I observe the direction from which the missiles came. I see a girl with short white hair and blue eyes. “Tobiichi Origami, if I remember correctly,
she hates Spirits more than any other AST member who appears in the first season,” I notice the other AST members.
They seem confused; I think it’s because I’m the first male Spirit they’ve ever encountered.
I don’t think communication between us is possible, so I decide to ignore them for now and focus on something more important.
I don’t think they can break through the barrier. So I try using the powers that the Goddess gave me.
It’s important for me to know how to use them because I’ve seen that I can use Spirit powers instinctively.
“Don’t ignore me, Spirit.”
As I try to figure things out, I hear Origami’s voice followed by a sword strike against the barrier.
It doesn’t seem like much, but it’s hard to ignore when the sounds are interfering with my concentration.
I try to fly; it’s not too hard to lift off the ground, but it’s more difficult to choose a direction or control myself,
so I end up distancing myself from the AST and hitting a building.
Fortunately, it didn’t hurt. I look and see the hole I made, while the AST arrives above the building. It seems like the attacks have stopped;
I think it’s because they can’t just cause destruction without reason.
After all, since they don’t know anything about me, they can’t take reckless actions.
I think I understand how flying works, so I try again, this time with a bit of caution, while slowing down as I leave the building.
“Hello ladies, could you tell me why you’re attacking?” It’s not like I don’t already know, but I try to start a dialogue in some way.
Kusakabe seems a bit strange and disoriented. I think, “Curious.”
I’m ignored while the AST members back away, with only Origami advancing to attack.
“Sergeant-Major Tobiichi Origami, return to position,” I hear a voice shout. It seems to be Ryouko Kusakabe, the current AST commander.
She appears to be extremely cautious of me. I wonder why.
“But...” Origami retorts but ends up returning to position.
I feel like my perception of things is a bit off, as if I’m ignoring something right in front of me.
I try using my Spirit power and feel the world return to normal. “What was that?” Now that I’ve done this,
I notice I’m being bombarded while Kusakabe is speaking to Origami.
I feel my
**Change of POV:**
Currently, we are hovering over the area where a Spirit is about to appear. As the commander of the AST, I’m a bit worried about this Spirit.
Its energy levels are strange, and we don’t know who it is since it’s the first time it’s appeared.
Then the SpaceQuake happens, and there it is… A boy? I’m surprised by him since this is the first time I’ve seen a male Spirit.
When I’m about to give the order, Tobiichi Origami attacks.
“Tobiichi…” As I was about to reprimand Tobiichi for her recklessness, I feel the air grow heavy, my vision distorts,
and I feel a bit tired. It seems to have affected other AST members as well.
I look at the Spirit, which seems to be ignoring us. It was expected that the attack wouldn’t have much effect, but its indifference is somewhat unsettling.
Slowly, I begin to recover. It seems like the Spirit’s attack affected almost everyone in the AST. I see Origami advancing toward the Spirit with a sword.
“All those who can still fight, form up and encircle the Spirit. Those who can’t fight, fall back.”
Origami’s attack was useless, but it made the Spirit look at her. Now that I’m better, I notice the Spirit’s appearance.
He looks like a young man, around 17 to 18 years old, with black hair and golden eyes.
His Astral Clothing is black with gold and white details; it seems to be made of some sort of fabric with black metal plates.
But what’s strange is that it looks incomplete. I don’t see the Spirit’s
I see him take off and then he crashes into a building. He doesn’t seem to have much control over his speed.
“Everyone, encircle the perimeter of the building. Origami, don’t make any reckless moves.” I mention Origami because she always rushes in recklessly,
and this Spirit is clearly dangerous.
“Understood.”
“He’s leaving, everyone get ready,” I say loudly.
When he exits the building and moves a few meters away, I give the command.
“Fire.” He doesn’t seem to care about the attack, while he ignores the situation. Then he speaks.
“Hello ladies, could you tell me why you’re attacking?” His voice sounds beautiful, but for a moment, I feel unwell,
my vision trembles, and I feel chills throughout my body. I don’t know what he’s doing, but being close to him is clearly the problem.
“Get away from him.” As I move away, I feel a bit better, and I see Origami trying to attack again.
“Sergeant-Major Tobiichi Origami, return to position.”
“But…” She was going to retort but then gives up and returns to position. She doesn’t seem too well either. “I think she was affected too.”
We resume bombarding him with missiles and gunfire, and in an instant, everything returns to normal. I no longer feel unwell.
The Spirit seems more focused on his surroundings now.
I don’t know why he stopped the attack, but I have no reason to consider it a bad thing.
**Change of POV:**
Now that I realize, it seems like I used my Spirit ability, which appears to be some sort of mental attack that affects everything around me.
I don’t know the name of my
It apparently affects the perception of everything around me, including myself. With the AST, it seems they felt unwell in some way. For me, my reasoning changed to ignore what wasn’t necessary at the moment, making everything easier to comprehend.
I think that’s why I was able to fly without problems after the second attempt.
**BOOM**
It seems they’ve started bombing me again. Now that my ability is inactive, I notice several things I had ignored.
It seems I wasn’t even listening to what they were saying before.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.
“You seem much better now, little girl.” I say this to Origami, trying to irritate her.
Although it’s a simple provocation given her hatred for Spirits, I think it’s quite effective.
The provocation seems to work; she makes a face of anger but restrains herself from advancing in my direction.
I'm determined to provoke her further—I want to see how far I can push my defenses and test my powers.
If she comes at me with her sword, the other AST members won't be able to attack recklessly.
For now, I think I'll try to use my spirit powers. I'll leave the power of the Goddess for a more relaxed test later.
"Not even going to give me an answer? I might end up feeling sad," I say with a sarcastic tone.
"Or are you afraid to attack?" As soon as I finish speaking, she lunges with her sword.
"Shut up!" Her voice is filled with rage as she tries to strike me.
When the sword hits the barrier, I counter-attack, but she dodges backward. Meanwhile, my barrier is hit by missiles from behind.
"Looks like the AST commander isn't entirely bad."
She's supporting Origami while commanding. I got distracted looking back and didn't notice Origami coming at me from the front again.
I dodge to the side while trying to activate my power.
For a moment, Origami seems disoriented and stumbles forward.
I take advantage of the gap to advance and strike, but Kusakabe appears and protects her with her territory.
It seems that if I have a defined target, only that target is affected by my ability.
I step back and try to alter their perception of the environment. Nothing seems different. I try to advance for an attack,
but Origami flies up while Kusakabe flies and crashes into a building.
It seems her perception of her surroundings was impaired. But it looks like Origami wasn't affected this time.
With this, I think I understand how to use my power to some extent. "I see that my power isn't very focused on causing damage,
but it seems very useful for attacking or escaping." Combined with the Goddess's ability, it seems like a great combination.
I think this power might be some kind of mental attack, but I don't know the exact conditions or everything it can do.
I feel that this power is from my
Distracted by this thought, Origami approaches and strikes. Since I wasn't ready for the attack, the barrier is breached.
However, the attack itself is slow, at least in my view.
I easily dodge and strike back. She notices the attack and raises a territory to protect herself.
Her territory withstands my attack, but it forms several cracks. She retreats, and I'm met with a rain of bullets.
Great teamwork. Given how she disobeys orders, I expected her teamwork to be poor.
I feel like I've wasted enough time here, so I decide to escape while trying to hide my energy.
Using the perception shift to make it difficult to distinguish, I reduce it.
They’re now chasing me while shooting. I’ve never been much of a fighter, but with my new body and spirit instincts, I think I'm doing well.
I can make up for the lack of experience over time.
I turn around and kick the nearest one.
Apparently, it was Origami.
She raises a territory to protect herself. Striking the territory, I end up pushing her through the building.
Her territory doesn’t seem to have withstood the blow, and she got hit. However, a large part of the damage was absorbed by the territory before it broke.
I don’t know if she’s injured, and at the moment, I don’t care.
Going through the hole made by the attack, I turn in the building and fly low, making several turns between buildings.
I’m much faster than them, so escaping isn’t too difficult. It seems they’ve slowed down, probably due to Origami being hit.
I think I can hide my energy to some extent. I look for a place to hide. I’m now far enough that I can’t hear them anymore,
so I enter a random store and deactivate my Astral Outfit, turning it into a school uniform, which I based on my memories of Shido's uniform.
It seems not too difficult to do this; it just depends on imagining my clothes changing.
I find a bathroom to check myself out in the mirror since I want to see my new body.
Entering the store's bathroom, I look at my appearance. I’m an 18-year-old young man with short black hair and golden eyes.
I have fair skin and a somewhat indifferent face. Overall, I would be considered handsome.
My height seems to be around 1.80 meters, and I think the uniform looks good on me.
“Now I need to settle somewhere, get some money, learn more about my powers, and enroll in the same school as Shido.”
With some goals set for now, I decide to wait for people to return to the street so I can walk freely.

Meanwhile, on the Ratatoskr’s dirigible, the Fraxinus, the room is silent as they process the events.
A while ago, it was detected that a spirit would appear. Since it was a spirit they didn’t know, they paid special attention to gather as many details as possible.
However, what followed was something no one expected.
The Fraxinus commander, a girl around 13 years old with light red hair, tied with two black ribbons in a twin-tail style,
named Kotori Itsuka, is currently contemplating the situation while lightly nibbling on a lollipop.
“Commander, what should we do about this?” asks the Fraxinus’s vice-commander, Kyouhei Kannazuki.
It’s clear that the situation is serious when Kannazuki is not making any jokes about it.
Unfortunately for him, Kotori doesn’t know what to do. After all, it’s a new spirit that has brought an unexpected situation with it.
But she’s still the commander, so she has to give orders.
“Reine, check the data on this spirit so we can classify it,” she starts giving orders to the team.
After the command, Reine leaves the room.
“Kannazuki, along with the rest of the team, analyze the spirit’s actions and see how it was in relation to what was happening,”
Kotori commands, making the decisions she thinks are best in this situation.
“Meanwhile...”
**Change of POV:**
Reine Murasame leaves the room to carry out the task she was given. As she does, she reflects on the mysterious individual who appeared.
It was completely out of her plans; she doesn’t know him or where he came from.
“I wonder if this will become a problem...” Reine whispers, her voice betraying a lack of sleep.
As she contemplates this variable, she decides to first gather more information about this “Spirit.”
After all, it’s not something she can dismiss lightly.
**Change of POV:**
In the Fraxinus control room, Kotori is analyzing footage of the unknown Spirit's battle with the AST.
It’s noticeable that he seemed indifferent to everything around him at first, while the AST members appeared strange.
It was only when he started paying attention that they returned to normal.
“What do you think happened there?” Kotori asks the rest of the team.
“Commander, it seems like some kind of attack. Even though it's not visible on the camera, the Reiryoku levels change when the AST members act oddly,”
Kannazuki responds to his commander.
“I think it could be…”
At that moment, Reine enters the room with the results of her analysis.
“So, how did it go?” Kotori asks Reine.
“It didn’t yield much... Just that their energy signatures react strangely,” Reine says, a bit disappointed with the result.
After all, she didn’t get much from the recorded footage.
“If I had to speculate, I’d say the Spirit itself is interfering with the energy readings. It only spikes when he uses his abilities, but otherwise,
it keeps fluctuating, rising and falling.”
“So it’s not possible to determine his classification,” Kotori responds, thinking that this Spirit is going to be a lot of work.
“Not at the moment…”
“However, with more appearances, it might be possible to determine it to some extent,” Reine thinks about how the energy is fluctuating
and wonders if she should tell Kotori about the possibility that he might be a Reverse Spirit or in the process of becoming one.
But she decides to leave that for the future due to lack of information. It’s better not to make the situation even more complicated than it already is.
“Kannazuki, have you made any progress?” Kotori asks, hoping they have at least something to start planning.
“Yes, Commander.”
“At the moment he appeared until just before he was attacked, we could calculate his state. Then, when he was attacked, the meter stopped moving and fell.”
“It started working again when his attention returned. Unfortunately, that’s one of the few things we can get from the footage.”
“What are the chances of it being an error?”
“None, Commander,” Kannazuki replies. He might be a perverted masochist, but when the situation demands, he is reliable.
Kotori bites down on her lollipop, breaking it.
“However, it’s still too early to judge.” In the end, whether it is or not, it’s still a problematic Spirit as it’s the first of its kind,
Kotori thinks. “This is going to be a problem for Shido.”
For now, all Kotori can do is wait for it to appear again due to the lack of data on the said Spirit. “We can’t even give it a Codename.” Kotori thinks.
“For now, we’ll call this Spirit
“Okay, everyone gather the data we have, and any new information you find should be reported.”
Meanwhile, in a completely white corridor, a beautiful girl with short white hair walks, talking to her colleague.
They both have a unique aura; the girl’s can be described as the calm of a beautiful summer day.
Her colleague’s aura is more powerful, with a touch of danger combined with laziness.
“Hey, I was reviewing the report on that world humanity ended.”
“And I noticed that there seems to be a missing soul...” the girl with white hair says to her companion, her voice sounding somewhat nervous.
“I’m sure it’s nothing. There are billions of souls; it could just be an error. Those are pretty common,”
replies a man who could be described as around 25 years old with simple black hair and a face that seems carefree.
“Really? I think it would be good to check it out, just in case it’s not an error.”
“Okay... okay, we can look into it later. I’m sure it’s nothing.”
Thus ends the conversation between the two as they quicken their pace to reach somewhere through the white corridor.
