A lush jungle pulsed with bioluminescent life. Jagged obsidian cliffs stretched toward the sky. A lone shadowy figure stood at the edge of a ruined battlefield. He was massive. His armor consisted of thick plates, each one baring scorched scars from a difficult battle. His helmet retracted, revealing cold steel eyes and a face carved from many battles.
A deep commanding voice cut through the night.
”Commander Rook Garran. Power: Unyielding Defense”
A beast then erupted from the jungle, towering over him, a fusion of bone and flesh, Its limbs serrated, its face split into mandibles dripping with acid.
It lunged forward but he did not move.
The creatures claws slammed into his chest and a loud crack rumbled through the air. The beast reeled back, screeching in pain.
A clocked figure could be seen sending a large fire ball towards the creature.
BOOM. The fire raged.
The creature could be heard screeching, waiving its serrated limbs back and forth, then, it could be seen no more, only a pile of ash in its place.
The deep commanding voice could be heard again.
”Commander Rook, An immovable force on the battle field”
The scene shifted to a warzone.
20 humanoid wolf like creatures charging toward a lone woman standing in their path.
Stolen story; please report.
She wore no armor. No weapons. Just a flowing silver coat, the insignia of Titans Wake was emblazoned across her back. Her piercing blue eyes locked onto the battlefield.
She Exhaled a fine mist towards the enemies. They all froze in place, Every claw, Every mouth, every creature suspended, frozen in place.
Some of them were frozen in mid-sprint. Others mid-swing. One soldier was trapped with its claws mere inches from her throat.
Her expression hadn’t changed.
Another person, cloaked and had their face covered, came running up beside her. Waves of sound could be seen emitting from their mouth.
All the frozen creatures' bodies broke apart like glass shattering. The battlefield was empty before the first corpses even hit the ground.
The same voice from before rumbles through the night.
“CAPTAIN SELENE VAUGHN. POWER: FROZEN BREATH.”
She turned and her cold eyes could be felt staring past you as she said
“CONTROL THE FLOW OF BATTLE. DECIDE WHO MOVES AND WHO DOESN’T”
A new scene appears.
A sniper perched on a burning rooftop, hitting a target from miles away. A soldier with his veins turning bright red. His entire body turned into living magma. A blade-dancer weaving through enemies at inhuman speed, their swords moving too fast to see.
Large words appeared on the holographic image being shown on the building
“THIS IS TITAN”S WAKE.”
”PROVE YOURSELF OR BE FORGOTTEN”
“TITAN’S WAKE IS RECRUITING.”
The ad shut off and the city returned to its normal neon lit buildings and streets.
Theo exhaled slowly. His grip letting go of the window frame. He walked towards his bed, sitting down, Looking at the clock. 11:55pm. His heart was beating fast, anxiety feeling his chest. He whispered to himself “5 more minutes…Just 5 for more minutes and ill awaken my power.”
What Faction was he going to join if he got a strong power? He knew Titans wake was offering. Glory. Power. A future.
But he also knew the truth. They didn’t recruit survivors. They recruited weapons. And he wasn’t about to become one of their puppets.
Theo also knew his future depended on the power he would get at 12:00am, when he finally turned 20.
