The young prince and his guardian were driven across the station to their hotel by a self-driving taxi. The sleek hovering vehicle stopped outside the front gate, and after a quick tap of Akishino’s credstick they hopped out.
The hotel was sleek and modern, like everything else on this portion of Absalom Station. There was the sound of a ringing bell as a nearby grav-train stopped. The pair looked upon the hotel, Knight knew he should be glad that the negotiation went well, but something wasn’t right.
Suddenly he saw something out of his peripheral vision and turned to the right to see the grav-train's side slide open as five people jumped out. They were three humans and two dwarves, all carrying weapons and wearing armour. They formed a line and the human in the middle raised his hammer as the dwarves raised their pikes and charged, while the two other humans took out laser rifles and aimed them squarely at Knight and Akishino. The human with the hammer said, “You’re coming with us, prince”.
“Duck!” Knight shouted as he pushed Akishino out of the way of the lasers. Knight himself was carrying a laser pistol, but he preferred to fight with his sintered longsword; and shield. He unsheathed his sword into his right hand and placed his shield into his left hand, just in time to block the pike swings of the dwarves. Sparks flew as the pikes bounced off of the hard plastic shield. Thinking quickly Knight activated his internal comm unit and triggered the emergency alert for the station police. At the same time he brought his shield back and made a wide sideways swing with his blade, grazing the dwarves through their Lashunta Tempweave armour.

He turned his head for a moment to see Hammer-wielder running at Akishino and grabbing him, then running back to the train. Knight ran after him quickly sheathing his sword, and grabbing his corona-grade laser pistol, and firing off a shot. It hit but did not penetrate the man’s metallic armour. The man with the hammer tapped a button on the hand he was grabbing Akishino with, and suddenly in a flash of ethereal turquoise smoke, they reappeared on top of the train which now started moving. At the same time, the other attackers triggered their teleporters and also appeared on the train
At this sight Knight began to charge towards the train, once it fully accelerated(which wouldn’t take long) he couldn’t keep up, so he had to get onto the train fast. Within seconds he was running side by side with the train, as he bent his knees to jump. He leaped upwards with all of his not-inconsiderable might. His armour was heavy but it had been modified with jumping in mind. As he rose from his stance to jump, his integrated thruster heels, caused a fiery shockwave to erupt from his feet sending him soaring into the air. As he landed on the train, his armour's decent thrusters(another useful modification) triggered, slowing his fall to non-dangerous speeds.
He was now facing down his opponents. With a charge, he swung at the man with the hammer but he backstepped with incredible speed and swung down his hammer at Knight. The hammer was rocket-propelled on top of the man’s not inconsiderable strength so it swung down on him at such a speed that he was knocked into the train car beneath him. His servos snapped from the critical hit and his HUD put up an alert on his cracked face: “Warning, critically damaged. Shutdown imminent.” And although he struggled vainly to get up, he quickly faded to black. “No… Akishino…..”...
