"Kai… Kai!"
With a jolt, he snaps awake, disoriented and confused finding himself in his bedroom, Kai sits up to get
ready for his new school named Faraday School
His mother hands him a disc, on the cover says
For Kai From Dad.
Kai has moved to a new home after his father died a week ago and decided to move schools in hopes of making new friends.
As Kai is getting dressed for school he plays the disc on his TV and on the screen is his dad
"Hi Kai if you're seeing this then I wasn't around long enough to tell you but there is a different world out there, you'll soon find out what I'm on about but you have a power different from everyone else's The Soul Vault and not only is it a power but its a physical vault and you will one day find it but when you do, this will all make sen--"
His father's words echoed in his mind "There is a different world out there… The Soul Vault…"
It was absurd. His dad had always been a storyteller who loved to weave fantasy tales.
Kai remembers stories of hidden worlds and secret powers. But this felt different, delivered with a serious tone that left Kai unsettled.
Stuffing his books into his bag, Kai tried to focus on his new school, moving away from their old home and friends, his mother had thought a new start would help.
As he headed down the stairs, his mother noticed his distracted look. "Did you watch the video?" she asked
Kai nodded, not ready to talk about it. Instead, he grabbed an apple, gave a quick goodbye headed out the door and headed to Faraday school.
At school, Kai tried focusing on the usual stuff like new faces, new classes and the challenge of navigating the halls.
He walks in his new class with people calling him a new skinny boy but someone obnoxious walks in similar to Kai, just as skinny as Kai but he's taller with brown hair and blue eyes the man gives him a curious look and runs over to him saying
"OMG, you're the new skinny guy, by the way, I'm definitely more skinnier."
Throughout this awkward conversation about whose skinner an even more obnoxious guy walks in he's also SKINNY but shorter than Kai with brown hair and dark brown eyes and gives Kai a curious look and runs over to him saying
"OMG no~ way~ you're also skinny."
Now all three of them are arguing about who is the skinnier one, and suddenly a woman walks into the classroom. The shorter brown-haired man smiled and whispered something to the tall man Kai overheard the whispers.
"Ethan back me up, I'm gonna go rizz up Willow"
Said Haydon.
"Are you sure you want to do that now?"
Said Ethan.
"Yeah of course I got a plan" said Haydon
'Whispers between them'
Haydon shouts positively "OKAY!"
Then walks up to Willow and says
"Willow you're like a beautiful flower that hasn't had water in a while and I'll be your water...…."
Ethan starts crying at the beautiful rizz
Willow blushes then *SLAPS* Haydon.
Kai and Ethan stood in awe dumbstruck after Willow slapped Haydon, Ethan whispered to Kai
"I personally thought that was amazing, it should've worked. He is The Rizzler after all."
*Dringggggg*
"It's lunchtime." Kai thought to himself, I need to make friends but i REALLY don't want to talk to those weird guys
Appearing behind Kai are Haydon and Ethan saying "OMG you should walk with us"

Kai, too nervous to decline, accepts and walks with them and Willow. Kai notices a few things about the odd duo, they both wore similar crosses, and also something very strange with Ethan. HE CAN'T WALK STRAIGHT!
Kai turns to Ethan and Haydon and questions them about the crosses.
Haydon grabs him by the collar and says coldly "You must never know."
Ethan nods in agreement.
They walk to the canteen to get their lunch. Kai tries to wrap his head around the reason those crosses hold a heavily guarded secret.
At lunch, Ethan asks Willow where Ava is and she says she's busy with her dad's work and she's going to the cinema after school
Willow asks Haydon and Ethan if they are also going with them to see Shout 4 and
They say "Of course we love that franchise."
Kai, feeling left out of the conversation, says he's got to go but he will talk soon to them and walks off trying to figure out why Haydon and Ethan wouldn't tell him about the crosses but ends up getting frustrated.
*Dringggggg* (the bell goes, working on the sound effects!)
"Finally the last lesson." Kai thought to himself
He goes to class thinking about whether moving schools was a good idea or not
Kai was getting stressed on the first day of school not because of the work or hating lessons but all these questions he had locked away in his head.
*Dringggggg* (the end of school bell goes, working on the sound effects!)
Kai immediately gets up and leaves before anyone else and he wasn't sure why he needed to leave so urgently, but he had ended up in a dim and narrow alley. The air felt strange, and tense, as though there was a hidden energy. He goes down an alley but sees a figure on the floor bleeding, Kai knelt down, instinctively reaching out to help. But as his fingers grazed the stranger's shoulder, a surge of something powerful, a rush that sent shivers through his body. He blinked, and suddenly his surroundings blurred.
Kai wasn't in the alley anymore. Instead, he found himself in a surreal landscape, a vast expanse cloaked in mist, shimmering with faint lights that flickered around him, shapes moved around in the fog, shadows that almost felt alive, watching him.
Then as abruptly as it started, the area shattered like a window revealing the real world around him.
He had felt different, almost like his body felt charged, buzzing with energy. His muscles felt stronger, his senses sharper. It was as though he'd been infused with life itself.
Before he could make sense of what happened, he heard footsteps behind him. He looked up, startled, to see Haydon and Ethan behind him.
Kai stood up, his voice frantic.
"I… I didn't do anything! I don't even know what happened, I just touched them, and then… It was like I saw things, like some sort of dream. Now I feel… I don't know. Stronger? I don't understand."
"You're not imagining things. We know what's going on, and it's not your fault" Haydon said calmly but seriously.
Ethan, still on his phone, gave Kai a reassuring nod."
Haydon gently guided him away from the scene as Ethan called someone and stayed behind.
"We'll explain everything, but right now you need to clear your head. Just try to forget what happened until later"
Kai nodded, though he knew there was no forgetting the surge of power he'd felt or the strange vision.
They kept walking until they reached Kai's house.
"Hey, I almost forgot... If you're up for it, we are all heading to the cinema later. You can meet Ava, and we can talk all about this afterward?"
Kai hesitated, still feeling shaky, but something yearned to know more. He nodded, "Yeah… sure I'll come."
"Great, go get ready. I'll pick you up in a bit."
As Kai stepped into his house, he felt a strange mix of anticipation and anxiety. He sensed that tonight would bring answers... Answers about his father's mysterious video, the 'Soul Vault' and whatever happened in that alley.
20 Minutes Later.
Kai sat on the edge of his unmade bed, taking a deep breath as he looked around his half-unpacked room. Boxes were scattered everywhere. This strange electric feeling he'd experienced wouldn't leave him alone. It lingered like a shadow at the back of his mind, leaving him tense. 'Maybe I'm just overthinking it.'
Knock, Knock.
"Oi! You ready?" Shouted Haydon
Kai steps out of his house. Haydon with one glance says
"Ooo~ who are you trying to impress?" Haydon teased with a grin.
"No one" Kai replied as he rolled his eyes with a slight smile
"Alright then, let's go meet the others!" Haydon said
As they walked, Kai asked, "So… who's this Ava girl?"
Haydon gave him a sly look. "Ooo~ she's single, so you might be in luck."
"That's not what I meant," Kai said with a laugh. "I was asking what she's like."
"Oh, she's nice. That's about it really." Haydon shrugged
A few minutes later, they arrived at the cinema, where Ethan and two girls were waiting, Ethan seemed irritated.
Kai's eyes found Ava, and he nudged Haydon, whispering, "I thought you said she was just nice"
"She is" said Haydon
"Nahhh" Kai muttered
"Ooo~ I knew you'd like her" Haydon said with a slight tinge of cringe, nudging Kai
They made their way into the theatre, Grabbing their seats in a row near the back. Kai could feel his stress melting away. He was trying to figure out what he could say to Ava without sounding like an idiot, but the more he thought about it, the more his face turned red.
He was trying to shake off his nerves when he heard Ethan snicker beside him.
"Are you a tomato?.... 'cause you're red as hell!" Ethan said while trying to hold back his laughter.
Kai tried to hide his embarrassment, but Haydon seemed to have caught on. Without a word, Haydon switches seats, sitting next to the other girl, Willow, so Kai can sit next to Ava. He handed Kai a small folded note as he moved, giving him a wink.
Ava noticed the note immediately. "What's that?" she asked, raising an eyebrow with a curious smile.
Feeling cornered, Kai fumbled the paper, unfolding it nervously. He read it aloud, voice barely above a whisper.
"Are you the only 10 I see cause you're from Tennessee."
He felt his face go scarlet as he glanced up, mortified. Ava was staring at him with an amused, skeptical expression. "What the hell was that?" she asked, squinting at him.
"You know you totally messed that up, right?"
Kai gave an awkward laugh making it impossible for him to look at her throughout the film. He could barely focus on the film as he sat there, fuming in silence at Haydon's prank.
As the movie came to an end they all walked out and Kai waited for a chance to pull Haydon aside. When everyone was out of earshot.
"WHAT THE F**** WAS THAT?"
