The demon face to face with Kai turns his body to face Kai with an overbearing pressure.

Kai terrified of this sight tried to get into a defensive stance but before he could move he heard a roaring thud, where the demon stood were two expansive holes there instead, Kai looked around but there was no sign of the demon until he saw a shadow next to him, moving his head quickly to locate the source of the shadow he saw the demon preparing to slam it's sword, Kai's thoughts accelerated to formulate a plan.

Suddenly he felt a weird sensation as if electricity surged through his body and he found himself on the other side of the street they were fighting on, Kai confused look around at his new surroundings or he would have if there wasn't a demon sprinting at him.

When the demon was in appropriate range it slashed its sword toward Kai, stumbling Kai moved back to dodge tripping over his feet he then felt the same sensation again this time he only found himself a few inches away from the demon, using this ample opportunity Kai reached for his katana on his hip and charged the demon.

His sword penetrated the skin of the demon, Kai once again stumbles backwards and looks upon the demon bleeding profusely.

With no care in the world, the demon marched forwards toward Kai who sat on his ass, the demon raises his foot and boots Kai in his jaw propelling him into a building.

"So that's how it works," Kai says with a smirk.

Kai's body blurs, and the same sensation again fills his body after his epiphany, he flashes towards the demon, sword in his hands and attempts to cut the demon in half.

Kai's sword slices through the demon's torso butchering it in half.

Kai breathes a heavy sigh in relief, suddenly he is blown a few feet he looks up and sees the demon perfectly fine even his first cut on the demon is gone.

So much had happened he forgot this was a test the demon wasn't real, and there was no real threat so Kai pressed his teeth together and once again charged the demon as does the demon Kai sheathes his katana and threw a left hook, the demon thrown off guard and stunned stands dazed, Kai continues to throw haymakers.

Kai with a twist jumps and Roundhouse kicks the demon in the jaw, still stunned Kai drop kicks the demon's back causing it to fall over.

As the demon fell to the floor Kai was already crouched in front of the demon.

The demon somewhat felt different as it began to get up, Kai got into an offensive stance until suddenly a punch landed on his solar plexus, taking the brunt of the attack Kai was again propelled this time into a street light Kai slowly losing consciousness and saw the demon attempting to say something.

"Lu... hear me.." said a voice that sounded inhuman.

Kai felt an indomitable gaze from high above the clouds gathered fast, something was different.

There was red thunder in those clouds.

Kai's perception blackens and loses consciousness.

Kai awakes to a white ceiling and the buzzing of a ceiling fan and murmurs to his side

"He lost consciousness?" said a familiar voice to his left.

"Mate to be fair I pissed myself the first time so it isn't a surprise." another familiar voice said from his right.

"You really just admitted that." the voice from the left said suppressing his laugh.

"Well it's just us, it's not like Kai's waking up anytime soon." the voice from the right said.

Upon hearing his name Kai shot up.

He looked to his right and saw a grotesque monster taking human form.

Oh no never mind it was Ethan's shocked face, Kai looked to his left and exchanged humorous glances with Haydon before words could be spoken the door opened and Tatsuo and a man with black hair and greenlights walked in.

The black-haired man had messy hair, green eyes and above-average height.

"Kai, I see you have woken up maybe due to your ability or basic human grit, anyway glad to see you're not hurt too badly."

"I'd say that the massive gash across his chest is quite an injury no?" Haydon said frankly with no care in the world.

Tatsuo shot a meaningful glare but didn't respond to Haydon.

"So Kai, how did you figure out how to use that teleportation of yours?" Tatsuo questioned.

"I'm just a genius, I don't know what to tell you." Kai said jokingly.

A voice rang out in Kai's head.

"Oi don't take the credit fam!" Alexander shouted angerly.

"Anyway, I say you make a pretty good hunter Kai, I think probably around the Grade 3 area but with enough time and perseverance you could manage to reach the 'Unknown Grade.'"

Kai, feeling a sense of profound confidence, goes to speak.

"So I will have you tag along with Ethan on his mission tomorrow." Tatsuo cut in with a smile.

"Oh great babysitting duty," Ethan said in the background.

Tatsuo shot a look at Ethan over his shoulder.

"Anyway, this is Toki Link. He will be healing your injuries."

"Heya buckaroo how's it hanging brah, My name is Toki, Toki Link." said The green-haired man named Toki.

"My name is Kai. Nice to meet you."

Toki grabbed Kai's hand from his side and shook it.

Kai cringed.

A few minutes later.

"There you go my bestie pal I healed up that goodie ol wound of yours," Toki said cheerfully

"Yeah, thank you Toki" Kai tried his earnest best not to cringe.

"Anyway I have plans with my friends so I'm just gonna.." Kai slowly crab-walked to the door.

"Bye." he walked out the door.

"SEE YA FELLA!" Toki Shouted.
