“Vulcan.” He always had issues coming up with names for his characters, so he was very happy to hear that Royal Road allowed multiple users to use the same name- even if a lot of people would start to use generic names like Shadow. Maybe this name, originating from the roman pantheon, would not be beaten to the death or worse, hacked apart by adding x's or numbers like it had become common in the gaming world.

Royal Road has forty-nine races. You may select your race from the primary twenty-nine races and their unlocked specific subraces.

Currently available due to discoveries from players are: Wood Elves, Light Elves, Moon Elves and Desert Elves.
Desert Elf? That was not in the book...I think this might actually be a newly discovered race. Too bad I was not in the first wave, but maybe this actually helps me. The forums did say that someone who discovered a subrace would have to undergo penalties in order to convert. I should be amongst the first few to choose that subrace. “What are the features of the desert elves?”

Desert Elves start off with an increased resistance and affinity towards fire and earth. They are slightly yellow looking with typically black hair and dark iris colors.
That actually seems perfect for me. "Please show me how I would look as a desert elf with no modifications."
Slightly surprised, he let out a small gasp. In the current lighting, he saw himself with a slightly golden skin tone, almost as if the avatar in front of him was shining from within. Medium length black hair gently swayed in a nonexistent breeze, while dark, almost black, brown eyes looked past him into the distance.
