To get ready I needed to grab some silk from some small spiders. And a cloth hat for his head. Going out in public meant he needed to wear desist clothing. Math was supposed to be getting ready too.
But "grabbing silk" was going to be more difficult than he thought. Because someone already grabbed all the silk in the nearby trees. Which meant that he needed get to enter the caves of the underworld.
The thing with the underworld is that if you go too far everything just turns into fire. But the spiders (last he checked) were near the top. So he just tried to find an interstice to the caves. once he found one he went in to get the silk. The cave was dark and wet, the floor was covered in goop that looked like a slime had crawled on it.

"Hello?" His voice echoed into the deep damp looking cave, moving my 8 legs slightly to the left. There were no spiders in the cave he found! OK, he's at he point got the jest that the world didn't like me stealing from small spiders.
But come on!
To get the cloth cap for his head... well he didn't know how. So he was going to have to buy one. He needed some meat for trading too so he headed in the direction of the dead cat he had killed. The cat was, predictably, was eaten by now by a giant orange slime.
