Tomoko's red-orange hair was almost a twin to her face as she glared at Yamato.
"Are you always going to be like this, you moron?" She shouted, her hands balled into a tight fist at her side. Yamato laughed nervously and rubbed the back of his head. At that, Tomoko turned and marched towards the gate, her face still red. Yamato followed quickly behind, laughing.
Suddenly the school bell rung.
"You moron!" Tomoko shouted as she took off towards the shoe changing area. He tried to keep up, but it became obvious that Tomoko was the more active of two... not that Yamato could notice that.
He was currently being knocked over by a girl with black hair. Her bangs hung over her light gray eyes slightly and she had landed backwards onto her butt. Yamato let out an exclamation of surprise as he fell back as well. The girl looked blankly and tried to stand up, but Yamato jumped up and offered his hand. The girl looked at it for a few seconds before taking it.
"Are you okay?" He asked, his eyes peering into hers. The girl nodded, upon closer examination it could be seen that the girl's eyes had a wide border of black under them. Yamato hadn't exactly let go of hand, something that made the girl twitch slightly.
In Yamato's opinion, it was the most opportune moment.
He grabbed the girl's other hand and held the both of them. She stared even more blankly if possible at him as he stared into her eyes. He gave a confident smirk, and while the image of sparkles and softly falling cherry blossoms was in his head, the girl's true concern was the appearance of two blond figures.
"Toshiko!" The short haired blond shouted as she took off in a dead sprint towards the girl, now identified as 'Toshiko', effectively ruining the non-existent romantic moment between the both of them. The blond tackled Toshiko into the grass and had her pinned as Yamato tried to speak up however the appearance of the second blonde who's hair was longer, stopping below her shoulder blades.
The real kicker was her height, body, and face.
The girl had to be at least 6 feet tall, fairly muscular as if she spent a good amount of her time at the gym, and her face...
She was slightly tan, not as dark at the other blond, but not as pale as Toshiko. The real outstanding feature had to be the long, tannish white scar across her nose and along her jawline.
If first impressions were anything to go off of:
Tall blond: Delinquent, or at the very least, someone who got in trouble often.
The author's tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
Extremely tan blond: Lackey(?) to the taller one, extremely energetic.
Toshiko (?): Victim.
And Yamato, being the self proclaimed main character, stood in front of the tall blond and shouted, "Stop this instance!"
The blond looked at him before raising an eyebrow. The two girls stood up just as the bell rang again.
'Shit!' he thought, although his face didn't betray the harsh glare as he stared up at her. A smirk crossed the girl's scared face. She walked past him and towards Toshiko, Yamato took a running start at her back, ready to leap into action like the main character he knew he was!
He didn't make it too far.
Yamato tripped on a rock and landed in such a way that he slid under the blonde, catching sight of her underwear.
"Wow," exclaimed the tan blond who had shifted her hold on the dark haired girl. "Good thing I tackled you when I did! That guy has to be a prevert, right?"
The other blond moved to the side and looked down at him unimpressed.
"This doesn't mean anything!" He exclaimed, springing up to face her. He took a moment to fix his clothes before clearing his throat.
"The real issue is that the two of you are bullying Toshiko and I'm going to put a stop to it!"
Silence.
No loud exclaimations of 'bring it on' or even ugly laughter.
Just three girls staring at Yamato as if he had lost his mind. Toshiko stood up from the now slack hold of her captor and said, in the most monotonous voice ever possibly heard, "We're not friends."
This caught him off-guard as looked at her, obvious confusion on his face as he tried to speak up again. He was however cut off by the same monotonous voice.
"We are not friends so you don't get to call me by my first name. I would never consider becoming friends with a narcisstic pervert like you."
Yamato felt as each word punctured his body as he stared at the trio of girls, his skin pale and clammy with shock as the blond who once on the ground sprung up and wrapped her arms around Toshiko's waist. She smiled widely before exclaiming, "That's right! Me and Akumu are her best friends so we get to call her by first name and everything!"
The blond turned towards the other and asked, "Right Akumu? We're her best friends, not that weird prvert right?"
"Definitely." Akuma mumbled as she started to walk away. The caught the other twos attention as Yamato laid on the ground, similar to roadkill on the street.
"I thought you were coming to school today?" asked Toshiko, who was still being held while the other girl rubbed her face against hers. Akuma shrugged before saying, "We're already late; the bell rang like an hour ago. I don't feel like going anymore. I would rather go hang out at your place than come to school today."
She then throw a glance at Yamato's depressed form before saying, "Not to mention, that pervert ruined my good mood."
"Same. Toshi, lets hang out at your place today!"
Toskiko nodded and the trio started to walk away, leaving Yamato on the ground crying softly.
'No,' he thought as he stood on his feet. 'As the main character, I will make sure that all my supporting cast acknowledges me for the great person I am!'
And with his fervor for being the center of attention restored, Yamato Takahashi ran into the school building... only to run into the male gym teacher, Mr. Akiyama, who glared at him and gave him a lecture on lateness and punctuality before promising that Yamato would have a hell of workout waiting for him today.

Somewhere in the school, Kaede felt a sharp pain in her temple. She flinched slightly before sighing and thought, 'Stupid Yamato.'
