After escaping from Dulvine, Kuri and Hazel have been traveling for quite some time. This day they landed on the topic of what Kuri’s plans were.
“So, after practically kidnapping me, what do you plan on doing?” Hazel asked.
"…You’re really not letting that go huh… We’re stopping by a home of mine... of sorts." Kuri said.
"A home? You have multiple?" she said shockingly.
"Let's not dive into details, its more like a base of operations” he said.
“Alright, so mind telling me why exactly you brought me along?” she asked.
“Because leaving you in Dulvine would’ve most likely led to your death, most of the revolutionaries left Dulvine as per my instruction and Muuri said he was going to take care of things so soon enough you’ll be able to go back.” He said.
“Are you sure you didn’t just take a liking to me???” she said while smiling.
“Nope… No feelings what’s so ever.” He said bluntly.
She sat back in her seat, crossing her arms and pouting. As she sat back she took notice to the fact that he was still wearing that scarf she first seen him with.
"So, do you still not want to tell me what happened to your eye?" she asked him while reaching for his scarf.
Kuri moves away from her before saying, " You'll find out soon enough. So, where do you come from Hazel?”
“Is it that obvious that I’m not from a big city like Dulvine.” She said.
“Yeah, I know someone from the country who tries their hardest to hide their accent, although she’s kinda bad at it, your worse.” He said.
Hazel slapped him on the back of the head. “RUDE! But you aren’t wrong, I’m from the city of Bellstruck it’s-” she says.
“Ah I’ve been there before; around this time of year, they should be getting ready to start growing wheat, right?” he said.
“HUH?!” Hazel said surprised. “Bellstruck isn’t a city that is often visited… No one ever really goes there, the only time there are visitors it’s for crop sales… But you even know the crop rotation?!”
As she prodded him to tell her more about what he knows about Bellstruck, he changed the subject.
“It’s not uncommon for me to know things like that though, I often move around a lot, I used to be a travelling merchant.” He said.
“REALLY? Where else have you been!?” she said. “There are so many places I want to visit, I heard there are some really pretty sites all over both kingdoms. I wish there wasn’t a war going on so I could visit.”
“Where did you hear that from?” He asked.
“Well… It’s supposed to be a secret but since you helped the revolutionaries in the first place, you aren’t exactly in the good graces of the Demon Kingdom I assume” She said. “The Revolutionaries that you fought with weren’t only fighting for the good of the town, but they are also apart of a grander revolution.”
“So they are fighting for peace between both kingdoms?” Kuri asked.
“Yup, although this war was started long, long, ago by our ancestors, there was once a time where angels and demons lived together...” She said. “while I don’t know about living together I do wish for a time where we could simply reside alongside each other.”
Kuri simply nods his head as Hazel spoke. But soon he asked her to quiet down because he notices 2 figures to his left coming up to the crossroads they were about to pass. Almost at the same time, Hazel pointed out figures coming towards them, not too far off in front of them.
"Isn't it unusual for humans to travel in such small groups?" Hazel asked. “They are also on foot… so maybe they aren’t humans.
Kuri looks up into the air and thinks. At the rate they were traveling they should be either just entering the remaining human territory or on the demon territory border. As Hazel keep calling his name, Kuri snaps back and instructs her to head to the back of the carriage.
“It is… Which makes me think they aren’t human... Put this on.” he said while he handed her a cloak.
“Do you think they’re pursuers?!” she asked.
“I doubt it… But… There is no way to know for sure… better to be safe than sorry” he said.
He had a bad feeling about all of this. As Hazel made her way into the back of the carriage, Kuri took off his usual scarf and grabbed a hood and a much blander scarf from beside him. As he finished putting the things on, he tells Hazel to sit toward the back of the carriage and not to make a sound and try to not move at all. Kuri makes it to the crossroads first, he pulls over to the side and starts to pretend to work on his carriage. He feeds the horses and while his back is turned, the two other groups who were walking the crossroads finally meet and laid eyes on each other. Kuri slightly turned back to see if anything had happened yet. Nothing had taken place yet, but the tension between the two parties was palpable.
A woman from one of the groups is dawning a bow and draws it as she realizes who is in front of her and says "What are a pair of filthy angels doing here?"
While her companion immediately reels back and tries to deescalate the situation, a man from the other party replies to her comment.
"Filthy? A demon has no room to talk"
The man also draws his weapon in preparation for a fight. However, his companion then tries to calm him down. After some convincing they do so, putting away their weapons and agreeing to briefly talk before heading their own ways. The man beside the bow-wielding woman speaks up.
"I apologize. While personally, I have no problems with your kind, you do understand the tension, right?"
The woman besides the hook-sword wielding man speaks up in response to the other man.
"I understand, however, my partner has a vendetta against the demons, so please understand"
The two of them seemed to have diffused the situation. After introducing themselves, Mizuni and Ryuu being demons. While Yujo and Sora are angels. Each party apologies and as they talk and tension starts to die down, Mizuni notices Kuri trying to turn his carriage around. She shoots an arrow at him, purposefully missing and striking a wooden beam near his head.
"Whyr' you bothering a human? " Ryuu said.
"I'm tired of walking, carriages are faster. " Mizuni said.
“Regardless there was a better way of getting their attention, no?” Yujo said.
“A better way? Maybe but I was nowhere near hitting him so it’s fine” Mizuni said.
“I don’t think that’s fine Mizuni” Ryuu said.
“Where are you guys headed anyway?” Sora asked.
“Ah well we were just kinda following the road. Our goals are loosely connected, so we were kinda just going to keep adventuring until they were either completed or they no longer aligned.” said Ryuu
“... To be completely honest, I was just going to walk to the nearest town and then leave him alone.” said Mizuni
As Ryuu laughed at Mizuni’s comments he asked Yujo and Sora the same question.
“As for me, I’m looking for a somebody, so I was going to venture around with Yujo here until I found a lead or something similar.” Sora said.
“I’m looking for leads on a person myself. So I was hoping she could help.” Yujo said.
“So in short, neither group has an actual destination...” Said Mizuni.
“Then how about we just travel together?” Ryuu said.
The entire group was shocked by his offer. But eventually they gave in to it seeing as that they were in kinda the middle of nowhere. With that said, Sora waved over to Kuri. Kuri stops the carriage and pulls it closer to the group. While they talk he goes to the back of the carriage and motions to Hazel that everything is alright.
“Ah- , before we travel together I feel the need to put aside any differences we may have.” Sora said. "So let's keep this short," Sora said while sitting near the loan tree near the crossroad. "Besides myself and Ryuu," she says while pointing to Mizuni and Yujo, who are strongly glaring at each other. "it seems the soul encounters you've had with the other side have been bad."
"Bad?" Mizuni scoffs. "I’ve seen angels absolutely destroyed a human villages. Even if they have no affiliation to either side, they couldn't defend themselves. Bad is an understatement".
"Well—" Yujo begins to say before being cut off by Sora, "I hate hearing stories like that... It happens too often... I do apologize although that doesn't mean much."
"However much I do despise angels, I will admit that demons have also done some heinous things..." Mizuni whispered.
"Yeah... tell me about it," Yujo says.
After talking for a little more and mending their first impressions of each other, they begin to wrap up the conversation and start heading towards the carriage. With that conclusion, Kuri gets back in front and gets ready to set off. Mizuni fires another arrow at him and begins to bombard him with questions about why he's being so brazen when normally humans are rather timid and scared around demons and angels. While walking toward him, she hears a faint noise coming from the carriage and so she slaps the ground and tree roots from the ground and pierce the back of the marriage but the moment the roots come up, Kuri moves to go save Hazel and while he was doing that he created a dust cloud to cover his tracks.
"WHATS THAT FOR?!" Ryu yelled.
"Heard somethin," Mizuni says calmly.
"And so, you decide to fill it with holes." Yujo said.
After the dust clears, they notice that Kuri was missing. As they look around for Kuri, they notice pieces of cloth falling from the sky. Eventually they heard a noise come from behind the carriage. He reveals himself and Hazel standing behind him hiding.
“Not only did you ruin the ride you wanted to badly but you also almost killed a girl!” Yujo said.
Mizuni scoffed. “Well I know atleast that he’s not human… there is no way even the ‘Heros’ could be that fast” she said.
Kuri turns to Hazel and whispers something. Soon after she start speaking. As they looked around, Kuri held Hazel in his arms on the other side of the carriage he backed away from the carriage and revealed himself. He put Hazel down who scurried behind him and shut her eyes.
"Not only did you ruin the back of the carriage, you almost killed a girl." Yujo said.
"Shut up" Mizuni said. "Anyway, who are you...? There's no way you can be a Human... Even the ones they deem Heroes can’t move that fast."
Kuri turned around to Hazel, whispering something in her ear.
"He—, He says to follow him, " she says. "But— Before you do, grab the extra coats that were in the back of the carriage and put them on."
the coats she were referring to were the ones that fell from the sky and was no riddled with holes. They all look at him and Hazel confused but decide to go with the plan. Mizuni tosses them all coats and they all put them on.
“This is very suspicious don’t you think” Ryuu said. While grabbing and putting on a cloak.
“It is very, but there not much two people can do against four.” Sora said.
“Well maybe he’s leading us to a trap.” Yujo said.
“If the trap is anywhere near here, it won’t be of much use.” said Mizuni.
After everyone puts on the cloaks and finish talking about the current situation they start walking. And almost immediately Mizuni began complaining and Yujo constantly told her to shut up but besides that, their walk is quite lax. That was until, a small village came into view.
"Where are you leading us..." Yujo said.
"Don't worry, we won't be going any closer" Hazel says as Kuri takes a sharp left turn into foliage.
Before they can continue traveling however nightfall comes and so they decide to set up a small camping site much to Kuri's displeasure.
“Don’t try anything funny. You’ll die otherwise” Yujo said.
Kuri notions that he would never.
“No matter how much you insist that you won’t… The fact that you won’t speak to us using your own voice is concerning.” Sora said.
Kuri sits there for a second and then leans over to Hazel whispering in her ear. She looks at him, concerned. He simply nods. She then takes off her hood and greets them.
“While I can’t give you my name quite yet, it is nice to meet you all.” she says as she bows. “This person here helped me during dire times and even saved my life, but you see. During this, his neck was gravely injured. It’s a miracle he’s alive even. But because of this injury, he can’t speak very loudly. I hope you understand” She says as she once again bows.
“ah… my mistake” Yujo said.
Kuri notions that its fine and he shouldn’t worry about it.
“Now that ya’-- you guys are done talking, lets work out the sleeping schedule.” said Mizuni.
Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
They all agreed, soon deciding that the first shift should be Sora and Ryuu on guard. While the others slept. Sora, Ryuu, Kuri and Hazel sat around the fire together.
“So Sora, who’s this person you’re looking for?” Ryuu asked.
“Ah… Well, he can be a bit of an airhead at times, I haven’t known him for long but he kinda just showed up one day and taught me a lot of things. So I want to find him and learn more from him to accomplish my dreams.” She said.
“If you don’t mind me asking what’s your dream” Hazel asked.
“I doubt that a human would know what it is, but Ryuu, I’m sure you heard at least rumors of it. But my dream is to become the next Holy Priestess.” She said.
“Wow… I guess in a way your dream is something like mine!” Ryuu exclaimed.
“What is your dream Ryuu?” Sora asked.
“Mine?… It’s quite simple, actually, I want to be the strongest there ever is!” He said loudly.
”Oi, Shut up” Mizuni said.
”Sorry Sorry” Ryuu said queitly.
Sora and Ryuu laughed quietly while Hazel looked at Kuri, he was smiling and so she snickered herself.
“How about you, mysterious lady? What is your dream.” Ryuu said.
“My dream… I don’t really have one, but I do wish to travel the world.” she said.
“Interesting… I hope one day you can accomplish it.” Sora said while smiling.
Hazel leaped up and gave Sora a hug, as they laughed Mizuni once again woke up.
“Ah, Sorry Mizuni!” Sora said.
“Don’t mention it. I just happened to wake up” she said.
“Mizuni… what is your dream? Of course you don’t have to-” said Hazel before Mizuni cut her off.
“To protect my family” she said cutting off Hazel.
They continued to talk late into the night to early the next morning. Upon day rise, they continue moving. Shortly after arriving at a large old house. Kuri give a thumbs up to the group. Which meant they had arrived at where he wanted to take them. He whispered to Hazel again and she told them that will have to follow him inside, they are going to discuss things in there.
Sora and Mizuni interject before they can go any further they insist on checking the surrounding area to make sure that this isn't a trap and so they set off, leaving Ryuu and Yujo with the job of ensuring that Hazel and Kuri didn't go anywhere. As they are waiting for the girls to return, Kuri decides to set down Hazel. Yujo and Ryuu start to question him on many things, like why he's traveling with that girl and other miscellaneous things . Kuri answers none of their questions, only writing while waiting on the ground in front of them spelling out, “dumb and dumber, Stupid and Stupider” and other insults. Sora and Mizuni then return to see Yujo and Ryuu tying Kuri up for not answering their questions.
"Ah your back… So is everything okay?" Ryuu said.
"...Nothing in the surrounding area, just a spring not too far from here." Sora said.
"So shall we head inside?" Yujo said.
"Untie me you ass" Kuri said in a lower tone than usual.
As they untied him and walked into the house, which seemed to be kept in very good conduction for the most part. He directs them to a room with a large round table and 10 chairs. While they entered the room Kuri moved sporadically around the house, making sure to fully check the house and make sure nothing had been moved. The way in which he did it elicited laughter out of the group. Once he entered the room, he took the chair at the helm of the table.
“So why bring us all this way.” Mizuni asked. “You are still at a number deficit, so there is no way you plan on fighting us… did you really bring us all the way here just to talk to us?” Mizuni asked.
He simply nods and then put his hands on his chin for sometimes. They begin to bombard him with questions and as they pile on questions he slowly starts releasing more and more mana into the rooms, something everyone there can feel. Sora managed to get out her seat before Mizuni sprouted roots from her surroundings stopping her , Ryuu and Yujo from attacking him.
“WHY ARE YOU STOPPING ME?!” Sora yelled. “YOU FELT THAT TOO RIGHT”
“YEAH MIZUNI, WHAT’S GOING ON!?” Yujo yelled.
“ALL OF YOU SHUT THE HELL UP AND SIT DOWN.” Mizuni said as she brought tree roots from around the house through the floor and tied them down to their seats.
They all quiet down. Hazel was confused from all of this but then Mizuni began to speak again.
“You mean to tell me… this entire time… it was you?..” Mizuni asked.
“WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT! ALSO LET ME GO!” Ryuu yelled.
“I AGREE LET US GO, WERE YOU TWO IN CAHOOTS THIS ENTIRE TIME?!” Yujo yelled.
“WILL YOU BOTH SHUT UP!” Mizuni yelled back.
Mizuni then turns back to look at Kuri.
“Speak” she says sternly.
“Can’t you ever let me have fun?!” Kuri says.
The entire group looks over to Kuri, it seems like they recognize the voice. Hazel sits down and slumps in her chair.
“WAIT SPEAK AGAIN!” Yujo yells.
“I’D UNDERSTAND YUJO KNOWING HIM BUT MIZUNI?” Sora asked confused.
“WAIT HE ALSO SOUNDS FAMILIAR TO YOU GUYS?!” Ryuu asks.
“YOU ASWELL?!” Yujo and Sora say.
Mizuni starts laughing. They turn back from Kuri and look at her. Before she could say another word though, Kuri stands up and give them all a deep bow.
“First I’d like to apologize for deceiving all of you” he says.
Then he picks his head up and as he does, Mizuni starts to undo her bindings on the others. He pulls the scarf from his eyes and takes off the hood revealing his face to everyone and for the first time both eyes. The group including Hazel was shocked. In one eye, the crescent moon, the symbol of the demons. In the other, a star, the symbol of the angels. The group sat there in silence.
“So… your the hybrid…” Yujo says. “That’s… that’s—”
“AMAZING” Ryuu says as he leaps out of his chair. He starts to launch a flurry of questions to Kuri and Hazel joins in asking just how far he’s traveled.
Sora and Yujo sit there in silence for sometime before Mizuni comes over to them, tapping them on their shoulder.
“I’m sure he’s the same Kuri you met whenever you met him… He had his reasons to not tell us… so can you really blame him…” she said.
As Kuri answered Hazel and Ryuu questions, Mizuni joined in by giving him punching him a few times and berating him for not telling her sooner. Yujo and Sora collected their thoughts before also joining them. As the more light heart questions died down Yujo decided to ask something heavier.
“So why show us… Why reveal your identity to us…” he asked.
Kuri stood silent for a second. Before he could speak, Mizuni took over.
“Do you see who your around? Angels and Demons. It’s a crime for us to not be fighting right now” she says.
“True… but… forget it” he says.
Kuri clears his throat. “The reasons I revealed my identity is because I wanted to ask you guys a favor… It was going to need to happen at some point…” he says.
“This would be the best time. Honestly you are a very lucky person. All of this just so happen to fall right into your lap” Sora said.
“Yeah, I can’t imagine the hassle it would be to convince us to meet an angel or convincing them to meet a demon” Ryuu said as he laughed.
“So what exactly is this favor you wanted to ask us…” Yujo says sternly.
Mizuni smacks him on his head with a tree root. “Be nice”
“Nice? I have not idea how all of you are taking this so well” he says. “I mean… I get it, we’ve all had our past with him, but he lied to us for however long you’ve known him… Doesn’t that bother you?!”
Before Kuri could say something Sora speaks up.
“While it did bother me at the start… If he told us when he first met us… he’d only be putting himself in danger as well as us as well. There is a motion to kill him on sight after all. Not to mention anyone who aligns with him… So… in a way, he was looking out for us… once we agreed at that crossroad to talk and not fight each other… to the rest of our respective kingdoms we are traitors!” she says.
“Besides, atleast for me atleast, no matter who he turned out to be, he’s like a brother to me, he’s helped me a lot!” Ryuu said.
Mizuni smugly nodded at Yujo. He looked towards Hazel.
“Ah… I’m sorry, I agree with them. Though I’m sure I haven’t known him for as long as you all have” she says.
Yujo throws his arms in the air in defeat. Mizuni laughs under her breath and Kuri begins speaking again.
“Thank you… Seriously…” he says. He then slams the table, “ ANYWAY— the favor… I want you guys to help me end this war”
The room fell silent.
.
.
“Sure.. Why not” Mizuni says.
.
.
“WHAT!” Sora and Yujo yell together.
Mizuni is shocked by their protest.
“I.. owe him a lot… besides I have some grudges against the demon kingdom myself” she explains.
“I can’t say I’m 100% percent in yet but I will help how I can!” Ryuu says. “I’m well my village isn’t liked by the current demon king and my goal is to be the strongest in the world so ending this war will fast track my progress!”
Mizuni is shocked by Ryuu statement about not being on good terms with the demon kingdom and so they start their own side conversation as Sora and Yujo look on shocked. Kuri moves over to them.
“You two don’t have to feel pressured, those two are special cases” Kuri said.
Sora look at Yujo and simply waited for him to answer first.
“I’ll join you…” Yujo says.
“I will too then!” Sora says.
Kuri clasps his hands together and gets the attention of Ryuu and Mizuni aswell as Hazel who got dragged into their conversation.
“ALRIGHT! Thank you all—” he began to say.
“Wait what about her?” Mizuni asks.
“Ah right… let’s formally greet each other! Hazel you first!” Kuri says.
She looked nervous at first but she collects herself and speaks. “HellO!… Hello, I am Hazel Sao, A demon and a revolutionary”
Sora and Ryuu clap for Hazel as she bows to greet them.
“Wait a revolutionary? So you are fighting for the peace between kingdoms?” Yujo asked.
“Well… I am not a fighter but I am in a way fighting for that peace” she says.
Yujo nods and Kuri points to Ryuu for him to introduce himself.
“As you know my name is Ryuu! Ryuu Takayuki! My goal is to be the strongest in the world! The first step is to be the strongest in the Demon Kingdom!” he says.
“Like the Grim Reaper?” Sora asked.
“YEAH! I looked up to him! He was so strong, they say his only match was the Holy Priestess!” He said.
“I’ve heard the same! Ah! Sorry! My name is Sora Hawai! My goal is to be the next Holy Priestess!” she says.
As Sora and Ryuu talk further about the Grim Reaper of the Demon Kingdom and the Holy Priestess of the Angel Kingdom Yujo interrupts them.
“I am Yujo Sandoithci, I’m not trying to do anything as grand as you lot, I’m just trying to find my brother…” he says.
“Is that why you hate demons..?” Mizuni asks.
“yeah… it is” he replies.
“We’ll find him” she says. “My name is Mizuni Tachibani, I… do contract work”
Kuri looks like he was about to speak but Mizuni shut him up before he could.
“We all know who you are, Tell us your plan for this grand idea”
"I'm glad you asked." Kuri said before pausing for a long time.
"Well?" said Ryuu.
"Don't tell me you don't actually have a plan, idiot," said Mizuni.
Another long silence falls in the room.
"Listen... I would love to tell you my plan, but for a few reasons I think you should just trust me for now." Kuri said.
They all look at him. Yujo seemed to be about to voice his displeasure with what he just heard but Mizuni speaks before him.
"And how sure are you that this plan is going to work?" she says.
"You can't seriously be trusting him... I would like to at least hear the plan before trusting him with my life like this." Yujo said.
"I have to agree with Yujo here, I would love to help you do this but without even the slightest plans... even though we did originally agree... Now I think it's best for us to go our separate ways." Ryuu added.
"I second that," Sora said. "Without knowing what you're actually planning it's hard to say that I'm ready to risk my life."
As these points were made, a sour face grew on Kuri's face. It saddened him with every point made because he knew that they were right.
"Even if he didn't have a plan, I'd still go along with him," Mizuni suddenly said. "It's just as you said Yujo, he has done something for each of us in the past, I owe him the lives of my family and more. So even without a plan, I'd follow him…"
"Enough" Kuri said, he finally broke his silence. The tension in the room had gotten far out of his grasp and he needed to reel it back in. " I plan to stage a revolt in both Kingdoms at the same time. Collapse them from the inside. With them weakened, take over and end this needless war."
"And why couldn't you say that originally..." said Yujo.
"Because that's only one part of my plan..." he said. "If you honestly think that a simple revolt, even if it involved half of each Kingdom, would be enough to topple the higher ups, this would have happened long ago…"
"We—" Yujo began to say.
"I will make you an offer. You and the others can shadow me... Watch how I work. Watch how pieces of my plan come together. Watch the things I put in motion." Kuri said. "I know this isn't easy for any of you. However, excluding for Sora, this is probably the best thing you could do to accomplish your goals."
"HA! I'm not the same person you saved some time ago, I've got my own leads and potential locations on where he could be." Yujo said.
"And how do you plan to act on those leads? Alone? The demon that took him was weak, if you go charging into random places, they're gonna think that you're me. Especially if you are trying to hide your identity. If they believe you are me... They won't send someone of that level. The reason I stopped doing raids is because they've upped the security—" Kuri said.
"TO HELL WITH THAT. I CAN HANDLE WHATEVER YOU CAN" said Yujo.
"Do you honestly believe that?" Kuri said calmly.
Yujo stood
"Yes I do." Yujo said.
"Very well, try it then" said Kuri. "You almost certainly won't live to tell us how that goes for you. So why not try sparring with me first."
Yujo grabs his sword and walks towards the exit, Kuri leaves behind the weapons he brought with him and follows behind Yujo. The other hurried behind them, worried about the outcome of the fight.
"Aim to kill" Kuri said. “Otherwise you might end up dead…”
Yujo said nothing, charging in and striking at Kuri multiple times. Kuri dodges all of them, while ducking under one of the strikes, he places his hand on Yujo's stomach and a gust of wind blasts him away into a tree. Yujo dropped his blade once he hit the tree. Kuri rushes over and takes it, placing it at his neck. Before anything else had a chance of happening, both Sora and Ryuu rushed over. Ryuu placed his blade near Kuri's neck and Sora protected Yujo with her body.
"Calm down," Kuri said. "I have no intention of killing him"
Kuri drops the sword and walks away from them.
"Ryuu, you know how to use [ Recovery ] right?" Kuri asked.
"Somewhat" He said.
"I can use it well," Said Sora.
"Let Ryuu do it. They have the same affinity," Kuri said.
Kuri tossed the sword and started to walk away from Yujo for a moment.
While Ryuu helped Yujo recover, Sora ran over to Kuri, hitting him in the head before scolding him. Kuri pays no mind to it, after "listening" to Sora's lecture, he walks over to Yujo, he seats himself in front of him.
"Do you understand where I'm coming from now?" he asked.
"Whatever" Yujo said.
Kuri sighed and placed his hand on Yujo's shoulder, chanting something before pulling his hand back. He got back up and Yujo would jump up after him, much to Ryuu's surprise. Kuri called everyone back into the house and they all once again sat at the table.
“For now… I want you all to train… I have to get somethings together and then we’ll get started…” Kuri said.
“We can’t even start right away?” Yujo asked.
“Well I was planning on telling you all to meet me here and giving you all those coats but as you can see they all have holes in them now” Kuri said.
Everyone looked at Mizuni.
“HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW” she yelled.
“So while I get those things, this is what I want to happen. Mizuni and Yujo, train the rest of them how to perform stealth task and teach them how real combat feels like. On the other hand. Sora train them in hand to hand. You can leave Mizuni out of it… she’s almost at your level. Ryuu teach Yujo and Hazel your swordsmanship” He said.
Although there was a little push back by Yujo insisting that he could hold his own Kuri simply ignored him and headed toward the door. His final words were that Mizuni was in charge and he left. They wouldn’t see him for months.
