And I don’t really get what my other two abilities do.
Welp, I should probably find that out now.
[Create Life] costs way too much for me by regular means, but thankfully I can use plants and animals instead of mana.
I walk up to a tree, and place my hand on it, concentrating.
“Create Life!”

I run towards the closest tree, and place my hand on it.
“Manipulate Life!” I shouted
Instantly, knowledge flooded my head. Life. Cells. Knowledge about things I couldn’t possibly know floods my head. Everything about life. How to manipulate it. What it is, what it is made out of, how it works.

For a few minutes, I just sat there. Soaking everything in. My whole world just got so much bigger. Now, every time I look at a tree, I don’t just see a tree. I see the intricacies of the tree. Every cell, every chemical reaction. I understand everything about it.
I walk up to another tree.
“Create Life. Manipulate Life”
The tree was consumed, and a seed was placed in my outstretched hand.
[Spark of Life] has been consumed.

I dug a little hole, a couple inches thick and put the seed in. After that, I repeatedly spit on the seed to help it grow.
Well this seems inefficient.
After a couple more minutes, I created a [Fountain Mushroom Seed], buried it, and watered it.

A quick check of my mana pool showed that I had 8/620 mana, so I used my remaining amount to help grow my [Mana Flower], and I could see a little piece of green peeking out from the earth. With nothing else to do, I fall asleep.
When I woke up, I saw that it was already midday. I slept for awhile.
Falling asleep here out in the open was pretty stupid of me. While monsters rarely wandered this far into the kingdom, there were plenty of dangerous animals that probably would have eaten me in my sleep.

Looking over at my plants, I noticed that neither of them have grown yet. Not that it’s too surprising, it should take about a week for the Mana flower to grow, and a couple weeks to a month for the Mushroom Flower to grow.
Deciding to speed things up, I spent 600 mana on the [Mana Flower], Thinking it would be a good investment.
When it bloomed, I got a good look at it. A silver stem, with six silver petals, and six seeds in the center.

The [Mana Flower] consumes mana from the air,
infusing the [Mana Flower] with pure mana.
When the petals turn blue, you may consume
them to recover 200 mana each over ten seconds.
If you consume the stem while it is blue, you recover
1000 mana over 30 seconds.
It takes several days for the petals to turn blue,
and a week for the stem to turn blue.
plucked petals will regrow after a few days,
and that petal will not be consuming mana while
it is regrowing.
(2-4 days for a plucked petal to regrow and turn blue)
Seeds regrow after a week.
Cool.
I want to try this out, but it’ll take a while for the petals to grow.
Ah, well.
I carefully took the seeds out, and planted them around the small clearing I was creating from my ability.
I then used my powers to create a dozen more [Mana Flower Seeds], and also plant those.
Thinking back to when I woke up, I should really create something to guard me. But, I need it to be smart. So far, I’ve only created basic things.
I really feel bad about cutting down all of these trees. I should make... Hmm...
I’ve heard of the stories of living trees that lived a long time ago. Treants, I believe they were called. I should be able to make that. They were supposed to be strong, and wise.
Exactly what I need right now.
Hmm... I don’t think that I can create anything that can talk, though. I know a lot about plants, but in the area of animals, I’m a bit lacking. What if I... Yeah, thats a good idea.
A couple trees later, I created something pretty cool.

I poured what little mana I had left into the treant, climbed a tree, and went to sleep.
Boy, all this mana channeling is making me really tired.
When I woke up, I fell out of a tree. I then saw that the [Mana Flowers] that I planted yesterday were partially grown. The [Mana Flower] only starts absorbing mana when it’s fully grown, so I decided to to pour my mana into the flowers. It takes 600 mana to fully grow a [Mana Flower], but these ones were already partially grown, already about 6 hours old. By splitting up my 620 mana into 18 different flowers, I was only able to get about 30 mana into each one. Damn.
I was getting a bit hungry, so I searched for some nuts and berries before falling asleep again in my tree.
When I woke up again, I got some more food and went back to my little grove.
There, I saw that all of my flowers had grown a bit.
A couple more days, and I can power grow my [Treant].
I spent my mana on my [Mana Flower], and went to sleep again.
When I woke up, I noticed that my 18 [Mana Flowers] were fully grown.
The next day, all 19 of them turned blue.
After planting the seeds of all of the flowers, I channeled all of my mana into the [Treant Acorn]
After checking the status, I found out that 100 mana decreases its growth time by 1.
So, for 27 days, I need 2700 mana. From each petal, I get 200 mana. For each flower, i’ll get a total of 1200 mana. So, I’ll need 11 petals plus my own mana supply to have it grow.
Suddenly, a 4 foot tall tree climbed out from the ground.
“Greeting, Mistress” It told me telepathically.
“H-Hi. Inspect”

“Beatings? Yes, Mistress.”
“Oh.”
We were both silent for a minute, before Broll spoke again.
“You should start creating more Treants, we will help you plant your mana flowers.”
I made 7 more acorns, and planted them around the clearing. I then used the mana petals to grow all of them. After that I only had 3 mana petals left, which I ate and used on the [Fountain Mushroom]. The [Fountain Mushroom] seemed to grow differently for some reason, because it took more mana to grow it. With only 600 mana, I was able to partially grow it.
“Inspect”

moisture from the air, and water from rain
and collects it in itself, which is shaped
like a bowl.

can hold 1000 liters of water, or 1 kiloliter.
I yawned loudly.
“Hey, Broll. Can you guys water the flowers and stuff?”
“Yes, Mistress.”
“Thanks.”
And, for the first time in several days, I was able to sleep out of a tree.
