Ay, 'tis I, Sola-sama, the author of Soul Venerable.
First of all, I would like to apologize for the delay in chapter, even though the release rate of a chapter a week is already slow (In RR, it's been two chapters a week because they are catching up with SH). Can't help it, been busy being rejected.
Secondly, I need to tell you on RR platform that this version is the new iteration of SV, it's a re-write of an old one. If this Soul Venerable is the first version that you read, then you are a new reader but don't worry about missing anything and why you don't understand a lot of stuff here, my style of writing is just like that and volume 1 omit a lot of thing.
Thirdly, I welcome new and old readers with open arms, but some of you old readers who have read my previous iteration of Soul Venerable must be acting like that de Caprio pointing meme. My plan for this new-Soul Venerable was just a massive edit to shave down what made the original Soul Venerable cumbersome to read, but during the formulation of volume 1, I had an explosion of idea.
You see, my editor (who's busy with his own thing now), once told me that my style of writing is better-suited for long story with deep schemes in mind. I'm aware that this'll made my works always be a low-rating series, probably a niche title, but I want to write a story that I like, not to cater the wide market with dubious taste (*ptui* I hate Solo Leveling and the generic KR necromancer-regression or regression-system story, they ruined the necromancer class and regression trope for me). I'm sorry if you can't enjoy my Soul Venerable, you are simply not my target market. It is simply not for you, so please move on kindly. However, if you ever reached the epilogue of volume 1, it means the 'normie' or the 'casuals' filter has done its function. You've probably liked Soul Venerable already.
Alright, let me address the elephant in the room. The amount of foreshadowing I put in my writing sometimes made people comment on how 'useless' some information was early on or giving off the feeling 'info dumpy', and I felt that (trust me, it was way worse before. I know that's not a good style of writing, but I'm completely bias and I don't care. I want to make my own style). Of course, not all of them are bad, at least to my opinion. Anyhow, considering the length of each of my chapter has (3k to 4k), I think it's not fair for me to put a sentence, typically as an off-hand comment, as a foreshadow for a significant plot point in the next volume or so, that is what I've learnt while writing old-Soul Venerable, I'm trying to suppress my bad habit in this version. The idea that I got during the formulation of new-SV was to simply plan 'less ahead'. Less foreshadowing and just use them in not too far away, or at least, tell my readers directly instead of using cryptic foreshadowing.
To answer the question that might be brewing in your mind, yes, I had already planned Mordred already having multiple truesouls even during my writing for old-SV, I simply never went to that point where I can elaborate deeply. This Series is planned to be very long, so if you're expecting an instant power up, instant gratification, or a major conflict being solved in two chapters, I'm sorry to burst your bubble.
As you might notice, the first Volume of new-SV (this version) isn't all about Mordred, but that'll change in Volume 2 which will be focusing on him and world building, especially the cultivation systems. A little bit spoiler: it'll be about the Armored Soul Tribe. I won't be able to surprise old readers with what the Armored Soul Tribe is and its mechanism, so I don't think it'll cost me an arm or a leg to give a spoiler here.
In any case, I've been trying to improve my style of writing, but, much like the average Tom, Dick, and Harry, I'm a person with irl responsibilities and worries. My job applications are constantly being rejected, and my debts are piling up. Without an income, I can't write peacefully, but fret not, I won't monetize Soul Venerable since this is my hobby. I fear if I took that first step, it'll contaminate my motivation and betray my personality. However, let's be realistic for a second here, I can't live without money. If someone were to donate any amount, it will absolutely help me, but I don't recommend donating unless you have nothing better to spent it on. However, if you do want to support me, you can do so through my paypal (go look for that button somewhere since sharing that here is not allowed iirc), but let me emphasize it once more, it is not recommended unless you're a rich sultan, an oil magnate's descendant, or a Jamaican prince descendant or those reech peeps who wipe their ass with dollar bills.

ps. I've never posted my old-SV in RR since, believe me when I say: 'it wouldn't fit RR's high standard'. As a hobbyist writer who doesn't want to go pro (at least currently), if the grammar police of were to criticize my earlier iterations of writings, they would be able to drown me with their spit alone, killing my creative style in its inception. Yes, my grammar is shit, English is my 3rd language, so I implore you to stop telling me I have a shit grammar. I am fully aware of that. Instead, show me where I can improve them or what my dyslectic eyes missed through the comment function down below, leave a constructive feedback so we won't be wasting our time debating or trolling each other. Anyway, I want to write what I want, not to cater the wide market, so I don't care too much about ratings and whatnot. If you have to leave a bad review, that's completely fine but at the very least, make it constructive. If you want to read my old-Soul Venerable (Would probably changed the title to True Purple or or something similar since it contain the perspective of True Purple), you can find it here but let me tell you that, I'm re-writing SV for a very big reason, so don't expect for a masterpiece there, especially the earlier chapters.
