woke up and sat upright in the middle of my bed, the alarm going off on my smartphone i blinked a few times to help wake my self up and ,  slowly moved to the side of my bed and turned the annoying damn thing off . I opened my door and walked down the hall to enjoy some breakfast , when the doorbell rang. I slid open the peep hole to the front door and didn’t see any one outside so I left it alone and turned around to finish fixing my breakfast when the doorbell rang once more. This time I was annoyed , someone was ringing my blasted doorbell at 8 in the damn morning and i hadn’t had my morning coffee . I twisted the door knob and was about to insult the person who had dared to disturb my peaceful morning when i realized what i was looking at . I had completely forgotten today was the day everyone who had ordered The Space Themed VRmmorpg Star-Nova : Online was to be released . I bent over and picked up the briefcase sized cardboard box and took it back inside with me . I laid it on my counter and took out a nearby box cutter and cut away the tape holding the lid in place. I removed the VR helmate from its reinforced packaging and had a look at the quick setup guide. After letting the device initialize for its recommended 30 minutes , I placed the helmate on my head and let the internal Ai adjust the helmate to my head. In a few minutes every thing was working normally according to the artificial intelligence built into the helmate. The only thing i was now waiting for was for the official launch which would be in 2 hours time. I figured i would need to get a jump on other players and decided it would be best to call out of work for today. I had already racked up a bunch of vacation time, and just went online and requested the next 2 months off. I set a timer on my phone and proceeded to make my morning coffee and the rest of my breakfast. 

My phone went off with a ton of noise , i grinned like a mad fiend . I turned off the squawking  noise maker and placed the helmate on my head and was greeted with a message “Welcome new player to Star-Nova : Online” would u like to login yes / no. I laid down on my bed and got comfortable and then mentally hit yes. I was greeted with a very intricate custom character creation screen. I played with a few options and found a small icon in the lower section of the screen where i could just base my appearance on how I normally look and imported my own features.

Next i moved on to the Races tab, This part was a lot harder than it might seem. So many different races, Draconian the dragon race, Elvar the woodland elf race, Sylvan the dryad race. Dear God the amount of customization was mind boggling.

I looked over all the plus’s and minuses of each race , no sense loosing out on a potential increase in stats or abilities if i could avoid it !  Believe it or not i stayed as a human of all things. The 5 percent increased experience gain was what really sold it for me tho.

I kept most of my real life characteristic’s for my character, no sense changing something if I didn’t know for certain how it would affect my over all ability in the game. I selected accept to the slight modification’s I made to increase the muscle’s in my abs and arms . I was then Greeted with an ornate welcome message . Welcome FenrirFangz to the World of Star-Nova Online. While some races have been at war since the beginning of time , others have taken a more diplomatic approach. Whether you wish to become the King of a star system or have prestige and authority over others the choice is yours in Star-Nova Online . Then the cutscene disappeared and I spawned right in front of a drill seargent. He was shouting something at me but i wasn’t really the type of person to do what was expected of me and stick around and listen. I was off in search of glory and riches and adventure and Lot’s of LOOT . I looked at my growing list of red exclamation points that were pointing out something of high interest on the players heads up display also known as a hud. I took all the items i had inside my inventory. Trash clothes and a unique wish code i took out the multi faceted green object and studied it closely. A very decorative ornate Description , Wish Code generator uses: 1 consumable , upon use generates a chance for 1 game desire to become a reality. Limited uses , cannot be used to own the game or become owners of the game in any way shape or form. The Artificial Intelligence known as R.a.i.n has all authority and user rights to accept or decline any Wish , a player makes . I got an immediate pop up for a chance to buy ships ,using  in game currency aka viridium crystals or any thing else my character might want or Need for the right price of real money. I had a look over some of the items they had on offer and felt my heart nearly beat out of my chest . the cheapest star ship was a scout class ship for 1.5 million viridium crystals. And my eyes stopped on how much a cruiser class bare bones star ship, cost 1.8 billion . And these were not the prices of fully functioning starships , just barebones ships with out weapons for attacking or defending , thrusters for maneuverability or shields for extra defense. The list of additional extra’s a star ship needed was simply mind boggling.  Another red mark on an icon blinking lucky wheel try for a chance to win a star ship ! . I clicked on the icon mentally and a giant holographic wheel appeared before me , how ever each spot on the wheel looked minuscule like the developers wanted to put as many items into as small a space as they possible could each spot on the wheel looked like a toothpick with a thousand markers or more for the entire thing. I clicked the middle spin icon and the wheel started to spin faster and faster, i saw it then the smallest of the markers flash by an ornate golden color with a unique border . I then verbally whispered i wish it would land on the golden slit. And just like that the Ai acted , checking Wish code , Wish code accepted. Cross checking system , system check 118-9 successful , system check 119-5 system check successful, system check 1337-911 successful. Initiating wish viability , viability successful granting wish in 3, 2, 1 , and then the luck wheel stopped dead on the golden divine slit ! And then the game went nuts , system messages fell on my character like a boulder rain storm. Game Trumpets blasted out there fanfare , and holographic balloon’s and confetti fell over my game character ! . A brightly glowing object materialized in my open palm. I looked down at the already fading lighting in my hand and gaped in awe , Divine Captain’s key status Artifact !  Description unlocks starship in a completely random state ! Uses 1. I couldn’t contain my joy , i had completely forgotten the unique code i had gotten for winning the popular virtual online multi player online game ! Lazer’s and Gismo’s online . I headed to the Ship Hangar bay and when i got there i was greeted by a burley purple furred cat alien wearing an engineers emblem emblazoned on his uniform and wearing grease stained overall’s. I took the captain’s key out of  my inventory and showed it to the head engineer . His eyes grew so large i thought they would pop out of his skull. He looked the item over in his magenta paws and then waived me over and told me i should insert it into the opening beside him . I did as i was instructed and a set of dual spinning holo gram wheels started to spin , I wasn’t sure what was going on but apparently my divine class star ship would be a hybrid of 1 kind of ship merged with another kind . Hence the dual spinning wheels . I could get total garbage in the luck category as well , i could end up gettting a divine scout class ship with no bonuses . Granted it was a divine ship so i guess i should have been grateful for anything i got . I closed my eyes and prayed to the gaming gods , RNJesus, the makers of the game and even prayed to the games Ai. Not sure if the Ai was listening to my prayer but at that moment both holo disks flashed green and my divine star ship was displayed on the monitor. Congratulations you have acquired the Divine Dreadnaught star ship class : Spectral Cymera. Part Manta Ray part scorpion , the Spectral Cymera played a very important role in the Qualdartian Empire. An enormous flickering purple and blue Star ship materialized in the hangar bay ! The Head Engineer had me place my captains key against the hull of the ship . Welcome Captain FenrirFangz your new star ship has now been fully registered and is now bound to you ,So no one can steal this starship however should the ship be destroyed you will loose it forever ! .
