I was jumping up and down for pure joy , i had gotten a ship of such beauty that i took out all the viridium crystals i have gotten from my inventory and gave them out to all the engineers in the hangar bay ! . My reputation kept going up , by the time i had emptied out all the viridium crystals i had my reputation was well over friendly with every one in there . I asked the main engineer how i was suppose to board my new ship , he laughed out loud and told me to just verbally say i would like to enter.

I walked up to the monstrously collosal spectral ship and said enter ! The underside opened up and dropped to the ground a few green , blue and red laser beams scanned me and confirmed i was indeed the real captain. I was then lifted back up inside . I entered the cargo hold of my new ship and was greeted with a young sounding artificial voice saying welcome Captain i am this ships computer Ai my name is Z.A.C “ Zeta Actuated Conciousness. Nice to meet you Zac i said. Is everything ready for us to get out of here i asked him ? Well i will be honest boss , we have the ability to leave however we don’t have any primary weapons or defenses , we don’t even have a decent set of thrusters however we do have a low level impulse drive tho that will only get us so far boss . My jubilent mood dropped faster than when realizing the number you thought you had on your lottery ticket isn’t the one that was the winner . Sooo i said , how much will it take to fully deck out this predator with some serious firepower ? Let me do some quick calculations boss , ok done i have 3 sets of calculations the first is if you went for the bare minimum, 1.5 million virdium crystals , for 25 thrusters of average capacity, 45 common flak Cannons, 25 common high performance laser turrets and A common hyperspace drive and power cell . The 2nd list is for uncommon weapons and accessories priced at 5 million for everything , or to max us out it would take 50 million virdium crystals for 50 legendary plasma turrets , 25 Legendary long range ultra high powered ionic fusion cannons, 50 legendary thrusters with instant maneuverability and a legendary hyperdrive. My mouth fell open in a comical ohhh. Holy fracking balls of platinum Batman! That was an astronomical amount of in game currency. I decided to leave the ship for a moment and see if I could get some new ship upgrades. The head engineer , i later learned his name was Roark told me he couldn’t help me out unless i could give at least a 25% down payment up front for the work i wanted done then he could give me a 5 day time period to pay back the work he and his crew did to my ship. I thanked him for his time and left in search of work or an easy target to get the funds necessary for my ship upgrades. I was moving through crowds of people in exoskeleton armor , cyborgs with lizard mounts , an arachnoid with a bat flying above its head . When i finally got into a shop that sold weapons and armor , i realized very quickly i should have saved all the viridium crystals i gave away , but it really isn’t in my nature to go crying over a difficult situation. I just shrugged my slight depressed state off and left knutts and bolts feeling slightly excited , at least i knew what i could be getting with my future funds.

I rounded a corner building and a slightly elderly man walked up to me and asked if i would be interested in acquiring some assault droids ? I asked him if i could see them in action , he gave a very pleased smile and led me into his shop. He had wall to wall robots, droids, mechs and monolithic assault types. I asked how much for the spider droid and he cooly named his price 500,000

Viridium crystals or if i was a bit strapped for cash i could do him a favor and accept a quest and he would gift me one for free. I thought about it and accepted the quest with out thinking it through . Wish i had thought it through , because the next moment he led me through the back of his shop where he instructed me to kill off all the cyber rats that had been breeding like an evil virus. He leant me a sonic hammer and a vibration saw to deal with the pesky vermin. I went down , into a darkness that was neither pleasant nor comforting. I moved slowly into the darkness sliding my boots hesitantly across the floor. I moved. A few more feet and froze i heard a skittering noise just up ahead and then torches on wall brackets lit themselves and the room i had ended up in was massive. Rats the size dalmation’s started to enter the room from openings underneath blocked off tunnels, i guess they really were burrower’s . I pulled out my sonic hammer and flung it at the closest rat, it hit it in the side and to my utter surprise blasted the furry cybernetic monstrosity across the room and it fell apart into electronic parts. I pulled out the vibration saw and easily sliced bisected the next rat into two pieces . My vibration saw was easily my new favorite toy . When the rats would get too close to me i threw the hammer and flattened another rat against the wall computer chips and circuit boards flying out in all directions. Then spun the saw and took out a few at a time , and with in 40 minutes of fighting i had gained 2 new levels and became the proud owner of a new assault droid.

The shop owner shook my hand vigorously , thank you , thank you young man I’ve been trying to deal with those pesky blighter’s for almost a year now they keep coming back but you at least stopped them for a few months ! Now which model would u like , i will let you choose 1 of 3 models i have available . It didn’t take me long at all the spyder i saw originally with twin plasma turrets on its back seemed like a no brainer to me so i went with my gut and before long i had most of the new players around me staring at me with longing looks . I knew those kind of stares before from having been around people in Florida there hungry wolf like stares that said they wouldn’t care what happened to you as long as they got what you had . I immediatly led the 10 ton droid back to my ship and had Roark load it inside. I was unsure what to do next when the system started issuing every one an intergalactic wide quest , Attention ! War has erupted in the nearby Galatian Star system 202-17-8 any one who would like to participate please head to the specified coordinates immediatly ! . I slowly began to smile this seemed very interesting indeed . I had Zac take over the ship and all its functions and told him the coordinates indicated in the quest log , when he told me we were ready to begin I sat in my very comfy Captains chair, i had a very nice view of space and the nearby hangar. We slowly were launched down a blast tube and only after 5 minutes did Zac say he felt comfortable taking over the ships acceleration. We blasted off faster than i was expecting and i crashed back in to my captains chair butt first . Hey ! Zac i cried i thought you said we only had impulse power how the hell are we moving this fast ! I hate to tell you this captain but we aren’t going very fast at all , its just that the ship has no gravity compensators so you are feeling the full effects of the g-force applied on a humans body during the flight. I nearly cried right then and there , if my ship needed all these things then the developers of the game sure made one hell of a money sink , no wonder ships cost $100,000 To start with , then you had to pay for every single modification or upgrade ! . Those sneaky damn bastards ! I was about to have us turn back when Zac said , Captain We have almost arrived at our destination. When we arrived quite late to the party, hundreds of starships were already floating in space waiting to either be looted or sold as parts. I asked Zac if he could sense any ships that might be useful for us to keep inside our colossal cargo hold . He said he would keep my request in mind but currently he was busy trying to dodge blasts coming from a squadron of a couple hundred small fighters nearby. How much damage are they doing to us i asked Zac ? Not much for those types of ships around 2 to 3 points per hit and 4 if they get lucky and hit for a critical. Would any thing those fighters have on them give us a lot of firepower I asked , not at all captain , there damage comes from numbers and there’s no way we can equip 10,000 dinky weapons from a lot of fighters, i mean don’t get me wrong we could use about 1000 but then we would have to be right on top of all of our enemies , it would be better for us to be at medium to extreme distance away from our enemies and use ultra high ionic particle cannons at the very least . Ok and do you see any of that around here ? I asked , no but i can tell there is a dead frigate over there with one on it near that cluster of destroyers . I had Zac intercept what was left of the once mighty frigate . After it was safely onboard and tucked inside our cargo bay i had Zac get us out of there the destroyers had noticed us and were fireing there medium range gravity torpedos at us . We took a huge hit on our underside from a stealthed cloaked ship that became visible to my naked eye for just a few moments, launched a torpedo at us then re cloaked. Damn I said I don’t think these guys are going to let us get the hell out of here with our trophy . Seems like a 60 % chance you are correct captain . Is there any thing we can do Zac , do we have any weapons at all ? Yes but you have not unlocked the ability yet boss . I need to level up to 2 and then my passive ability will unlock high Gravity particle cannon . Ok so how do we do that Zac I shouted over all the noise from the intense explosions going off in space . We need to kill a few decently crewed ships and then i should get enough experience to level up . Are there any abilities you can use now i asked ? Yes but there not very useful at the moment boss , here you take control of my skills and stay near the forward monitor and use them the best you can for now , I’m going into full defense mode let me know if we come out of this alive boss ! . I was starting to have regrets about entering this battle we only got part of a frigate , that damn thing had better be worth all this trouble or else Zac and I would be having a very long talk about what is important and what isnt.
