* Chp.4 Am I really from Earth?

The angry dragon starts charging its beam towards me while I stay flat on the ground, terrified.

Suddenly it stops, sniffs something in the air.

Something caught her attention.

“Why is there a sweet smell coming from you, Human ? ” said the dragon.

“ Sweet smell? What sweet sme-” just then I remembered that I had a candy in my right pocket.

I immediately removed the candy from my pocket and swayed it side to side in front of the dragon, “Here it's coming from this. ”

The dragon's eyes lit up. “That looks delicious”, she said.

“ Mhm... It is reaaally delicious ”, I tried to lure the dragon while still swinging it side to side.

“ We will punish you!….but after we taste that sweet thing in your hand”, she said as she returned back to her cute little girl form.

I gave her the candy, she sniffed it and immediately put it in her tiny mouth.

After a few seconds of silence...

“ Uwaaa !! This is so good! Where did you find this human? Tell us, We want more! ”

“ Plan successful ! ” I thought to myself before replying to the girl.

“ I would tell you where I found it buuuuut...”

“But What? ”, the little girl demanded an answer.

“But only If you promise not to kill me or hurt me”

“Tch… Okay fine” She said in an adorable voice after a few seconds of mumbling to herself.

I breathed a sigh of relief. “Hush…. at least I'm safe now.”

After which I heard her adorable squeak again “ Hey! Now answer me! Where did you find this?”

“Ahhhhhhh…. I made it ”, I said.

“ Whaaaaat!! You made it yourself ! ” the dragon loli exclaimed in excitement.

I used to work part-time at a local candy shop. So I know how to make a couple of sweets.

“Can u make it again?” She looked at me with her big eyes with an innocent look.

“This is the same dragon who tried to kill me before.” I thought to myself as I looked at her making an innocent face.

Speaking of which, a lot of weird things happened to me . I just went out to buy some snacks to eat. Then I see my past self. Some weird ball of light sends me to this world. Not only that but it sent me hundreds of feet above the ground. That bastard, What was that thing anyway? And now this little girl who can turn into a dragon or maybe it's the other way around…. Who knows? Either way I'm glad she has a taste for sweets.

“ Oye!! Stop ignoring us ” I heard a cute annoyed scream. “What are you thinking all by yourself ? I asked whether you can make sweets for us again or not ?”

“Ahh.. Yea of course I can but I'll need the ingredients for it”

“ What ingredients? " she asked me.

“Hmm…I'm not sure if they are available in your world”

“ Wait? Huh!! You are not from this world! How did you come here? ”

“ About that… Im not sure myself how I ended up here. You are a goddess, aren't you? Do you know of any weird magical light ball who sends people to this world and talks like a robot? ”

The girls thinks for a while and replies.

“In our hundreds of years of life we haven't ever heard of any thing like that, also what is this robot you speak of”

“ I guess you don't know huh. ” I sighed while ignoring her question about robots,I didn't have any patience to explain that to her right now.

“ Though…. We had heard from mother that humans used to summon heros from a different world but we think that is a thing from the past now.

“ Summoned!! No I was not summoned by anyone! Instead I was transported here all of a sudden that too in the sky. Which is why I crashed into your shrine thing. ”

“ Speaking of which that spirit you have in you is quite the formidable one. It broke your fall from such an height. What is that spirits name?” she asked while looking impressed.

“ Spirit what? ” I exclaimed being suprised.

Wait!! I almost forgot about that red aura and those claws! Was that the spirit she speaks of.

“ Tell me what these spirits are. ” I asked her.

“What? You possess a spirit and you don't even know what it is.” the girl laughed at me.

“Of course I don't know! I am from a different world, remember? ”

“But even if you are from a different world, spirits Inhabit bodies of humans right from their birth. You even have a spirit mark on the back of your neck.” she said.

“Spirit mark? No that's a birth mar-” I looked into the reflection of the lake as I saw my birth mark glowing in the same red colour as that aura from before.

“ What!! How is this possible! ”

“Why are you so surprised”, she said. “Spirit marks are a proof that humans born with them posses a spirit.”

I was astonished. I had that birtmark for as long as I remember but it never ever glowed not even once before. Many people thought it was a tattoo as it resembled a lions face a little. How do I have it in the first place? I am not from this world, I was born on earth. Then why do I have this so called spirit mark.

These thoughts stormed through my head as I was thinking about this wierd phenomenon. But then. A devastating question came into my mind…..

“ Am I….. really from Earth? ”
