I'm in bed. Why am I in bed? I dunno, its not a bed I remember being in when I went to sleep. Was I kidnapped? Also don't know but I am not bound so probably not. There is an odd screen floating in front of me.

I suddenly got a spliting headache, it felt like I tripped and banged my head against the wall like 20 times. and I fell to the ground banging my head against the floor only aggrivating the headache further. I was on the floor in a curled up position, sweating non-stop, while the pain slowly faded. Giving me a couple of new memories. Did I say a couple? I meant a whole life of 'em.

My name is Gale Ailmer, I don't remember a ton of my past life, but this one is giving me a ton of de-zha-vou. I am 17 years old and I have just graduated highschool, and I should be looking for a job, though there is one small detail I notice that is different from my past life, there are monsters here.

Beasts from fantasy stories and novels I had read are all real here as well as some new races, like elves and beastman exist too. Currently I am loafing off of my parents while I look for a job, but I didn't know what I wanted to do. With just a measly Stage 1 Aura cultivation I was weaker then most creatures and now I have no aura at all.

My father is a hunter and my mother is a researcher and I inherited neither a high IQ from my mother nor the cultivaton speed from my father. I only have the fighting techinque from school and some brief memories from my past life, some of which are about systems, so I decide to ask my new system some questions.

What are Soul Conversions?

Soul Conversion is the process to turn a user's soul into a spirit animal, able to break the limits of soul power in the body, and forming a symbiotic relationship with the user. Soul Power is equivilent to Aura in your words.

So I turn other peoples Aura into a spirit animal who cultivates together with them?

Alright then, I guess this is what my job will be, converting Aura into Spirit Animals. I have a small amount of spirit crystals I got from my parents that I was meant to buy gear with if I decided to become a hunter, but I have enough that I can use it to form a small business, so I look up good spots of realestate that fits my budget.

Aha! Found a nice two stry building with a basement that I can use for my purposes, I buy it and walk inside. Luckily it was well maintained by the last owner and I don't need to clean up too much but I finish soon, setting up a website and a signboard outside, I wait for custommers. I am surprisingly optimistic for such a slightly shady business idea I just made.

Aria POV

I am walking down the street kicking stones and frowning. I just registered as a Rank 1 Hunter but all of the beginner missions are taken and no one wants me on their team with my skills. I see a new shop on the street and it has a bit of a suspicious skammer like sign on the front of the store. It read in big bold lettering:

Tired of cultivating too slowly? No team wants you for your slow progress? Is it hard to make money as a hunter?

Well we have the solution for you! We can convert your Aura into a Spirit which vastly increasing your talent when cultivating. At the cost of Most of your Aura you can have a companion during your cultivation journey and endless potential.

I look at the advertising in a bit of shock. What the heck is with such a weird ad? Mainly out of curiousity I walk inside of the store and look at the clerk leaning back in his seat on his phone. I call out to him.

"Um Excuse me?"

He looks up at me immedietely and gets up normally.

"Yes Miss?"

"What is up with the sign outside?"

"What about it?"

"Why do you have such an obsurd and scam like sign outside your establishment!" I shout annoyed at the clerk.

"Well everything on the sign is true so why should I lie? Its not that obsurd is it then?"

"You are claiming that this store sells, what, conversions of aura into a spirit?! How is that possible?!"

"Do you know what Aura is?" He responds in a serious tone.

"Yeah everyone is born with a tiny bit of aura and through cultivation we draw in power from the Aura of the world, everybody know that." I say rolling my eyes at the clerk, what point is he trying to get at?

"How did the world gain Aura then?"

"It came from the core of the world 200 years ago, which made all of the monsters and new races come to be, as it says in the history books."

"So what is different from the world and you in terms of aura?" That sentence made me frown a bit, while he was annoying me that question did make me think for a little bit.

"The world produced aura while I collect it for my own use in my body."

"Now what would happen if this store managed to seperate your Aura from your body like the world?"

I couldn't think, what would happen? It's impossible, so no one thought about it because there was no way to seperate aura sucessfully before. This shop essentially was saying it could seperate Aura from the body.

"I see you are pondering it but let me tell you what it means. You wouldn't have to grab aura from the world as your aura would be free to do it itself."

"How is that possible?"

"Essentially everyone would try to seperate the Aura alone, and that would lead to the deaths of the subjects of the experiment. This shop however, seperates and converts Aura into a different being, which is a whole new process."

Right now I was seriously considering the clerks claim. Everything he had said in theory was true, but what was the method the shop used must be a secret but even so it was groundbreaking! I was nearly convinced to try it out, if not for the last statment.

"What happens to the Aura afterward?"

"You lose the original grading and essensially go back to square one cultivation wise, as converting your aura will use up all of the Aura you collected so far. I think its a small price to pay, personally."

"Certainly such a conversion cost a lot, how much is it?"

"Differs person per person, but essentially it is 10 Spirit Crystals per Aura Stage."

When the clerk said that I took a deep inhale. For me that would be 30 spirit crystals! That is nearly all of the money I have, even after I bought all of my gear! If I decided to go ahead and participate I would have to spend all of my savings.

"If I want to do the procedure, where do I pay?" I had already steeled myself to try it out, because this is a life changing store.

The clerk smiled and once I paid him the money I was led to a small room, and I sat down on the bench in the room I was told to close my eyes if I wanted to but I wanted to see the process. the clerk who I now know as the practitioner, placed his hand a foot away from my chest, and I felt an odd tugging sensation.

When I looked down I saw a ball of blue light getting pulled from my chest. it wasn't painful and it was mesmerising to look at, a swirling ball that was emenating Aura around the room. I watch as the practitioner looked around the ball of light and it started to take the shape of a little wolf pup, when he was finished the light ceased and a small blueish gray wolf pup was in the hands of the Owner.

I felt a kinship with the pup and it jumped out of the hands of the owner and into my arms nuzzling itself in my embrace.

"There, here is your new Spirit Companion, go on and give it a name."

I decided to name my little wolf Etta, and it seemed to like the name looking into my eyes and nuzzling me more. the Owner leaned in close to the pup and said some words in an unknown language in front pof us and I heard a little "ok!" come from Etta.

"Huh? What did you do?"

"Consider it a free bonus for being my first customer, normally you can comunicate with your thoughts and feelings but I gave your little pup there the ability to speak, if only to you."

I look down at Etta and asked her something.

"Do you like your name Etta?"

"I do Aria! I like it a lot!"

My eyes widen and I look at the owner and he nods like this is perfectly normal. I then try to feel my Aura to see if it truly separated, and instead of seeing it flow around my body with a core in the center, It flows from Etta around my body and back to her. My Aura is gone but I can still use it from Etta, and I ask the owner what else Etta can do.

"Well Etta and you will cultivate a new technique based around the color of her fur, and when you do you can perform the same feats as other hunters, but you have to be together and you cannot seperate ever. if you are in an area Etta cannot be, Etta can turn to a tattoo on your wrist."

"Tattoo?" As soon as I said that Etta turned into a dash of light that attaches to my wrist, she was in the sleeping position and looked like a small sleeping wolf was on my arm.

"Like that."

"How do I get her back out?"

"Just ask for her to come out, bu I feel we need to talk a bit more first."

"Oh Alright."

"You cannot seperate from Etta to far or else you will suffer intense trauma and pain. In extreme cases you will die, but at most you will only become crippled to say the least. So it is best to stay together, you will know when Etta is too far as you will sense your connection being frayed. To avoid that, is the reason Etta can be in tattoo form."

I sweat a little, I had known there would be some cautions, because this was a groundbreaking discovery but it seems that being to far away from Etta will lead to my fate being the same as the first person who had their Aura separated.

"Tattoo form can only be activated when Etta is at least 5 meters from you, any farther you cannot put her in tattoo form. Also don't keep her in tattoo form to long she will want to explore like the young pup that she is, alright?"

"I got it." I willed Etta to come out and out of my tattoo she came out.

"What do I need to feed her?"

"Spirit Animals live off of World Aura so you don't have to feed her, but I'm sure she will want to try out some foods out of curiousity, and might ask you for more if she likes it. You may leave now, come back if you have anymore questions."

"Thank you."

I walked out of the building with Etta bouncing around looking at everything and asking me what everything is, I answer her as we walk down the street back to my apartment.
