Jonathan was a soldier. he has a whole lot of experience with survival, especially in the outer space environment. One of those experiences is about how to survive when you are trapped with limited resources.

the first thing he did when he was a soldier to survive was to minimize the cost of living. that includes his food and oxygen intake which will always be lacking everywhere in space. you cannot find extra food in outer space and relying on luck to find a new food source is stupid. That is why soldier always keep their food consumption low when in danger. As for oxygen, it is really scarce to the point space soldier have to learn how to minimize their body oxygen usage.

the second thing a soldier needs is a safe place. no matter how much it is, a space soldier has to find the safest place they can to increase their chance of survival. especially since in space, danger can come in any direction and without any sound.

right now, Jonathan is executing this standard protocol for himself with a bit of change. he sent five Builder Bots to find an energy source because he knew there would be no rescue for him. his choice is either to turtle up or improvise. but he also realizes the need for a safe space for his own survival, which is why he orders the other five Builder Bots to build him a safe space. he didn't explain what kind of safe space he needed but he still put the required size of space he needed.

the ten Builder Bots quickly do their job. five of them quickly spread and began to search in every corner of the room to find any trace of energy sources. the other five Builder Bots maintain their group. these five then quickly peel off metal plates from the walls around the Data Center Room and begin to cover the Dream Scape with it. the idea is to create a metal box where the Dream Scape and Jonathan inside can remain safe from any physical harm while waiting for a new energy source.

while all the Builder Bots are busy doing their jobs, Jonathan who is still inside the Dream Scape is currently sitting still. he is doing a meditative stance where he can decrease his breathing and heart rate to decrease the amount of oxygen he needs to the bare minimum. of course, he cannot maintain this condition for too long as humans still need oxygen to remain healthy. but dangerous situations need a dangerous method. it is better to survive in sickly conditions rather than dying in health.

waiting and waiting, every second is like a long and slow torture for Jonathan as his body begins to remember that it needs more oxygen than it currently provides. until finally a notification sound rang from the Computer Table!

- Builder Bots B has found a new source of energy! -

- Builder Bots requested permission to build a new energy generator. yes / no -

two lines of words appear on the table. Jonathan quickly awakens from his meditative state and approaches the Computer Table. he quickly reads the notification and proceeds to press yes.

a progress bar then appears on the Computer Table Screen. behind the progress bar is an image of a new kind of machine that Jonathan has no idea what is it. he can only guess that it is the new energy generator the Builder Bots is about to make.

hours go by and finally, the new energy generator is ready. under Jonathan's permission, the Builder Bots quickly put the new generator in the Dream Scape. the fuel for this new generator turns out to be the unknown material that is found in the Alien Spaceship metal walls and floors.

the Dream Scape is finally able to regenerate its energy sooner than he can expect, and all of its function is finally returned. the data retrieval has also begun to continue and everything is back to normal inside the Dream Scape.

Jonathan can finally relax. he is back to his old self and quickly finds something to eat. all that survival mode made him quite hungry. a short time later, Jonathan is done with his food and goes to check on the data retrieval.

when Jonathan checks on the data retrieval, he can see that Dream Scape has no information about the language used on the data. of course, Jonathan already expected this but he has hopes. just a little bit.

luckily some data can still be used even when there is no knowledge about language. some of them are ship schematics and any picture-based information that is not corrupted. Dream Scape AI managed to find a few schematics that show the design of the Alien Spaceship, Alien Battleship, and Spaceship Innerwork Design.

Jonathan with no basic knowledge of any advanced technology decided to leave the schematics to the AI and only asked for Dream Scape to upgrade itself. he asked for a weapon upgrade and an overall increase in spaceship capability including defense and flight power.

the Dream Scape AI then offer some choice about weapons and overall upgrade, but Jonathan just let the AI choose for itself instead of choosing himself. Jonathan somehow feels like the Dream Scape someone Elsa entrusted to him, even when he realizes that Dream Scape is just a spaceship.

after all the upgrade decision is made, mostly by the Dream Scape AI itself, Jonathan continues the process by giving it to the Builder Bots. the Builder Bots quickly scatter around and begin to tear down the Alien Spaceship. the difference this time is the Builder Bots choose the parts they take down carefully, picking one with less damage or stain while leaving the unusable one behind.

they first create some kind of furnace, that they power up using Dream Scape's new energy generator. the furnace then became their main base for making everything. new internal structure parts, plating parts, components, and small bolts.

when they find out that making that many little components is gonna take quite some time, they begin to tear down the Data Storage for its components. they learn about its functions by tests and trials, then use the needed parts for the upgrades. the Builder Bots throw away quite a huge part of the Data Storage structure as it is not required for the new upgrade.

while most Builder Bots are busy tearing down the Alien Spaceship Data Storage Room, one Builder Bot begins to work on the Dream Scape. this single bot begins to loosen some bolts or remove some protective plates to make the upgrades faster and easier.

meanwhile, Jonathan can only stare from the Dream Scape cockpit as he sees something that he didn't expect. hundreds of burned corps from the Alien Spaceship passengers are revealed to be hidden under the floor below. Jonathan didn't know what is it down there but to have this many burned corpses in one place means that their story must be very sad and depressing.

from the remains that he can see, Jonathan can see that these aliens have soft bodies like humans. their charred corpse has four hands and two faces in one head, one at the front and one at the back. some of them look like they wear uniform pieces, as similar kind of clothing is seen on many corpses. meanwhile, some others wear various kinds of articles of clothing which means this spaceship didn't only carry military personnel, but also civilians.

"a huge spaceship with war-induced damage. this might be a rescue ship that failed to escape from the war."

Jonathan wishes to put the bodies to rest, at least to honor the warriors and their efforts. unfortunately, Jonathan cannot leave his own spaceship. he can only offer a bit of praying before asking one of the bots to cover the bodies once more.

seeing the corpses made Jonathan think about the passengers of Dream Weaver once more. did they manage to survive? or do they all die?

maybe if he can find a way back home to Earth, he can find out about what happened to the passengers. Jonathan has heard about how space and time can sometimes go chaotic in space. Elsa told him about this and how humanity has tried to find a way to go back in time to fix some of the past mistakes.

the scientists of humanity manage to find a trace of chaotic time and space when they travel in the Dream Weaver. unfortunately, they cannot research it since it almost made the Dream Weaver turn into an old piece of metal and ore. they regretfully have to leave the place as the danger level is too high.

Jonathan realizes that he is currently being emotional, thinking about fixing something that he doesn't have any control over. but a man can hope, and he really hopes he can do something about the Dream Weaver accident. maybe save Elsa and her friends? or maybe prevent the accident by telling them to get away from that black hole?

"an old man is always an old man. so emotional. heh!" said Jonathan to himself.
