Volume 1, Chapter 8

The next morning, Connor was dreaming about a water fountain, waking to the shower running. He needed to pee really bad, as running water was one thing to make him want to go!

Torn on what to do, he heard the shower stop, so all he needed to do was wait, even for her to put a towel on so that he can scoot in and go to the toilet. He walked to the door and knocked harder than he had to, "Decent? I need to pee."

"Ah…Hang on a sec." The voice on the other side said.

Connor waited in frustration and when he heard it was ok, he dashed in.

Connor heard Andrea silently walk out, he wished he had sneaked a peak before the calling. I'm a man, he thought, it would have been good enough reason too.

He was glad he didn't though, as for some reason, it would have felt wrong to do that. Connor instead shrugged and thought about his morning smoke.

While he was having it, he noticed that he didn't have one all night the night before, he had actually forgotten to smoke…

Connor didn't know whether to get pissed off or to be quite proud of himself.

This girl is driving me banana's, he thought, totally dropping her when I know what the hell is going on. He pulled out a second smoke and lit it, he was going to make up for lost time...

Connor felt lucky that he had today off, to figure out what to do with this female that had started living in his house. She even had a shower here, does she know that the towel she used is something that I now have to wash!?

More work!

"Ok, so Andrea, how about we go straight to the chaser here and go to ‘Cameron’?"

It’d be great if she never comes back!

Andrea looked at him, observing, "Are you sure? I don't know if it'll work for you."

Connor took his shirt off, and started for the shower, "Might as well give it a shot hey." And closed the door.

Twenty minutes later, Connor made it out the front door to see Andrea stop dead in her tracks. "What is it?"

Andrea slowly looked at him, then back at the park across the road and laughed. "I was here, not long ago. I stopped near the park there…Ha, crazy stuff!"

You’re the one that’s crazy!

Connor sighed, wondering if this was a good thing or bad thing, "What do you mean you were here, what to find me?"

Andrea looked at him again, "No, I had a bad day, I got off a highway, drove a bit and came here. Where are we anyway?"

Connor laughed, "Newmarket."

Andrea looked uncertain, far away even, maybe a memory. It reminded him a bit about his sister and Connor did not want to go into any details about it…He hoped that Andrea would keep her thoughts to herself.

"Oh." Was all she said and quietly made her way to the car.

Connor watched her going to the driver's side but said nothing and passed her the keys. While she was unlocking the door, his mobile started to ring, he quickly got in when the passenger side was unlocked and picked up the phone. "Connor speaking, leave a message."

While Andrea was starting the car, he was waiting for someone to talk.

"Connor! What's this bullshit poem you left at your sister's place, what is this uh? How the hell is that supposed to help him sleep, treat him like a young man, not a baby! If he grows up to be a wuss, I'll know who to blame! Not happy Connor!" Bang!

Andrea spoke then, "Didn't sound like a nice phone call."

There was hardly ever a good phone call from his father…That was why he answered it by saying to leave a message!

Being ashamed that she had noticed that someone had obviously yelled at him, Connor could only come up with a snide comment, "What are you? My mother?"

He sighed, his father wasn't her problem, it was his, so he shrugged. "Where are we going?"

"Roma street Parklands, to the top of the mountain."

Silence filled the car, until they reached their destination. Connor nearly had a mental breakdown, seeing her driving his car. He blamed it on not being awake at the time he gave her the keys.

It had been a while that he wasn’t in charge when being on the road and he was damned if he was going to let her drive him around again anytime soon!

And even though she had told him where they were going, he wondered if it was a ploy, that maybe she would take him to a dirt road and shot him...Or...Slave trading...Mmm, maybe that wouldn't be so bad, I wonder how much money I’d be worth. I’m a stud, a handsome man that could easily get a boner...Hang on! What the hell am I saying!? Even if sex is involved, I’d be a slave!

He gave Andrea a quick once over, before thinking, yeah, I could take her out. No problem. Hell, that type of idea is probably more probable then this one…Where we’re going to see a ghost!

Man, I just want this over and done with so that I can get some booze, get some takeaway and go back home! Oh, and while I’m at it, I’ll leave this crazy chick behind!

But his strange thoughts only took him so far, as he soon got bored…

Once the car stopped, she gave him the keys and got out of the car, she seemed to be happy to be here.

Connor got out slowly and locked the car. Turning, he saw a female look alike to Andrea, on the bench, just sitting there. She was beautiful, like that from a dream, and Connor felt elated all of a sudden, making him want to run and do something silly. It wasn’t Andrea, right?

They looked…So alike! Oh, the pain of two Andrea’s…

To be honest, it was somewhat freaky but…Ah, she looked like an Angel!

Looking at Andrea, then the Andrea look alike, Connor didn't understand why he felt different for each of them. One drove him bat shit crazy and the other made him want to pull out all the stops to get her to notice him!

But, since waking up in the morning, Connor finally felt like something was going right for a change!

He smiled at her, the angel, even though she wasn't looking, and he started walking towards her.

Connor had to stand in front of this lovely female to get her attention, and even then, she looked like she was trying not to imagine a handsome man, at least that is what Connor thought about himself.

"Can you see, Connor?" A voice tripped into his head.

It took Connor a moment to understand it was Andrea's, who actually wasn't too far away, to his amazement he'd totally forgotten about her…

"Oh, I see…I see someone so lovely it breaks my heart." He said looking at the Andrea look alike. He had a satisfied, smug smile on his face.

Finally, the see-through twin was looking into his eyes, realizing that Connor was indeed looking at her.

"Hello." He said.

"Hello" The reply made him smile further.

"Connor, Cameron is right here." Andrea said.

The name Cameron did turn Connor's head, but he saw nothing, and returned his gaze to his beauty. "Names Connor, may I have yours?"

She smiled politely, "Amillia."

Connor thought the name was brilliant, that it matched her perfectly, he also remembered last night's conversation with Andrea. "I believe I know your sister, Andrea."

Amillia looked a bit stunned, "Connor, excuse me...What are you doing here in my room? And, I'm sorry, but I don't know who or what Andrea is…I have to go." Amillia starting to glow, it shocked Connor that hard that he fell off the bench.

"What the hell is going on here?" Connor couldn't help but yell, he wasn't ready to have ended that conversation yet, he didn't even try a pickup line!

He turned to see Andrea sitting on the grass with her hands in her lap, he walked up to her quite stealthily and caught on to what she was saying. "Totally! He seems to think that drinking is the answer to everything!"

Connor interrupted, "I do not! Are you talking to him, tell him to get Amillia back, she just glowed and disappeared!"

Stopping, Connor suddenly became aware that Cameron might also be real too…How big of chance would it be? Was there really a chance that he could see his brother again?

Andrea turned and got up from the grass and frantically looked around, "You saw her? How was she, was she good?"

Connor sighed and shrugged, and Andrea continued to rant, "Was she a spirit, or a transper, did you see her as a ghost, tell me Connor!" She was shaking him by the shoulders now.

Connor saw something out of the side of his eye and looked back to where Andrea was sitting before, and he could see…Cameron.

Cameron…

Cameron?

It was really him…

And as Connor looked at his brother, he seemed to think that he was looking right back at him too, and then he said, "You must be Connor."

Many flashes of memories went into Connor's head, stunning him into silence as he stared at Cameron.
