everything in the nightmare...". he responded in his head. Lykos immediately stood up.
Alepou: Are you okay?
Lykos: Yeah...just gotta go to the bathroom.
Alepou: Alright...
He went over to the bathroom and locked himself in there.
Lykos: What am I gonna do...?
A voice spoke once again, this time he was laughing. "Hahaha, look at you all worried. You do know fate is inevitable right?"
Lykos: I'm sure I can change it...somehow, someway.
"Good luck doing that little Ly. I'll just wait until you finally let me in again."
