The majestic headquarters of the United Council was now engulfed by a large, towering blue and auburn fire. Huge explosions continued to erupt as the hundreds of plasma cylinders, once used to power the huge facility, were overtaken by the flames. A firework display like no other rocked the planet as survivors and close by civilizations searched for safety.
Above the Virinat atmosphere, large pieces of duranium and tritanium were seen along with giant floating pools of liquid plasma and other hazardous substances. Among this floating starship junkyard, were hundreds of frozen bodies of crew members that were sucked out to space as huge explosions ripped their vessels apart. Large hulls of Klingon Birds of Prey floated helplessly next to half saucer sections of Federation ships. Pieces of Cardassian vessels along with Romulan ships cluttered the upper atmosphere. Huge shards of different metals plunged towards the surface, making it appear like a giant meteor shower. This was the remnants of a war where thousands perished and the stories of these events, will be told for many years to come. The final scene, that is about to be told, no one will believe when they hear it.
Only one vessel remained intact but was badly damaged. It spun helplessly as it orbited the planet. It was quickly approaching the upper atmosphere and would soon find it plummeting towards the surface. Escape pods were seen jettisoning from the Federation ship as a huge explosion was seen making it clear that a warp core breech was in progress. A weird looking vessel watched everything hidden behind one of the many moons of Virinat.
“Asani!” yelled a frighten hologram. “Admiral Riker’s ship is done for!”
“Thomas!” yelled Harry. “Asani is badly hurt. I am not done treating his wounds.”
Asani’s eyes slowly opened. He knew he was injured and needed rest. “Where is Admiral Riker?”
“Still on the ship!” Thomas yelled. “A warp core breech is happening! I can’t get a lock on him! There is a damping field blocking transport!”
Asani sat up, while Harry tried to push him back down. “A damping field? That does not make sense.” He grabbed his head as pain radiated. “Why…a damping field? They need to get off the ship.”
“I don’t know, Asani,” said a confused Thomas. “It appears only two people are left on the ship.”
“Two?” Asani’s eyes narrowed and then slowly began to grow. “Who is the other person?”
Thomas gave a shrug. “I believe it is Byers. They are both on the bridge.”
Asani immediately stood up while Harry shook his head. “Asani! You need to rest!”
“Thomas, take us in closer,” said Asani as he made his way to the bridge slowly. He balanced himself with one hand on the wall. Thomas reappeared on the bridge, seated at the front console. He engaged thrusters and headed towards the distressed Admiral ship. Asani reached his Captain’s chair and immediately grabbed his head. His whole body tensed as he saw on the monitor the remnants of the huge battle. Then he saw the out-of-control Federation ship and gave a heavy sigh. Flames were shooting out of the saucer section as it pushed through the planet’s atmosphere. “The planet’s gravity has it. How long until it reaches the surface?”
“Hard to say, Asani,” said Thomas as he clicked controls at the console. “No more than fifteen minutes.”
“Any distress signals or communication coming from the ship?”
“Not for some time now. Right now, I am picking up nothing.”
“Hail them,” said Asani with a frown. “Let them know it is me.”
Thomas gave Asani a side glance and then made the hail. Harry gave Asani a small smile.
A few moments passed and then a face appeared on the monitor. A large gash was seen on the side of his head. His nose was bloodied, but Lieutenant Byers looked to be in good spirits. He was holding onto a nearby railing because of the g-forces he was experiencing. “Oh…my… hell!” He gave a diabolical laugh. “You’re still alive! I cannot believe it!” He shook his head and gave an evil grin. “I thought for sure that creature would have chopped you up. He was so looking forward to having one last battle with you. Saying everything about some true warrior crap.” Another laugh. “Looks like he put you through hell, but I guess you showed him.”
“Where is Admiral Riker?”
Byers gave another grin as he wiped the blood from his nose. “I am fine, Asani. Thanks for asking.” He rolled his eyes. “It’s not like we went to the academy together and served four years on the same starship. I mean, hell we…”
“Where is Admiral Riker!?” Asani sat forward in his chair. His eyes narrowed. His jaw clenched.
Byers gnashed his teeth and moved to his left. Admiral Riker was seated in his chair. Burns from phaser blasts were on his chest and shoulder. Dried blood was seen on the side of his face. His eyes were open, but his breathing appeared to be shallow. His hands were tied, and he also was tied to his chair. “He put up a great fight and of course…he did the noble thing and asked us to spare his crew for him which I did oblige.” Byer’s face was now the only one in the monitor. “He did take out our ship by ramming it with his…but I now get the last laugh.”
“Let him go Byers and we will beam you both out of there.”
“I don’t want you to save me, Asani.” A crooked smile appeared on his dried lips. His eyes became twice their size. “I am already dead…and I have decided to take your precious Admiral with me.” He gave a small shrug. “Call it a final screw you to the Federation and all their useless rules and directives.” He pointed a finger at Asani. “I know you’d love that, Asani. A chance to plunge the knife in deep and then give it one final twist as life disappears around you.”
Asani stood up. His lips slightly trembled and his eyes widen. He put up his hands in an apologetic gesture. “Byers. You really don’t want to do this. I know the Federation officer that you wanted to be.” He gave a heavy sigh. “Do the noble thing and let Riker go.”
“You’re pathetic, Asani,” said Byers with a smile. “Weak and pathetic. There is no way that I am letting him go.”
“Then take me instead,” said Asani. Harry and Thomas gave Asani a glance. “Transport me over there and we will make the trade.”
“Oh…the noble Asani.” Byers shook his head. “Nice try. I beam you over here and then you try one of your tricks. Besides…transporters are down, and I barely had enough power to answer your hail.” He then gave his evil grin. “It also will be wonderful to know I took something else away from you that hurts you almost as much.”
Asani’s jaw clenched and then he shook his head. “Byers, please. You have done enough.”
Byers did the Vulcan gesture with a crooked grin. “Live long and prosper, Asani.” Another evil grin. “I hope you live a long life of remembering the pain I caused you. Hopefully, it is as much pain as the Federation gave to me.” The Vulcan gesture changed to the middle finger and the monitor went blank.
“He has gone nuts,” said Harry. “What was he talking about the Federation hurting him?”
“Another story for another time,” said Asani. “Thomas. Any way to break through that damping field?”
“Not without a phaser blast and a hit may destroy the ship.”
“Can I transport on the ship?”
“Yes, but main power is down, and the Jefferies tubes are blocked,” said Thomas as he clicked controls on the console. “I do not know how you will reach the bridge in time. Plus, there is a lot of damage. You may get killed just trying to reach the bridge.”
“And, you are in no condition to do anything,” said Harry.
‘There has to be a way,” said Asani as he walked up behind Thomas. He began to click controls. “There,” he said pointing at a map of the Admiral ship. “The outer escape door to the bridge. It is not blocked.”
“How will you get to the door?” asked Harry. “You have to be atop the saucer section to get to the door. Transporting you there will not work because the ship is spinning out of control.”
Asani grabbed his head again and then steadied himself against the console. “I have to think…feeling very weak.” He looked at Harry. “Get me a hypospray.”
“Asani. Giving you adrenaline now could kill you,” said Harry while shaking his head. “Your condition is…”
“Get me the hypospray, Harry!” He put a hand through his mop on his head. Harry left the bridge headed towards sickbay.
“Asani,” said Thomas in almost a whisper. “This plan seems extremely dangerous. I don’t know how we can get you on that ship.”
“I can’t let him die, Thomas.” Asani stood up and began searching the bridge. “Where are those thruster boots?” Harry returned to the bridge with a hypospray in hand.
“You must be joking, Asani!” yelled Thomas. “You tried them once and the test flight did not go well.”
“You want to try the thruster boots?” asked Harry. “You have no directional control. How are you going to land?”
“What about a torpedo tube?” asked Asani. “Remove the explosive head. I jump inside and you fire me over there.”
“That is suicide,” said Thomas. “You will not survive the impact.”
“You’re probably right.” Asani found his Captain chair and sat down. He grabbed his head again. “How long until they reach the surface?”
“With them fully in the atmosphere, and their rate of speed that they are falling…just over eight minutes until impact.”
Asani reached his hand out towards Harry. “The hypospray.” Harry reluctantly gave it to Asani. He immediately shot it into his neck. The pain in his face showed how much it burned. He then jumped up with his eyes twice their size. “The grappling gun. Where is it?”
“Are you serious?” said Thomas. They are spinning out of control.
“You can match their velocity and position,” said Asani quickly. His eyes were darting in every direction. “You just need to keep our ship in front of its nose.”
Harry shook his head. “Your plan is to slide across on a rope to the Admiral’s ship that is spinning out of control while falling over a hundred miles per hour.”
“Harry…it seems to be the only way right now. I have to try.” He began searching the bridge.
Thomas shook his head. “Asani. This is crazy.” Asani was throwing things out of cabinets. “If you make it to the saucer section, how will you be able to move? The g-forces will toss you off.”
“That is why I will take these,” said Asani as he held up two round discs with handles.
“Your magnetic panels?” said Thomas. “How will you use those?”
“I will crawl to the door using these once on the saucer section.”
“That does not sound crazy at all,” said Harry in a sarcastic tone.
“There is the grappling gun.” Asani held up what looked like a rifle with a sharp hook at the end. “With the additional power we added, this thing will fire over five thousand feet.”
“I cannot believe this is your plan,” said Thomas. “This is not going to work.”
Asani placed the grappling gun on his shoulder and hooked the magnetic panels to his belt. He then grabbed a phaser and placed that in his belt. “Where is my small torpedo gun?” He began to search through cabinets. “Found it.” He held up the weapon and made sure it was loaded. “I only get one shot with this but should be enough to blast open the door.”
“Asani! Think!” yelled Thomas. “This will not work! You will fall to your death if you try this!”
He held up a transporter chip and stuck it onto his uniform. “If I fall, hit transport and I am back on the ship.”
“I think for those to work perfectly, you have to be standing in place,” said Harry with a grin. “Not falling a hundred miles an hour.”
“No time to discuss now,” said Asani. “Position our ship in front of them and match their velocity.” He began walking off the bridge. “I am going topside,” he continued while pointing upwards.
“There is no changing his mind now,” Asani heard Thomas say as he left the bridge.
“He will not listen when he gets like this,” said Harry. “He is reckless.”
Asani popped the hatch that led to the top of his ship. His lungs felt the oxygen level drop, but they were now in the planet’s atmosphere so no worries about his lungs collapsing due to lack of air. He wrapped the safety rope around his waist and then attached it to a hook by the hatch. He then carefully climbed up through the hatch and crawled out on the roof of his ship. He could see that they were closing in on the spinning Federation vessel. “Make sure you keep our position right in front of the nose of that ship!”

“I hear you, Asani,” answered Thomas. “This will be difficult to match their velocity and keep us right in front of them.”
“I trust you completely,” said Asani as he readied the grappling gun. The wind and g-forces were pushing him back and forth. Both ships were now falling at the same rate of speed. He could hear the thrusters of his ship as it tried to get in front of the saucer section. Asani could see that small explosions were going off all around the vessel. It may blow up before he even gets a chance to board the vessel. Suddenly, another explosion and a large piece of the Federation ship flew awfully close to his ship. Smaller pieces then ricochet off the front of his vessel but did no damage.
“Asani,” said Thomas into his earpiece. “That is the best I am able to do.”
“That is close enough,” said Asani. He looked through the scope of the grappling gun and eyed the escape door of the vessel. Suddenly a big gust of wind and their vessel floated upwards.
“Sorry! Sorry!” said Thomas into his earpiece. “This is difficult.”
Asani saw that Thomas corrected the velocity and position. He then eyed the door once again. He could not keep the target steady. He knew that he now had less than seven minutes. He quickly calculated distance, velocity and wind speed in his head and made the correction on where to shoot the grappling gun. He then held his breath and pulled the trigger. There was a loud bang and huge gush of air. The hook launched at a speed of three-hundred miles a second. The hook pierced the metal on the saucer section and the rope went taut. Asani attached the grappling gun to the roof of his ship with the prepared magnetic device on the gun. “The hook is attached!” yelled Asani. “Bring the ship up a little so we are at an elevated angle.”
“Changing our rate of velocity, now, Asani,” said Thomas.
“I can’t believe he made that shot,” said Harry to Thomas that Asani heard in his earpiece. “That was one in a million.”
Asani quickly secured a rope around his waist and then attached it to the rope now connecting the ships together. He saw that the rope was at an elevated angle and now was the time to go. He released the safety rope holding him onto his ship and then slowly crawled forward. He tugged on the rope holding him to the other rope connected to the Federation ship and then made sure the carabiner hook slid easily back and forth. He then held his breath, stood up and then jumped.
Asani spun around the rope like an airplane propeller as he slid down towards the giant saucer section of the Federation ship. He heard Harry and Thomas yelling in his earpiece as they expected him to fall to his death. Once Asani was over the saucer section, he reached up and tried to grab hold of the release lever. A combination of the g-forces and the wind made it very difficult. He finally found the lever and readied himself for whatever came next. He was hoping he would fall directly onto the giant saucer section, close to the outside door. That was not the case.
He pulled the lever and began falling. The spinning of the Federation ship, the intense wind, and inertia all played a role of sending him close to the edge of the saucer section. He hit hard and began to roll towards the edge. He felt pain all up his left side. His vision went blurry, and Harry and Thomas were yelling even harder. He was feet from falling to his death.
“Asani!” Yelled Thomas into his earpiece. “I am beaming you back!”
“Wait,” said Harry as he saw Asani grabbed onto a sensor machine, stopping him from rolling. His feet dangled off the edge. Asani felt weak, his arms were shaking. “Asani? Are you ok?” Asani said nothing. “Asani!? Can you hear me?”
“I’m good. I’m good. Just getting a rest.”
“You have less than six minutes,” said Thomas. “No time to rest.”
Asani saw his ship float up above the Admiral’s vessel, so they could get a better view. “I am moving now.” Asani’s stomach was feeling nauseous as he felt like he was on a giant merry-go-round. He saw another explosion as more ship pieces went flying. He grabbed his magnetic discs and began to climb towards the bridge door.
“Asani! You have five minutes!” yelled Thomas. The saucer suddenly tilted forward, and Asani began rolling again. Thankfully, this time he was rolling towards the door. His head slammed again the metal. He felt cuts on his arm and leg. He finally was able to slam the magnetic discs against the surface of the saucer and stopped him from rolling. The saucer section tilted back the other way, and Asani began climbing once again.
“Four minutes, Asani!”
Asani was now less than one-hundred feet from the door to the bridge. He pulled out his modified phaser with one hand and set it to full power. He aimed at the door and fired. A small explosion and a large hole in the door was seen. He continued climbing forward and finally reached the door. He crawled into the bride through the hole and scanned the area.
“Three minutes, Asani!” Thomas’s voice was staticky because of the damping field.
He saw the Admiral still tied to his chair and his eyes were gigantic when they met his. Asani pulled himself up by the railing and began pulling himself towards the Admiral’s chair. Riker began gesturing to the corner of the bridge. Asani looked that direction and Byers popped up holding a large phaser pistol. He fired multiple shots and small explosions erupted all around Asani. He was hit in the shoulder which made him drop his phaser as he fell. Asani then began rolling around the bridge. He reached out and grabbed whatever he could reach.
“You must have some massive balls to come crawling in here to save your precious Admiral!” Byers laughed as he held onto the railing. “Too bad you will have to die a horrible death like us, but you will be rewarded!”
“Two minutes, Asani!” Asani could barely hear Thomas.
Asani gave a heavy sigh and then let go. He allowed the g-forces to take him and whip him around the bridge. When he was close to Byers, he pushed off the wall and slammed him in the face with an elbow. Byers flipped over the railing.
Byers retaliated with a punch of his own and both of them began flipping around the bridge, battling. They were bouncing off walls and the floor while throwing punches and kicks. Asani then found himself pinned against the wall and Byers grabbed his hurt shoulder. He screamed in pain. Asani then bashed his nose with a vicious head-butt. Blood poured from Byer’s nose as Asani gave him an uppercut that sent Byers flying around the bridge.
“One minute, Asani!”
Asani then put his feet against the wall and pushed himself towards the Admiral chair. He got the armrest and pulled himself towards Riker. The Admiral’s eyes were gigantic when Asani reached him. He reached down and grabbed the blade he always had with him and began cutting the ropes around the Admiral’s hands. Riker’s hands were now free as Asani then began cutting the cords around the chair with one hand while he felt the g-forces trying to pull him away. He stopped cutting when he saw Riker’s face. Asani followed his eyes and found Byers holding his phaser pistol with a bloody smile as blood gushed from his nose. He laughed and readied the weapon. Then there was phaser fire.
Byers looked down and saw a massive hole through his chest and then he tumbled around the bridge. Asani saw the Admiral holding a phaser that he must have had hidden on his chair.
“Fifteen seconds Asani!”
Asani eyes grew twice their size as he looked around for the source of the damping field. He saw the generator and pointed. Riker fired the phaser, and the generator exploded. Asani hugged the Admiral and Riker gave him a side glance. “Energize!”
They felt the impact of the ship as it smashed against the surface of the planet. Fire erupted all around the bridge and glass, metal and debris flew everywhere. The blaze whipped around them, and it meant certain death. Then there was a blue flash, and they found themselves both lying on the sickbay bed of Asani’s ship. Their clothes were both smoking and part of the ropes were found still around the Admiral. Both of them looked around the room with the same look of wide eyes and open mouth.
“You cannot keep doing this to us Asani!” yelled Harry. “This was the closest you ever came to death! If I wasn’t a hologram, I would have died of a heart attack by now!” Both Riker and Asani slowly sat up on the sickbay bed. Harry then looked at the Admiral. “Welcome aboard, Admiral Riker,” continued Harry in a nice polite tone. “It is an honor to meet you.” Harry then looked at Asani. “You are killing us, Asani! I think you’ll have to wipe our memories, Asani! I cannot relive this day again!”
“Harry!”
“It is unbelievable, Asani! You are reck…”
“Harry!” The hologram looked at Asani with a frown and narrowed eyes. Asani gave a sigh. “Help the Admiral. He is injured.” Harry gave a quick nod and grabbed his tricoder and other medical supplies.
The Admiral continued to look around the sickbay with narrowed eyes as Harry scanned the Admiral. Riker then looked at Asani. “How the hell did you get through that escape door? No way a transporter would have got you to that point.”
“He used a grappling gun of his own invention,” said Harry with a causal tone as he gave Riker a shot with a hypospray. “Then like a crazy fool, he slid across the rope like an airplane propeller and then climbed to the door with a lot of help from inertia.” Harry gave a causal laugh as he began healing the large gash on the Admiral’s head. “Reckless.”
Riker’s eyes never left Asani’s. “Are you a fool?!” Asani eyes grew twice their size. “You could have been killed! Why would you have risked your life for me?!”
“I think Faye would have,” said Thomas with a smile. Riker gave Thomas a look and Thomas looked down.
“Sorry…I saved your life,” said Asani. He gave the Admiral a smile.
Riker’s eyes narrowed and his jaw clenched. He then sighed, shook his head, and smiled. “I’m being an ass.” Harry nodded as he continued to heal the nasty gash on his head. Thomas cleared his throat. Riker gave a small sigh. “Thanks.”
Asani shrugged. “You would have done it for me,” said Asani with a smile. Riker rolled his eyes and smiled. He then began to chuckle. Asani began to chuckle, and the holograms smiled. Riker laughed harder and so did Asani. The holograms joined.
The Admiral stood on the bridge of Asani’s ship with Asani sitting in the captain chair. Riker was admiring his vessel. Harry was scanning Asani shoulder with a medical device. His eyes rolled as Asani tried to stand.
Harry grabbed his arm and sat him back now. “I need you to stop moving.” Asani slouched.
Another figure appeared next to the captain chair and Harry rolled his eyes and shook his head. “You let your hologram play doctor,” said Jajot. Harry silently mimicked her words while continuing to work on Asani.
“They’ve become quite good at it since I am always getting hurt,” said Asani with a smile. Thomas nodded from his seat at the front console.
“It is a miracle you survived this time,” replied Jajot. She looked at the Admiral and smiled. “Miracle for you both.”
Riker nodded. “It will be a story told at the academy and headquarters that no one will believe.”
Jajot looked at Asani. “You actually slid across on a rope to the other ship?” Asani shrugged. “Then climbed the saucer with magnetic discs?” Asani blushed. “All while his ship was in full crash mode?”
“Sounds about…right,” whispered Asani.
“How do you come up with these plans?”
“I…really don’t know,” answered Asani. “Maybe…it is instinct.”
“Reckless is the word I would choose to describe it,” said Harry while continuing to work on Asani’s shoulder. Thomas gave another nod.
“Well, luckily you have such good help,” said Jajot while placing both hands on Harry’s shoulders which surprised him. She gave his shoulders a squeeze and then walked towards the Admiral. Harry gave a smile and then he mimicked her words again and went back to fixing Asani’s shoulder.
“So, what is next?” asked Jajot to the Admiral.
“We,” said Riker with his eyes directly on Jajot with a smile, “find out what happened here and then…we try to prevent all out war.”
“Colonel Hakeev said the exact same thing,” said Jajot with a wink.
“How is he doing?” asked Asani.
She quickly turned towards Asani. “Good thanks to you.” She looked at Riker then back at to Asani while she said, “Looks like you saved two people’s lives today.” Jajot gave him a warm smile. Riker gave a quick nod. Asani gave a shrug.
Harry rolled his eyes. “Will you stop moving Asani! I am trying to finish your shoulder!”
Riker gave a laugh. “Your doctor has a peculiar bedside manner.”
“Damn it, Admiral Riker,” said Harry suddenly. “I am not a doctor. I am a hologram.” Thomas turned quickly in his chair. Asani’s eyes grew twice their size. The Admiral’s eyes narrowed. Harry saw the Admiral’s face. “Sorry…Admiral,” he said with a shrug and a shy smile. He quickly went back to work on Asani’s shoulder.
Riker gave Asani a quick grin. “So…what are your plans?” Jajot gave Asani a side glance.
Asani eyes grew. “I…I’ve not really thought about it.” Thomas and Harrys’ eyes met. “I know with the ship…there’s a lot that needs to be done.”
“What about the Federation?” Riker’s lips thinned. His brow furrowed. Harry and Thomas’ eyes grew, and smiles appeared.
“What about it?” Asani’s eyes narrowed.
Riker gave a shrug and a heavy sigh. “You want to…come back?”
Asani gave a quick look to Jajot. She gave him a small smile. “I did not know there was an offer.”
Riker rolled his eyes. “I am aware of…your history” Asani’s eyes narrowed. “Look…do you want to come back or not?” Asani only stared. Harry and Thomas’ eyes met again. Jajot fixed her hair. Riker gave a large sigh. “I am serious. You are welcomed back. We love to have you.”
Asani smiled. “I would…really like to…but…” He gave a quick look to Thomas. “I do not think I am ready…yet.”
Riker nodded. He then began walking around the bridge. “The design of this ship is…very different.” Jajot laughed. “I know what you have been doing for the last few years.” He noticed a machine on the side wall of the bridge. “Are those Romulan plasma injectors?” His eyes narrowed. “How did you get your hands on those? How did you modify them for Federation power tabs?”
Jajot walked up to Riker and put an arm around his with a smile. “I think it is time for us to get back to work.” Riker gave a nod and a smile. Jajot looked at Asani. “You will keep in contact, yes?”
“How can I not,” said Asani with a smile. “With your tracker, there is no where I can hide.”
Jajot gave a large smile. Harry rolled his eyes. Thomas did a small dance. Riker gave a confused stare.
“So, what do you call her?” Asked Riker. Asani’s brow furrowed. “Your ship. Every ship needs a callsign.”
Asani looked around the bridge. “I haven’t thought about it.”
“How about the ‘Reckless’?” Suggested Harry. Thomas rolled his eyes. “It fits.” Asani shook his head.
“How about the Renegade?” Said Jajot with a smile. “That definitely fits.”
“Well, the design is definitely unique,” said Riker. “Very rebellious.”
“What did you say?” Asked Asani.
“It’s unique.”
“No, after that.”
“Very rebellious.”
Asani smiled. “I like it.” He looked around his vessel. “The Rebellious.”
Harry shrugged while he worked on another injury on Asani’s head. “Hmm…I don’t know. Maybe it will grow on me.”
Asani shook his head and smiled.
Admiral Riker adjusted his uniform. “Well, we shouldn’t keep the Enterprise waiting any longer.”
“You know the Federation means business when they send the Enterprise to help out,” said Thomas with a smile and a nod. Everyone gave a chuckle. He had the ship on the front view screen. “That is one beautiful ship.”
“I miss Enterprise-C,” said Riker. “You never get over your first.”
“Human man are all the same,” said Jajot while rolling her eyes. She turned to Asani. “Keep in touch.” Asani nodded.
Asani looked at Riker and nodded. “Admiral.”
The Admiral gave him a smile. “Hope to be seeing you soon, Lieutenant.” Asani gave a shrug. “Enterprise. Two to beam up.” A blue flash and Asani, Harry and Thomas were alone once again.
The Rebellious was speeding through space at a speed of Warp two point four towards the closest Federation Space Station. The blue and white vortex tunnel looped around their vessel in a pattern that was memorizing to watch. Asani sat in his captain chair while his two holograms worked the controls. He lightly grabbed the necklace around his neck and thought of old times. He closed his eyes and saw Faye’s face. The last week had been agonizing and he finally felt he could get a peaceful night’s rest.
Suddenly, Harry yelled. “I know whose voice I heard!” Asani sat up quickly. Thomas turned quickly to Harry. “I finally figured it out!” A giant smile appeared on his face. “It wasn’t Elvis after all!”
Thomas eyes widened. “That is awesome! Whose was it?”
Harry sat up and a crooked smile appeared on his lips. His eyes narrowed and his nose twitched. This excited Thomas even more. Asani rolled his eyes and sighed. “Wesley Crusher.”
Thomas’s jaw dropped to the floor. “You have to be kidding me!” He grabbed the top of his head with both hands and began to shake. “That is awesommmmmeee!”
“I know!” yelled Harry. “I cannot believe it! I have always wanted to meet him!”
“Who in the hell is Wesley Crusher,” said Asani in an irritable tone.
Both jaws of Harry and Thomas hit the floor. They looked at Asani with huge eyes and began to slowly shake their heads. “Asani. I have never been more disappointed in you,” said Harry. Thomas gave an affirmative nod.
